Stanford Heart-Lung Transplant: Steve Rasmussen's story

Steve Rasmussen was diagnosed at age 3 with cystic fibrosis, a disease that causes the lungs to produce an abnormal amount of mucous. When Rasmussen was 28, doctors began to talk about transplant-and not just lungs, but a heart, too. Steve Rasmussen became Stanford's 50th heart-lung transplant-and on April 1, 2013, he celebrated 25 years since the surgery.

This is awesome the man is a walking miracle.
There so many complications to lung transplants including infections,cancer etc.
and most people don't survive those so I'm amazed by Steve.
Sending prayers to Steve so he has many more years of a healthy life🙏🙏💖💖

I know this guy and gal too... There my aunt and uncle.. Love you Uncle Steven and Aunt Na Na I remeber this day can't believe its been that long ago. Kisses and hugs keep up the fight....
