Thank you very much for the presentation 😉 Its very descriptive and shows that shooting on the right side with something other than thumb draw works thank you! My wife shoots with the same draw you do she finds it more comfortable than the three finger style of slavic shot by Mihai! I told her as long as she's comfortable and shooting go for it!
Given how you mention the thumb, can I make a suggestion for speed shooting? Holding extras in the draw hand differently than Mihai? I've used the method Mihai does A LOT, but also this; the nocks going in a straight line between the forefinger and middle finger (the first and second digits holding them), especially since the nocks on your arrows---by that I mean everything behind the feathers---are long enough. I just came inside from target practice, I took off my shooting glove to experiment with how the hold would go, and it was quite smooth. With the draw hand slightly angled that way you've got it on the Slavic, it helps keep the extra arrows and you can always extend the thumb a little bit to hold them down for good measure.
Thanks for the tip, Derek! Yes, it works, I also practised some different kinds of "shower shooting" with thumb draw until it got wrecked. For me, I'm still faster from the quiver and in most horseback archery tracks you must take the arrows from the quiver one by one anyway :) But good to know different methods that's for sure! -Katariina
@@LAHBA oh yeah. "Variety", key word right there. Shooting ranges I've gone to have guys so unfamiliar with 'this is safe, this draw works' etc. too caught up with 'modern sport archery' bias that I've gotten told off just using that weave method for smoother and quicker draw. That's why I just set up my own indoor range with blunt arrows when the weather's bad. Boxes, bottle on a string, some other plastic container on top of that tall box, etc.
@@LAHBA exactly yeah, I even posted an "EAT THIS!" type of thing on Instagram once regarding that, tight groupings with Slavic draw. Something I've put in my blog before (and I say this to people I try to teach) "No one tells me what to do with my bow but ME."
Another video nice! and I see the "nocking point" on the string... again with some white tape. If you have the time, please talk about it next time. Thanks a lot and for me you shoot very well.. very nice rhythm.
This is one video I wanted to see in details, many show their fast shootings but not the releases. And where did you get that beautiful bow? You should add a link for it.
Sorry to hear about your thumb! Did you ruin it by training too intensely? I started thumb draw quite a while ago but my thumb still gets swollen if I shoot a bit more arrows than usual, and I'm concerned it might cause injury on the long run. Wouldn't be to nice, because I'm a musician, I need my fingers. Nice video tho, keep them coming :) what kind of tape do you use?
Oh no! Maybe a thumb ring would work for you? I injured it multiple times with no archery involved- a horse kicked it broken, I left it between the car door and fell one time on my thumb... so it is already quite done, I couldn't really shoot with it after few years. Luckily there are other options too!
That nock you're making by flaring the tips of a straight (I think you said Arizona) nock - what you're making is pretty much like the Vermil Y-nock. Which is far better engineered than Koç nocks, which I used to like but are unfortunately made to poor tolerances with the result that they fit the same shaft differently.
Yes, Arizona Z. These are super cheap and easy flare. Mihai is shooting with big Koç nocks they are really good too. Vermils are nice but not so easy to open enough - we open our nocks so much they dont snap at all on the string. We have had no problem with the koç nocks so far and used a lot. The new big ones are really nice!
Wow, i really thought this was a target 5m away from you, then when you walked to it you became smaller and smaller….!! It was actually quite far!! I think objects that are at the edge of the camera shot get “magnified”, then when the camera centered on them they became normal small size!

Really quick and easy. Your favourite draw is how I'm teaching my son, along with thumb draw. Thanks!
I enjoy that your happy ness makes us smile, plus i never seen your draw before, thanks
Thanks, great video and a wealth of information shared. Much appreciated.
Thank you Katarina, thats good and more realistic for the beginner..again Thank you..

@@DerekBartlettBeorn Oh gosh yes. I am very allergic to the phrases like "this is the only method" argh! :p

Very nice descriptions! Thank you.
Great video. Thank you for the lesson 😁

I came across this vid by accident and became mesmerised. Thank you. What a great communicater you are 👍.
Very good. Could you please explain more about the nocks and the nocking process?
Best regards from Brazil!
A very informing clip - and a charming presentation!😃👍 Abo!
I like the slavic. I'll try your variant too. Thanks
Brilliant. More collaboration.
Thanks for the lesson
Very informative keep up the good work
My daughter draws her arrow almost exactly like you do. Quite effective for her
Good learning video.
having a hard time finding those big wide nocks, anyone have a clue where one could purchase?

Thanks! ❤️ Living arrow bow designed by Mihai Cozmei available at www.coz.fi 💪🏼🏹
The last draw is how I do Sassanid/slavic draw
Where did you get the thumb knuckle protection on your left hand acting as an arrow rest? That looks intriguing
Wow, it's cool.
Can you tell me whitch arrows you use?

Famous Spped Archer Couple in the World.
Are you using a thumb ring on your left hand as well to protect against the arrow release?
Nope, just a piece of tape just in case!
@@LAHBA I could get a larger thumbring for that then
