Hi scouter stan, I’m a scout from aloha council Hawaii and I’ve been watching your vids for a while. Your vids has enlightened back into rejoining scouts bsa I’ve been going through rough times with scouts but from your videos has inspired me to never give up. I have about 22 months to go for Eagle I’m almost first class and even though my troop let me go for not good reasons I know I still can prove everyone wrong and just show that a scout never gives up.
Glad to have you back in Scouting. Work hard and be an Eagle Scout. Somewhere theirs a Troop for you. Even if it's not perfect you can make a change to your Troop for the betterment of everyone. Your right that a scout should never just give up. Hope to see a new Eagle Scout on the trail. YIS⚜
Hello sir, I know I’m a random scout from a troop far away but I just want to thank you, your videos helped me get to 1st class in only a year and half and you inspired me to start and finish the Ad Altera Dei. As of now I’m begging a new chapter as a den chief for my troop so I thought now was the perfect time to thank you for all of these videos! I hope you don’t stop making them
Thank you for joining us on our channel. I am so glad that you found the videos to be helpful. Please let me know if there's any subject you would like me to cover or if you have any questions. Thank you so much for joining the channel. YIS⚜
@@ScouterStan I don’t know if you have made one of these yet, but I would be super grateful if a video on NYLT (National Youth Leadership Training) could be made. A lot of my fellow scouts are going to it and it seems that my time to go is approaching so any to all information would be super helpful! Thank you so much
I am working on learning more about the software and what to do when it messes up. Also, I will have several instances set up to monitor the upload. With any luck unknowingly losing connection should never happen again. YIS⚜
At one time my father had all the OA flaps as of 1989. So it is possible but you will have to work at getting all the new ones every year to keep it up to date. YIS⚜
Hi Scouter Stan! I'm a new den leader for a cub scout pack with very few scouts and am interested primarily in your opinion on infusing historical scout books, requirements, and achievements with current requirements. Do you think it's appropriate to use (for example) the Wolf Scout book from 1965 along with the current book to work through achievements and introduce new scouts to the history and tradition of scouting? I also like the idea of allowing scouts to earn arrow points or historic patches by completing tasks from the old book. I understand that a lot of the early scouting traditions are frowned upon as culturally insensitive today, (indian culture for example) but I think that these things are beneficial when explained in proper context. Keep up the great work!
I love Scouting history and incorporating it into current-day requirements sounds exciting. As long as the current requirements are not altered or changed I think it would be okay. Having historical contacts is often missing when teaching young people today. Trying to avoid culturally insensitive topics is not telling the whole story. Using the lessons of the past helps handle future issues. Thank you so much for volunteering as a Den Leader. Without your dedication and hard work, your Pack would struggle and suffer. Keep up the good work. YIS⚜
you have a really rare one from my lodge that you flashed in the beginning. that buckskin patch is in high demand in my lodge since its an anniversary one
My inner Gollum would say… “Precious! My Precious? You say?... Me thinks you want me give you my Precious? Me kill many Hobbits to keep Precious safe!” (You got to do the Smeagol voice from the movie…) YIS⚜
