You forgot an important note for all the neutral outposts in the world (like Shamans Hill) they all offer blue artillery crafts to everyone. Depending on the region you can craft whatever they offer and they dont need a certain level or anything. So blue Mortar, Culverin and grapeshots are always possible to craft!
Couple things I do, I throw away all the basic stuff u dont really need much of it and can it anytime u need just keep the exotics aka tin, calamine, shellac and sinews the rest is pretty much useless also farm near free towns if u can and instead of running home every time u are full just duck into free town put it all on the market for MINIMUM price once u leave the town cancel the sales a resource pile is created in that free town with your stuff plus IF u get fielded which does happen you dont have anything they can take if they win. When all done farming go back to home city and u can pay to have your resources shipped to you at the watchman OR drop your units and run back to the free towns and just pick it up u will move faster on the map without the serf warband. Also really try to max out the research nodes it will help u acquire more of each resource as u farm so u get more for the same price.
in case you didnt find an awnser until now. you press U in game to get to ur units. then go to the melee units on the left and uncheck the box in the top that says hide units that you already have. and then build 4 more serfs. and then you can equip them while leaving the city
Hello, I'm a returning player. I stopped at a low level and I dont know get a mace sergeant. Apparently I'm supposed to get one, do you know how does an old player get one. Im level 50 as of posting this.
Tienes que llegar al nivel 100, cuando llegues a ese nivel le das a la tecla “U” y te vas al árbol de unidades, arriba a la derecha verás un botón dorado que dice “Tienda de Honor”, en esa tienda podrás comprar la Ficha para reclutar a los sargentos de maza y también sus pergaminos de maestría. Los sargentos de maza deben tener la maestría completa para ser decentes.

This is the open world system, you will only use this when unit unlocks require fief quests.
To be honest when I gather resources from the open world I just sell it on the auction house for the silver. Use the silver to buy the things I need.
Crafting system is the worst in the entire game. It really needs a massive rework.

I can't understand how you earn more bronze, how you lose when you take good units with you. I get 9-11k brontze and lose about the same.
Open world kills are so very fun . If you attack somebody who has been farming you will get half their stuff if you win
