- The Equinox is getting an all new look from Chevrolet for 2025. On the outside you will discover new sheet metal, 18in wheels, grill and LED lighting. On the inside there is an 11in infotainment screen, 11in digital gauge cluster and new materials. Under the hood is a 1.5L turbocharged inline-4 paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. I don't know who General Motors hired a few years ago but I have to say, they are killing it with their new model designs... across the lineup everything they're pumping out is a home run right now. If they can demonstrate good reliability in the next couple of years then I think it's time to buy a whole bunch of stock.
Really? This has the overplayed floating roof design. Crappy Nissan started that over 10 years ago. This also has the ugly split headlight design copied by everyone, now the Equinox. Definitely nothing that screams "killing it" with design.
@@jeffs6090 I dont know, looks pretty slick to me, inside and out. But it's not just this, look at the new GMC Canyon, or the Buick Envista... GMC is pumping out great looking vehicles right now.

Yeah these designs are 🔥🔥🔥. Makes me want to go back to Chevrolet. Hopefully they have made them reliable. Moved away from Chevy after dealing with my Chevy Malibu and the money pit it became.
I have always owned GM cars. I at this time am driving my 2004 Grand Prix. I am the original owner. I have NEVER had it brake down or had to have it fixed. I kept up on maintenance and oil changes. How's that for reliable?

Raiti, I remember in 2005 my great grandma got her a new Equinox and I remember how much she enjoyed driving it up until she couldn’t anymore but then I was driving her around. It’s amazing how far the look and interior has come. I like to think she would be wanting one of these so quick!

GM, well they all do this actually, has a bad habit of understating the price and then coming in thousands above what they promised

Joe, everytime i see this new 2025 Equinox i want one. Did you hear we're also going to get a plug in hybrid version? It's currently being made in China and GM just announced that PHEV's are coming to N/A. Thank you to you and Lori for another great video!

@@ChrisFromFloriduhI also work for a GM subsidiary company. After owning both a GM vehicle and a Toyota one I personally would never choose a GM over Toyota in compact vehicle segments again.

Wow that’s a huge improvement over the current look. We went with the Terrain because I just couldn’t look at another mini van looking Equinox.

chevy really stepping it up for the modern times.
having done more of my own online research for this 2025 Equinox since I first heard of it a few months back. The panoramic sunroof is an option according to the Chevrolet Canada website. All 3 trims will have that option. Personally, I think sunroofs can be overrated with it's pro/cons. But as you've mentioned it is a pre-production model. But overall I am liking this all new inside and out design. The heated seats and steering wheel being standard across the board will be a key selling feature for sure.

The front and back end styling is wonderful. And the rear wiper can stay there because the rear view camera is outstanding in Chevys.

My dealer ordered mine today, this will be my 3rd equinox but by far, the one I’m most excited for. I’ve owned many vehicles over the years but the equinox has always offered more bang for your buck.
The RS model will be available in 2 tone and 20” tires are an option as well 🥰

For the price and what they’re offering, it’s not a bad deal. Wish they’d eliminate gloss and give it a slightly bigger engine. Not as reliable as a RAV4 or CRV, but it’s a massive improvement from the previous Equinox. Just concerned about reliability.
They forgot the sunroof 🤷🏻♂️ Not a big mistake.
Also, the ACTIV cloth stitch leather seats look very nice.

@@xNeptune1 Yep, Sometimes Chevrolet may forgot to put on sunroofs on each brand new vehicle. But it's very common and whole guaranteed.

The interior is great in every respect (does need a sunroof, tho). Chevy designers have been working hard, and it shows.

I think the theory with the rear seats is to fold them from inside the rear doors. Overall these recent crossovers from everyone have been great looking spectacles 👍 .

The 1.5L works in the Malibu but definitely not in any sort of suv. The turbo is basically a engine ornament because it really does nothing for numbers but maybe a tiny bit in torque.

The Equinox finally doesn't look hideous anymore. I couldn't believe the last generation's design made it off the design board never mind into production. It's not part of this video (except for a brief mention) but the design of the new Trex is really, really good--more of that please. The interior of the Equinox is very plain (seats look good though) but I guess that's the norm at this price point. I wonder why the interior wheel hump in the back is so much larger on the driver side than on the passenger side. Thanks, Joe

I had purchased two brand new equinoxs in the past, 2014 then traded in for a 2018. I was very happy with them but I put on a lot of miles for work. Recently traded in for a 2023 Kia Sportage. So far the Kia is pretty nice, but too soon to call it.

The design of the interior and exterior is my favorite of the compact suv segment, but I wish they’d do at least a 2.5 engine. I don’t know how reliable the turbo charged engines are.

I like the new Equinox alot I currently own a 2021 Equinox. Diffently getting the 2025. And much better then the rav 4

I doubt that is going to happen. They are downsizing engines.
Nice styling but look forward to seeing their hybrid powertrain as promised by the GM CEO so this car can have a real chance to compete with the sales leaders of this competitive class of SUVs

Thiis Equinox is quite pretty, nice for the city but I have mixed feeling with the engine. I think I'd go for the RAV4.

RAV4 is a 2019 design, 6 years older than new 2025 Equinox.

Don't zonk for no sunroof. I'm sure it is an option. There are people like me who will never buy a vehicle that has a sunroof. It's just extra complexity and they are known to leak and ruin your headline. As long as it's optional they can provide something for everyone.

According to Chevy’s website, the LT will start at $28,600 and the RS and ACTIV will both start at $33,000
