So the reason I visited Bordeaux in March as opposed to the summer or harvest time is simply because it was my birthday! I just wanted something to do that wasn’t in England, and I’m glad I went. It was certainly an education and I recommend anyone who’s a wine lover (or just curious) to visit Bordeaux once in their lives.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments section below! 😊

Ninh, what can I say…we’ve been sat here watching video after video on things to do and see in Bordeaux, we got fed up of boring videos with no information! You were completely honest, straight to the point and very informative! We’ve absolutely loved your video and have actually booked our flights after watching this! You’re amazing and I look forward to watching more! ❤

Hi Naheed, wow thank you very much for your kind comments. 😀
Yes, I try and inspire people to go to these places by making it easy, straightforward and fun.
I don’t fill my videos with AI robot-rubbish or point the camera at myself for 90% of the video (like every other 'travel guide' out there).
I think you’ll have an amazing time exploring the city (which you'll find super easy to walk around) and doing some fantastic winery tours. It’s a beautiful part of the world! 😍
Be sure to share this video on your social media if you’ve found it helpful, but in the meantime: enjoy your trip to Bordeaux! ✈🍷🙂

    • @UltimateBucketList
      @UltimateBucketList  Рік тому +1

Yes absolutely! I visited quite a few when I was there.
      - Le Havane, it's right around the corner from Bordeaux Cathedral, really easy to find.
      - Tabac du Centre, located inside Meriadeck Shopping Centre.
      - Le fumerais de Bordeaux - specialist shop down the street from the Opera House.
With these three, they're literally a 6 minute walk away from each other. The selection isn't massive, but the prices are good.
The only other place I went to is:
      - Tabac Presse, if you cross over the Pont de Pierre Bridge, it's immediately to your left. Not great selection, but they were the cheapest smokes in town.
      Hope that helps?

One thing he did leave out and I know he can’t put everything in here about his trip to Bordeaux. I recently returned from there, and if you’re a foodie, their farmers markets are unbelievable. They have one of the oldest farmers markets in the country I believe started back in the 1700s and then they have a new modern farmers market by the river, which is just also as phenomenal. Also, I did enjoy your video.

I think it was €150, but you get three winery tours and tastings and a trip to Pomerol and Saint Emilion, so even though it was expensive, it was worth the money in my opinion.
There isn't a company name - the Bordeaux Tourism Office arranges it for you. Just go inside and ask and they will give you a range of tours and prices.

L’entrecote is a great restaurant if you like steak! You cannot book (hence the queue) and there is no menu, starter is a walnut salad, and the main is steak (thinly sliced, best ordered rare or at most medium rare) and chips with an amazing buttery/herby sauce (secret menu) when you are served you may be dissatisfied with portion size but soon they bring a tray with more steak and sauce they will offer more chips. Small but good wine selection , and nice deserts if you can manage! They also have restaurants in Toulouse, Paris and Lyon (all excellent) and London (not managed to try them yet)…

However, we went to Le Carre for dinner on your recommendation and had a very average experience. The worst part of it was the service. But I totally understand where you're coming from.
      Thanks!

Please can you do a Video on the great UK City of York. It's charming & historic, also has a Real life diagon alley. VisitYork is a great website to find out more.
