Everyone always says spear is bad but I've been doing great with it. It staggers and kills units, kills heroes fine. It's just very hit and run, requires knowing when to dodge or block. Learning how to fight while on mount helps huge.
well i still love my glaive and never forget glaive is the only class exept for longsword that has a buff ability and a strong one at that 15 % dmg buff for you and nearby units, so yeah with the right gear you have a class with quite good burst damage, a DMG buff and quite good tankiness, so pretty much a jack of all trades class and yeah can totally get why you find the class clunky Nobunaga it just takes time to get used to.
I came back to the game after a year and my longbow deals less dmg than it usually did :/ so I decided to create a new character and replay from beggining masterizing a new weapon, using double sword right now but I might give the scimitar a try, seems fun for me
Yeah good for single target for sure, its also excellent in breaking blocks on heavy units. Mainly I use this to disturb advancing shields preserveing my lines, or to crack the shell when enemies are nestled in and I don't have a unit that can break the defenders block.
Yah bow are not great right now and I prefer it stay that way. Back when Long bow ain't nerf they can head shot your units from half the map away on some distant tower. Imagine you minding your business trying to get to the frontline only to have half your units destroy by a long bow explosive arrow from across the map. Now on higher level they still viable especially if they use their hero to go after high value target such as Falconetti, Flamethrower and specialize units. Short bow I don't see them often but when I do they kill Pike pretty fast but other than that they are utter non-noticable.
from my POV, dual is at the bottom of the society. Honestly if you guys want to be an assassin, play scimitar, much better, may be the best in light amor.
scimitar is actually destroying the game currently. this weapon i so overpowered with it stunlock/capclosers enemies have no chance to react somehow. the game would be much better without... scimitar kicked maul from the throne of the most annoying weapon of the game
@luzbrother most classes will be able to stunlock you into heavy units for the ill, two heros catch up at the right time it's over for most players...if u get stunlocked to death by a class 1v1 ...don't duel it...I say that after getting thrashed all day by every single class except whatever I was playing...today was musket
@@HellHoundzProductions bullshit i dont have problems with any other class.. no other weapon can stunlock you from far away dealing so much dmg , while you can do nothing. this weapon destroy this game . many left and more will leave
@@luzbrother Short sword has always had nasty Hard CC. but i notice differnt classes target me depending on what class i play. lately with musket its been glaive and poleaxe, if im in Heavy armor, its usually a Dual, or a chain dart...i mean i get your point as the scimitar tends to go for me no matter the class if he catches me alone...but usually cant catch me as musket
uhmm. If u want to play spear, u must have a good horse. Moreover, it is an expensive class. If u dont have purple wepon or amor, trust me, it will always be lack of damage. (POV a spear player)

With lower ping, pike and scimitar are the most killer classes of the game. The problem is the unbalanced cd reduction of scimitar.

Full strenght. You can go health+armor. That's how i would do it. Maul already got the dmg.
