Personally, I never understood why people knock this car either. I've been in love with the coupe's body style since they first came out. I have my eyes on a 2008 LS 5 speed with 146k miles on it for $1,800. Even despite the recalls that were issued, I still see tons of these cars on the road today. I'd be proud to own one, especially the SS version
I have this same year but mine is an LS, crank windows and manual locks. A pretty basic vehicle but it does what it needs to do. No complaints from me, I’ve been very satisfied.
I also own a Cobalt. My was brand new when I bought it back in May 2010. It only had 24 miles on before I took it out for a test drive. After I took it for a test drive, it would become my at 39 miles. As of so far today (April 2014) with only 50,000 miles on it, I've haven't had any major problems with it. My 2010 Chevy Cobalt is also two door like yours and the exterior (outside body paint color) of my is black granite. Since I have no plans on giving up my nice looking Cobalt, I will be getting after market cruise control added along with Viper 5706V security and remote start system added on April 18. My Cobalt diden't come with cruise control when it came out of the factory new. Power door locks will also be added on that same day when cruise control, security and remote start system is added. The only thing left that my Chevy Cobalt won't have is power windows. Other then that, my Cobalt will be ready for this summer.
I long ago stopped buying cars based on what they look like. This is a pretty good little car though, except for the electrical problems that haunted all Chevrolets at that time. Cobalt, Impala, Malibu all had them.
Just got an 07 LT like yours, except it has different hub caps, the dark gray interior, and the rest is stock. It's in Victory red. Funny part is, I also have a 1983 Camaro Z28 project car, which is also in Victory red. Same exact Chevy color, 24 year difference.
You don't say lol. Does the 83 still have the factory paint job? Probably the Cobalts should be looking good if anything like my silver 2006 Cobalt Coupe LS.
@@paulleech6412 Yes it still has the original paint. Now it's been outside for probably all it's life so the paint is a bit rough. Yeah the Cobalt looks good. Very shiny with the exception of some paint chips here and there.
I now have Viper alarm security and remote start system along with cruise control, remote power door locks and remote power windows. So far I'm loving everything on my Chevy Cobalt. DustinB855, do you plan on getting a Viper security and remote start system added to your Chevy Cobalt? I think you should because these kind of cars can get stolen real easy! A lot of people like these Cobalt's and want one!
Did you hear about the GM safety recall on the ignition switch of the Chevy Cobalt? GM did a safety recall on all the Chevrolet Cobalt's (2005 through 2010) in April 2014!
Same car pretty much. Only difference is the computer. (only makes a huge difference if your modding) And I believe you will have the ipod/usb support on the stock stereo.
I hate to say it but depending on the problems with the civic I would have kept it, I bought this exact car but in a light blue almost teal with a Manuel transmission and I've hated it since.
they don't just put the batteries in the cobalts... pretty much all manufacturers are going to that. reason being is the battery doesn't get exposed to the weather as much. doesn't corrode, overall the battery just is better back there.
***** I asked it when I didn't own the car yet. Helped when I was able to play a dvd with mp3's on it. Someone ended up paying for Sirius XM for lifetime on my 06 Chevy Cobalt LT so I dont wana get rid of the stock stereo is sirius cant go with it.
Getting this car on Christmas

Me Too!!
Bought an 07 today with 69,000 original miles. Beautiful as far as basic goes

Cool car, I love the way the coupes look. I live in Colorado too haha
How it handle snow

Nice car. Mine has 154K runs like new.
He actually had gloves in the glove box

Ive definitely thought about getting a security system on mine. Viper would be on the top of my list.

Ya stuck on the waiting list but not too worried about it. Update will be posted soon!
He has one my grandma has a sedan version and got the notice
Yes the 2007 cobalts have one and the 08-10 also have a usb port
I can't count the number of recalls on one hand for this car. Good luck with yours.
Thank God,and my friend, and his cousin the mechanic for fixing my car when the key got stuck in the ignition
Lol just gotta pop the cover on the steering wheel super easy. shouldn't be doing that tho. mine never did.
How have you liked it after driving it this whole time? I'm thinking of getting an 06 Lt too for around $6,500.
I am thinking of a 2007 Cobalt LT should be the same car right? I put a deposit down. I took for a test drive and was alright not like my V8 truck.
Same car pretty much. Only difference is the computer. (only makes a huge difference if your modding) And I believe you will have the ipod/usb support on the stock stereo.
Thanks for the views you guys! Once Colorado decides to stop snowing and I have some spare time Ill post an update video. Lots of new things!
I hate to say it but depending on the problems with the civic I would have kept it, I bought this exact car but in a light blue almost teal with a Manuel transmission and I've hated it since.
I have other cars so I never drive it but no one will buy it.
+Yung Leen this drove much nicer than my civic did and gave me no issues the whole time I owned it really
I've just recently bought one, 2007 coupe and it's a dream lol. From reviews I see, these cars are either a total hit or miss.
+ShaiNaiStov ya and 07s are the weird year if you plan to mod it
Does your car have a keyless remote

How tall are you? I am 6,2 would I fit in this car well
Car is far from stock now!!! And adding more mods to her every paycheck. Video coming soon!!!
the mp3 symbol on the stock stereo, how does that work? like an aux cable or blue tooth?
*****
No all that it means is that it can play mp3 discs
***** I asked it when I didn't own the car yet. Helped when I was able to play a dvd with mp3's on it. Someone ended up paying for Sirius XM for lifetime on my 06 Chevy Cobalt LT so I dont wana get rid of the stock stereo is sirius cant go with it.
Update video coming in the next couple of days!!!! Boy has this car changed and the stories I gotta tell you guys.
Grr weather is not cooperating with me..... :/
Does this car have automatic locks??
Yes it does. Once it stops snowing here in Colorado Im gonna do an update video since Ive had it for 6 months
Hey Sry you guys. I plan on putting out a new video for you guys but working 65+ hours a week at two jobs just has been killing me.
does the car have an aux cord outlet ?
ikr?
No
Wrong they have an aux in the 06 to 10 but didn't have usb until 08.
Aux input?
Not until higher trim models on the 07
Yung Leen That's odd, my '07 Cobalt LS has absolutely no power options, but it has the factory aux port.
Starting at '07, the aux port became standard
Is there an auxiliary for it
Is that your girlfriends car bro?
what do you drive bro?
Pos
lol that's why there's cobalts running over 300k miles with no issues.
+DustinB855 as long as you don't yank your chain
who sells a civic to buy a cobalt? terrible movie
Cobalt is a better car
neonracer1
Much better. Civic was an unreliable pos. This car has been bullet proof.
2001 civics looks gay af
I dont mind the look of them but anyone who thinks cobalts are crap cars I now have two friends that own them and they both are over 240k miles
Plus the transmission problems on 2001 and 2002 civics aint worth the trouble ...good move.
You traded the civic for a piece of shit gm car lool smh
