Saint really pissed me off and eventually I lowkey used an exploit to kill him by never letting him pick up his spear so I skipped his 2nd phase entirely. But fuck DOH lol I used the ultra cheese and made him kill himself

Wow dude, the Divine Child becoming blind to help you kill yourself is actually insane. The storytelling in this feels a lot more accessible than in previous souls games, and I'm legit tearing up at this section that poor girl :( Also I'm noticing a connection between her, the Finger Maidens from Elden Ring, the Firekeepers from Dark Souls, and the Maiden In Black from Demon Souls. They also have a thing about eyes, Demon Souls having the Maiden's eyes covered in wax, the Firekeepers being blind and the Finger Maidens also being blind/having no eyes (even Melina who isn't an actual Maiden is missing one eye, which if you REALLY want to stretch it could be another link with Ranni the doll who seems to only have one eye, and the PLAIN DOLL FROM BLOODBORNE) Holy shit these connections get kinda nutty, also idk if it's neccessarily related but in Elden Ring they banished Godfrey/Hoarah Loux from the Lands Between correct? I mean idk if it's another coincidence but Owl looking MIGHTY close to the first Elden Lord tbh. He had bestial aspects as well, and it's entirely possible he may have travelled there and adopted a whole new persona although again that's a HUGE stretch

But clearly didnt go right as you end up killing him, but this is a sort of time paradox where you go back and stop it entirely and end owl.
