You’re just a nice lad. If my mum ever buys a Syntakt I’ll direct her to your tutorial. Extremely wonderful presence on UA-cam. You should be very proud of your work and impact. Thanks for the tutorial mate
Brother, I was literally just thinking "I wonder how long until Cuckoo drops a Syntakt tutorial" and you dropped it the exact same day my Syntakt showed up at my door. Bless you.
Having never owned an Elektron device before, until just a few days ago, I can say that this thing is the best piece of gear I've ever bought. Im so stoked. Thanks for the tutorial
So much more than a tutorial... this is a master class in how to *think* about crafting the sound you want. Stunning. And thank you so much for letting us hang out and learn!
I come back to this video a lot, because I can watch only 3-4 minutes before getting a burst of inspiration and going off to play my Model:Cycles. So, unlike other reviews that fuel GAS, seeing you playing and exploring has the opposite effect for me and makes me appreciate the technological marvel i have in front of me. And some people dare to call it a toy :)
"I haven't read the manual" - Cuckoo... Meanwhile I've read the manual almost twice and watched a few tutorials and somehow I still managed to learn a ton from this video. You're brilliant as always Cuckoo.
Love your tutorials mate, you are the Bob Ross of Elektron gear. Glad to see you upping the production quality as well. Highlight of the video for me was taking that toy synth sound that I heard in default parameters and said “no way I would touch that” and transforming it into something incredibly pleasing to the ears.
Even as someone who uses the elektron workflow semi-regularly, I love re-discovering shortcuts and techniques that I maybe didn’t fully understand at first. Keep making awesome stuff! ❤️
Massive thanks. The best gear tutorials on UA-cam - have invested in the digi trinity over the last year and these vids have been the foundation of my experience with them. Kudos.
Much gratitude for this video. This was my first Elektron device and didn't know where to start. This was a wonderful tutorial, I would love to see a more advanced and in depth video!
This is the first explanation of this box I've seen that actually makes sense. After watching, it really doesn't seem as "quirky" as some have made it sound. Thanks for this!
Cuckoo, you are not only a fine musician, but an excellent teacher as well. Thank you for giving us this head start on using the Syntakt. It’s helping me a lot! Please do another one.
With the recent price drop and the fact that my Akai MPC just stopped working and they are ignoring me. Drums and more will be created on this. Will be using with Digitone and I think that will work nicely. This is the tutorial video you want to study. Very well done, Mr Cuckoo!
New to Elektron. Lucky enough to pick one of these up yesterday - your tutorial is superb! Has really got me up and running very quickly. Huge thanks 🙏
Everytime Cuckoo makes lazer noises while presenting an instrument, a puppy is born. We need more puppies. Thank you for being such an educator of noise all your tutorials are worth gold. Because whats more valuable than to make fun music.
Would love to see a follow up! 😍 Just unboxed my first Elektron device ever today and never thought I could learn to jam and fiddle around with the Syntakt in one day. A really smooth and fun way to learn. Possible questions to answer in the next video could be how to change the mod buttons 13 to 16 and how to record and undo recorded knob movement and retriggs (if the Syntakt is able to do so) because, I think that is what happened to me unintentionally while following your tutorial. I think I was still in keyboard rec+play mode and forgot to turn it off before tweaking knobs, so everything went surprisingly chaotic 😅
With your tutorial, last year I finally understood the workflow of the Digitone. Thanks² for doing the same today for the Syntakt! You're an electro-benefactor Also, I'm buying your Digitone patch Packs. Cheerio!
If u want to get more control on the sweep & tune of the digital bass drum machine. Use both lfo's, ramp or saw shapes in one or half cycle trigger modes. Use 1 lfo to ramp the pitch of the tune... & use lfo 2 to do something same or similar on the sweep. You will be able to shape kicks with more scope from this tip.
Awesome, Cuckoo, thank you SO much for all your time and knowledge and that you love to share it! 🙏❤️ I‘m brand new to the Elektron world & concepts with my Syntakt and your video helped a lot! Would love to see a part 2 … 🙈🤗
Really loving Syntakt so far , it compliments my Digitakt and Digitone nicely. There’s definitely overlap , but who doesn’t want 8 extra digital tracks and 4 analog ones with all those machines 😀 Interested to see what gets added by future firmware updates , I’m guessing more machines and an arp.
This tutorial is amazingly helpful. I hope that there is a Part II? You are teaching me to love my Syntakt. I am thinking of buying a Digitone next. I want to make CyberPunk & Ambient music.
This was so incredibly valuable! Thanks for taking the time to capture your process in such detail. I would love to see a follow up video. Syntakt seems like a fun machine and a useful tool for getting inspired without overthinking it. Nice job designing your UI overlays too.
Brilliant tutorial Cuckoo! I've been thinking of getting back into making some noise but not really known where to start - I think I have just found the perfect bit of kit in the Syntakt! It looks so incredibly fun to use. Thanks again for the brilliant video, you've got me inspired :)
Amazing work Cuckoo!! I think that I tend to like all the gear you bring to us because of the great work you do with the music and the explanation!! Keep it going!!
What a great video, thanks Cuckoo! I don't even have a Syntakt, nor will I have the money for one for a long time, but I still loved watching this! I'd love to see a follow-up video where you share cheeky tips and tricks to do nice lil hidden features and cool, crazy stuff. Seeing how MIDI and external audio fit in would be rad too. Keep up your amazing work my friend! 🙏🧡
Thank you! I’ve half heartedly been looking for frames for a few years on and off. And then I found this little company called HEADRIX Berlin, and this particular design called Elektra, and fell in love with them. I love this design!
Love those Mega Tutorials! They may not be the most structured ones but they are so super useful from a beginners perspective to learn some very useful tricks early on and always in a fun way. Love it. And I don't even have a Syntakt (yet)... ;-)
@cuckoo // at 1:10:10 - just hit Function + Yes to temp save that way you can jam with both hands.. then Function + No to go back to what you had originally temporarily saved :)
I'd really love a look at sound design with all the machines. Making specific patches, and how to create specific sounds. Chord machine would be a good one to target.
I have an Elektron Analog 4, Machinedrum MK2 and Syntakt. I am considering getting a Digitone as well and maybe an Octatrack when I can afford one. I wonder what Elektron will release in 2023?
Man, your coffee is getting cold! ;) Funny mix of low-tech with the round mirror instead of a circular composite insert with your face... and the high-tech music gear :)
Great tutorial man! I'm already very familiar with the Syntakt but I still love watching these 🙂 and never know what new thing you'll learn! One thing that you probably know but just in case, during the FX filter part you filled the sequencer with trigs when testing the filter, and with the envelope set long on some of the filter settings you couldn't even hear the filter because the envelope would reset every trig. The filter and overdrive and such work even without any sequencing at all, as basically a master filter you can route everything through (if not using it as a rhythm thing). Anyway sorry again I'm sure you knew that, but this can be for someone else if they misunderstood! Thanks so much for making these great videos!
Great vid. Although - am I the only one who's disappointed that there aren't more "clap" machines? I could do without some of the snares. Some of them sound good, but I'd really rather have a few different clap machines to choose from. Although I suppose with the filter/amp sections, I could sculpt the one clap machine in enough different ways to have some variation. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
You’re just a nice lad. If my mum ever buys a Syntakt I’ll direct her to your tutorial. Extremely wonderful presence on UA-cam. You should be very proud of your work and impact. Thanks for the tutorial mate
These types of videos are the reason for UA-cam

Guess that's why he calls it "Mega"-Tutorial!

this is simply the best. amazing visuals and zooms, keying out the screen background looks great

i'd be interested in a follow-up video 🌞

Great patience for someone who knows so much, especially sound design. He really knows how to make music with elektron.
Yes, finally someone actually knows how to teach! Good job...
Love ya work cuckoo, and thankyou so much you've helped advance my syntakt usage expanetionally, and yes I would love a follow up video to this 100%😁
Thanks!

Dude, you have the best Chi. just fun to watch and super informative.
Just bought a Syntakt and this video was an incredible overview of the device. Thank you
Hands down best tutorial for this device I have seen. It's actually making sense to me now. THANKS!!!
Glad you found it helpful, friend!
thank you so much for all the infos included in this video... I just had my Syntakt yesterday and I am enjoying it 100%
Thank you. I like these tutorials that help figure out the intricacies of these devices.
Elektron has just released today a new update of OS, including a great Song Mode !
This is awesome! Looking forward to the second one. Thanks a lot!
I absolutely love your sound efx of introducing equipment! Lol ✌🧡👍
Really loved your tutorial Cuckoo, I’ve just bought a Syntakt and this taught me some very handy skills 🙌🔉
Timelining back here to learn about the Syntakt I just received. Cuckoo is a fun and patient teacher :-)
Best seller for Elektron gear.
Damn I love this bassline! This is probably my 2nd favorite groove box of all time!
Def an MPC
This really clarified a lot about the electron workflow for me. Thanks!
Great walkthrough Cuckoo. Really helped me understand more how the Syntakt works. Thank you for sharing.
Wonderful tutorial Cuckoo. I’m considering dropping a grand on one of these and you are massaging my apprehensions away. Ooh, that feels good 😊
I've watched every tutorial so far. This one is the best one. I need many many more of these from you for the Syntakt, please :)
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Awesome tutorial, thank you! Especially the pace is exactly mine! I'd really appreciate a second session.
This is easily the best tutorial I've seen, thank you very much for creating this!
With your tutorial, last year I finally understood the workflow of the Digitone. Thanks² for doing the same today for the Syntakt! You're an electro-benefactor Also, I'm buying your Digitone patch Packs. Cheerio!
Really enjoyable and clear - love the way you build up a track and integrate the sounds - learned loads of tips on electron workflow in general too!
Thanks! Glad to hear that.
Syntakt arrived yesterday. Your video has proven invaluable in the first tinkerings. Many thanks🙏
Doing this tutorial now. So much joy!!!

Megatutorials are my fave Cuckoo content 🌟
Thanks for the beginner video. Waiting for level 2 intermediate class.
Awesome, Cuckoo, thank you SO much for all your time and knowledge and that you love to share it! 🙏❤️ I‘m brand new to the Elektron world & concepts with my Syntakt and your video helped a lot! Would love to see a part 2 … 🙈🤗
Thanks Cuckoo. This is cool; an in-depth view so I can figure out if this workflow will suit me.
That last track is super cool. Jet Set Radio Vibes ;)
Haha, thanks! That game was really special!
This is extremely informal. Not only about the elektron yada yada
Thank you Cuckoo, I love the video! Though I’m really concerned your hot cup of tea or coffee has gone cold, I think you got distracted teaching ❤
This tutorial is amazingly helpful. I hope that there is a Part II? You are teaching me to love my Syntakt. I am thinking of buying a Digitone next. I want to make CyberPunk & Ambient music.

We need a part 2
Thanks for your amazing movie.
It’s helped a lot to understand what can I do before to buy the Syntakt !!
Can’t wait to explore it
I sold my Deluge to pre-order this. The main reason for me was simply the screen with better feedback - and the Overbridge software.
Supreme as always ! You are the best
thank you, very helpful. if you added youtube-chapters to the video, that would be also great. but anyway, thank you for the work
Brilliant tutorial Cuckoo! I've been thinking of getting back into making some noise but not really known where to start - I think I have just found the perfect bit of kit in the Syntakt! It looks so incredibly fun to use. Thanks again for the brilliant video, you've got me inspired :)
Was wondering when this would pop up! Here it is. Now we can properly learn this machine 🙌
Really well explained so far. This video is going to sell so many Syntakts (Syntakti?)
I loved this dude, The whole thing.
Learned lots, your vibe is very subliminal.
Stay cool Cuckoo and thank you for your inspiration 😎
You're da coolest teacher in da world !!!😎

I don't know who helped you pick a pair of frames but those glasses perfectly compliment your face and personality! (and that's a good thing)
Thank you! I’ve half heartedly been looking for frames for a few years on and off. And then I found this little company called HEADRIX Berlin, and this particular design called Elektra, and fell in love with them. I love this design!
Thanks a lot! Looking forward for a Part II
Amazing, it would be great if you do another one going deeper, specially the modifiers!!!!

Love this. Your videos are always innovative and interesting. A follow up vid would be amazing!
Here is one: ua-cam.com/video/_5TH7kfBgnA/v-deo.html
i love how you used technology to show the display bigger but used a literal mirror for your face cam.
Love those Mega Tutorials! They may not be the most structured ones but they are so super useful from a beginners perspective to learn some very useful tricks early on and always in a fun way. Love it. And I don't even have a Syntakt (yet)... ;-)

You are the best of the best teachers!
Thank you mate :) Trying to do learn something every day with my Syntakt. This is really helping out!
You are a natural teacher! Thank you for the high quality content! ❤
My Syntakt should arrive next week 🤞
I have an Elektron Analog 4, Machinedrum MK2 and Syntakt. I am considering getting a Digitone as well and maybe an Octatrack when I can afford one. I wonder what Elektron will release in 2023?
the FX routing / track, the analogue filter and external input would be an advantage in performing, over the digitakt
Great tutorial ! My Syntakt arrives in 2 weeks !
Super travail ! Super attitude ! Immense merci 🙏
i like the drive effect here. digitakt's bit crusher is sometimes ok but really often not the best.
YES! I’ve been waiting for this! And I don’t even own one!
very educative! waiting the second episode ;)
Pls do a follow up video i love this
Man, your coffee is getting cold! ;) Funny mix of low-tech with the round mirror instead of a circular composite insert with your face... and the high-tech music gear :)
Great work as ever TC .

does anyone else feel like Cuckoo should be the next Mister Rogers? I just think kids would respond really well to him.
Yes!
Love the syntakt and really liked this video! Would really love to see a follow up video!!!!
Chill vibe, thank you sir. I like your sound effects too! 😅
Super tuto, tu vas lentement donc on à bien le temps de tout comprendre. Merci !
