I have wanted to do one of these for AGES! Have I gotten it done? No :(. I thought I would get one done for my daughter for her bridal shower or wedding but nope - didn't get it done then either. Definitely on my to do list. My girls would want the recipes and my granddaughters need to know the stories.

hi lisa! if u havent had an idea already, for the trip with the dark memories id suggest using the travel day to just dump all of the negative memories onto- u could hide it with hidden journalling so u dont see it every time u flip through

I know just what you mean about loads of unfinished journals, me too.😊. This is the first year that I have made and used a daily journal for all twelve months! Woot! Woot! I am trying to figure out where my journals go for next year. I want to get a Selphi printer because this year I didn't add pictures because I don't have a printer. What is the worst part of your Selphi? I need to figure it out. Your journal is really cute. We have no tree up yet. I love your voice. God bless.

I have two A4 wallets and two A5 wallets for my scraps and papers. I have a shoebox for flyers/memorabilia. I never go over this amount. When new things come in, I use old things. The area I have allotted to my crafting is based on how much I know I can get through a year. I also keep random items on my desk - normally gift tags, greeting cards, packaging with a rule to "process" them within two weeks ("process" meaning cut/rip/fold to size and add them to my folders or put in recycling.)

Lisa wow it almost feels like me talking… I also like to keep everything!!!and the enjoy creating with scraps too….: in fact when I make tags with scraps I have difficulty parting with them….. oh dear ! The chaos and yes they must be close at hand and if they are a little mixed it’s even better…

Great video and I’m the same I have WAY more than I can ever use and more coming in than going out… I always think I will use it … and I am the same … if I don’t see it I won’t use it which means I like things out and around me …. Great video friend ! 🤗

I love this so much. When my mom passed away, and when my grandma passed away, we made cookbooks of all the recipes with some of them still being in their own handwriting. This year for Christmas a dear friend has passed away, and I am making cookbooks with some of her recipes for all my friends.

I was lucky enough to get some beautiful planners (Webster’s Pages)from my local Tuesday Morning in clearance before it closed down and have been loving using them as journals. I have been working on a bright and cheerful one just like yours. 😊

This reminds me of the gift I did for my brothers wedding. I had custom cutting boards made with our opa’s dish and our grandmother apple pie recipes! It really is special those recipes!

Lovely collection of family recipes and memories Lisa. I have created one in an old binder for my boys for when I am no longer here. I have added pics of my boys with their Gran, which they cherish now :) You do need to think about those who are left behind and create for them :)

Yes!!!! I totally understand why this is so important. My mom passed away 2 years ago and her recipe box is such a treasure. Just seeing her handwriting brings me peace and joy.

Loved the flip on the ledger page. I have my scraps in a few baskets that I keep on the top of my trollies one is all the happy mail that I receive and the other is paper scraps or things that I’ve collected from junk mail or family outings to the movies or out for a meal . Sendings hugs xx

I keep my scraps in an extra large zip lock bag. When I get overwhelmed by them I go through them and donate a bunch to my local preschool

I like your idea of using a childrens book to make a journal, i will have to watch your previous videos. I really like how you just put things in and not care i am too particular with this. I have scrapbook storage boxes divided into 3 different subjects. Words and phrases, colors textures and patterns and images. My small scraps are in stacking baskets by sizes and as I go through them if they don’t resonate with me when I do a visual handling anymore I throw them out. I am not the same person I was a year ago when I was intrigued by that little treasure. I also have scrapbook storage boxes with the insides of security envelopes! The patterns on the inside are all so pretty and geometric. My friend went thru her sister in law’s stuff after she died and found security envelopes from her bills from decades ago that are no longer used and are so pretty!

I keep my scraps thrown in A plastic tub. I do need to challenge myself to use my scraps and use what I have instead of buying more. Also need to take more time to craft. Love this video, we all need to find the joy!

I watched the smile journal flip yesterday and with this video you have inspired me to make a new journal for myself. However, I am thinking to make a “leftovers” journal ☺️ a journal made out of the leftover papers and die cuts etc from kits that I didn’t use. Maybe they didn’t fit the project or I just didn’t like them so they’re still in my stash… I am liking that idea 🎉
