I had a horrible trip last October and I can’t even bring myself to print the photos. This is one trip that may never be documented which is such a shame because I was looking so forward to it! Hopefully the bad memories will fade and eventually I will remember the fun parts. I have just recently discovered your channel and am loving all your videos.
My ex-husband and I traveled from California to Disneyworld in FL in autumn of 1987. Early that week the stock market crashed and we didn't know if we should leave then, rent a car, and drive across country to get home. It was all a bit iffy there for a few days with flights being terribly disrupted and talk of mass cancellations. That put a dent into things. I think it is important to remember via journaling the ick along with the fun and great, because it is a part of life. Thanks for sharing.
I think journaling about dark moments is a good idea. It’s a way of letting go of them by adding some brightness and colour. Remember it was in the past now and it all worked itself out in the end ❤
hi lisa! if u havent had an idea already, for the trip with the dark memories id suggest using the travel day to just dump all of the negative memories onto- u could hide it with hidden journalling so u dont see it every time u flip through
I have sort of done the same as you, telling myself to journal when I feel like it, and if I don't remember everything because I'm too busy or days just fly by, so what? It has made journaling more fun and relaxing. Some days I just paint or otherwise decorate my journal and then the next day I might journal on the decorated page... I try to be more relaxed about it all, but at times it is difficult haha. But I'm getting better every day I think xx
Documenting the bad stuff - we took a trip to the Dominican Republic in July for our anniversary. Three days in I got sick from dehydration, then came home with Covid. I felt like such trash that I left my purse in the Uber on the way home from the airport. What a sh*t show of a vacation! 😂 I can laugh now and documented all of it in my journal. ;) the good, bad and the ugly. 😂
I'm from North Carolina. What all did you get to see here? I love your videos, by the way! I just started junk journaling this year, and you've been a huge inspiration!
We had one bad memory. 911 had happened half of the kids were with Grandma Fran in Tennessee for a funeral and we were living in Michigan for the year but my husband was in the Army in Egypt getting ready to come home that same day to go to the funeral. But, all flights were cancelled. Grandma tries to make them get what was going on. Kids ask me not to journal about it. Just a bad memory for them.

I loved seeing your journal pages - interactive journaling is my favourite. I've made lots of notes of things I want to try in my own journal.
Beautiful journals really love your style 💕
