I noticed the absence of Dolan's sign of the cross at the end, however, I am grateful that an archbishop had the opportunity to pray for the nation. Yes, I would prefer one who is more pius, but at least consider the spiritual battle and the influence that a bishop's prayer has over the country when the president gave the bishop the authority to pray over the country.
