I can see why people say this has old AH energy, mainly because Matt and Ray were and still are the type who can actually read/pay attention/make progress without getting too distracted and Nagzz and Chibi are the "get distracted ENDLESSLY and make noise and/or content" type

Dude I was so surprised when he said Ironmouse and Zen "yelled" at him to play Lethal Company with them. Like yeah he's actually relatively popular in the streaming community, especially because of people who followed him from AH but. I don't know, it's still weird to actually think about, y'know? He's just a chill dude that you kinda forget that he's a big name in some areas. At least I do, maybe I'm just weird.

I love this group of people and this was really fun to watch! But like… once. Near the end, by the time everyone was blown up by Chibi and Nagzz for the X-teenth time, it began to be frustrating. Love Nagzz and Chibi, but I would like to see a play through with Matt and 2 others where they focus a little more and get things done.

I bet Matt, Ray, and Zen would make for a great "focused and get things done" group that also brings the chaos from time to time.
The Ray and Matt dynamic is so good. Always looking out for each other both in content terms and trying to actually progress the game.
Honestly, I do hope Ray does a few more sessions with Matt. I love the group together especially in games that allows room for tomfoolery like Lethal Company but it looks like SoT needs a lot more seriousness/coordination to really get going.
Loved watching Ray learn sea of thieves from Matt, and also slowly realizing that nagzz and chibi are just going to play nagzz and chibi in any game where they have freedom.

Man I've noticed this in every video with this group, but it makes me so happy to see and hear how much happier Matt is playing with u guys, he was funny in AH days but despite his efforts u could tell sometimes the group would poop on him so much he would lose his energy, now without all that Let's Play oppression he's come into his own element and I'm so here for it

This was definitely another case of Ray and Matt looking after the 2 kids as they try to get each other in trouble. Personally I think the party games work better with such a group like Mario Party and Game of Life but may just be me. It's fun to see them banter around in other games but I think there can be times where there are 2 different gamestyles clashing. And while I don't mind that and would love to see more SoT with the group I also understand that there can be times when it can be more fun to play the game as a team such as the ghost island fight, even if Chibi at that time was getting hammered.
From 52:20 to 53:50, is one of the funniest things I've seen all year. Just Ray looking at the map and chaos ensuing off-screen that also affects him. It feels like one of those jokes that would happen in Gravity Falls

This is the first time I’ve felt like, secondhand exhaustion from a video, this was so chaotic. No hate to Chibi nor Nagzz, they are very funny and make some great content! To my knowledge though, this is the first time this group is playing a game that isn’t turn-based or semi-linear or has proximity chat, something built into the game to help funnel conversation and focus so that folks don’t go wild every couple of seconds.
I’m just glad this wasn’t the Minecraft collaboration, if this kind of energy was in a stream like that, Ray might go on a 10 year hiatus from that game

Okay, I'm glad I wasn't the only one who felt this way. Nagz and Chibi are great, especially for games like Mario Party, but man, I just wanted to watch the four of them experience the game and all the content it's gotten over the years. I feel like Nagz in particular would have more fun with a crew that was in a public server with the intent to attack other players, but that wouldn't be this crew.

I love this part, Ray just immediately drops what he's doing and runs up after hearing Chibi say she's inside a cannon. He made it perfectly in time, too.
Gael perfectly predicted how this stream was going to go with that artwork. Nagzz wanting to stab things, Chibi jumping off the ship, Matt trying to bail out the ship, and Ray just 😑 in the middle of all the chaos. Beautiful.
I know a lot of people are talking about Nagzz and Chibi not being serious about the game, and while they may have been goofing around and having fun in the first maybe half of the video, they know how to be serious when they need to be, evidenced by the ghost armada battles. They did a very good job of working together as a team to try to keep the ship afloat while fighting the ghost ships, and I myself am very proud of them. ❤

Really feel for Ray saying how mentally exhausting it was to deal with half the crew's shenanigans, since he and Matt ended up doing way more than their fair share of grunt work with moving loot etc. Like I get it if the other two didn't find the actual work part of it appealing and decided to make their own fun with silly shit for most of the time, but it did feel pretty unfair that that choice on their part led to less fun for Ray, even though he repeatedly hinted that they were detracting from the experience. I'd LOVE to see Ray play this with Matt again, though. He mentioned Alex a few times, so maybe she could be one of the other crew members? Not sure who the other two crew would be otherwise, but idk. Matt seemed so excited to play this and show everyone how cool it is, and he ended up with tech issues and screeching and constant puke so I mostly just hope he gets another chance to have more fun with it.

Hey Ray, I wanna let you know how cool that outro was. It's awesome to admit that there are some people you just can't hang with in certain situations. Doesn't mean you don't love them, but you can't play Sea of Thieves with them. Just know it's completely normal, and helpful in all aspects of life! Love the Videe but it clear that playing any game with Chibi and Nagzz can't be anything with progression or story. It felt like different people would get more done. I hope Ray plays it again on stream tho.

There's a whole family dynamic with these 4. Ray is the responsible oldest brother who has to supervise everyone. Matt is the 2nd oldest but is more like the chill middle child. Nagz and Chibi are the youngest who fight with each other the most while trying to impress their older siblings but constantly getting into the most trouble.
Love the vods and especially the ones with these 4. It reminds of something that has been missing from my viewing entertainment for a possible 9-10 years (you know what I mean im sure) not saying this is equivalent or even replaces but it definitely is enjoyable to listen to while gaming and it scratches a very specific itch for me.
God i was feeling the same as ray at the end and i wasn't even the one playing! Totally agree with you ray, if you do play again probably best to do it with a squad that can joke and have fun but also be serious when need be. Hell get Jeremy in on it and have the true team awol.

yea i think if yall coordinated properly like how it was in that Alien Hominid game (you guys were SO in sync when you all knew what to do in that game) I wouldnt mind a 2nd try with this grp in another playthrough. this was a fun watch but it might be a tad exhausting for the ahwol bois.

This was a blast! SoT has a ton of interesting encounters to offer both in Safer Seas and in open servers. But yeah re: thoughts at the end maybe a group who's a bit more committed to teamwork and progression is the move if you choose to stream it again.

I got to catch the first hour or two of the stream, it was so fun!! I played SOT years ago when it came out and Im 90% sure my account was SetSail4Dong 😅 I about died when Ray joked about his version.
Ray just minding his own business fishing half the time while Chibi and Nagzzz are puking on each other lol. A normal day in Sea of Thieves me thinks! lol

I keep returning to this VOD because the chemistry is so fun between everyone, but wow by the end seems like its Ray and Matt being worned down disappointed parents trying to wrangle they pure chaotic children ((Naggz and Chibi))
