Little review and demo of the Seagull S8 mandolin. I’m a fan of the whole Godin family of brands and my fine arts department gave me the go ahead to purchase a school mandolin for my classroom.
I was the previous owner of that mandolin. I added that ebony saddle and bone nut. I'm glad you're enjoying it. I now have an eastman mandolin. The seagull was the one I learned the fundamentals on. Cheers!
@@edek6702sorry for the late reply, I made the saddle. It was more experimental than anything but it did calm the trebles a tiny bit. I made the nut as well.
Joguar it’s just as I bought it used, so if the saddle was replaced that was done by the previous owner. I’d be happy to send you some pictures in the morning.
Hey, do you think there’d be a good spot in there to add a strap button somewhere around the neck/body area? (Yeah, I know it’s a neck-through design, but speaking in terms of the conventional locations.)
