In his opening remarks, he said GTS made it to the Carrera in 2009 on the 997.1, we never saw it in America, I have never seen a picture or example of a 997.1 Carrera GTS. Total GTS run for USA and Canada was (1650) [1500 in US, 150 in Canada] starting November of 2011 as 2012 Models on the 997.2 GTS models. 1st 4GTS was a run of (30) for the 997.2 in November of 2010 labeled as a 2011. Total 4GTS's, as mine, for the (3) year 997.2 run, was USA (271) and Canada (73) with (8) going to South America of which, I have a 6-speed manual coupe (1 of 95). I have the production runs including colors, models, years, production per month, The last (3) 997.2 GTS were built in July of 2012. My 2012 is perfect.
Having owned 5 911's, incl. a Turbo S I have a 718 GTS 4.0 Boxster. It's a proper sports car than the big, heavy looking, 'jack of all trades' over tech'd, grand tourer 992 and better looking cabriolet. With its GT4 naturally aspirated engine (all turbos in regular 911's), legendary handling/rotation, perfect size, weight, and analogue interior it's the modern day petrolheads choice. Of course if you need to scratch the 911 itch you must but for a pure sports cars for threading down B roads the 718 GTS 4.0 is the business. End of an era, snap one up while you still can.
These 992’s are incredible cars. I’m lucky enough to own a Carrera S Manual and its the same color contrast as the video. GT Silver/red top and that’s why the video caught my eye…nicely done video and info!
Just bought one, 991.2 4 GTS with PDCC, Lift and PCCBs Absolutely beautiful car, unfortunately within 4 hours of picking up from independent dealer, the turbos blew. So now searching for a 992.
@mikeread8001 wow! I certainly hope they're taking care of you!!! One reason I'm a cpo only guy. The inspection, guaranteed 50+% brake pad wear, lots of other spects including tires. And of course the 2+ years. Also, that's a way to add coverage on your own to the 10-year pt.

@@jmlark1450 I’m retired.
I just picked up a rear wheel drive Porsche approved 992 S coupe. I absolutely love it.
Is the 4s or GTS a better performer?
My sweetspot was the 2019 991.2 4 gts. No plans to change!

Well done mate! I have a 992 GTS cab and must say that it's a magical, rewarding feat of engineering.
Affordable? 😂 Great film, however.
Intermittent banner....🤨
Ok!👍
Better off buying a T if you can get pasted the convertible part.
Yes of course but only if one can’t afford the GTS
Stoked that my 992 GTS Coupe order has been accepted by Porsche.
