- In todays Bedrock Guide episode, we focus in on the Crafter! Here I go over the basics of how it works. We will be installing this in my Iron Farm, and using it to both make iron ingots into iron blocks, but also to make poppies into bone blocks! The crafter may just be my favorite thing added to Minecraft in years!
Minecraft Bedrock Guide 1.21 is a Guide based Lets Play series. In this world I progress through the game, and will guide you on everything from the basics of gameplay, up through more difficult to understand game mechanics and Redstone! I encourage anyone that wants, to play along with me using the same seed number listed below!

This is literally the first video ive ever seen someone explain what the comparator does i had no idea lol i love how you explain how stuff works and why we need it, im never gonna be some expert redstoner but after playing minecraft for years its nice to learn stuff instead of just having someone say put a comparator here!
Same. It's nice to have things explained.
You can technically have 5 different inputs if the crafter is pointing down into a barrel, and the barrel is what is powered to activate the crafter.
You can only have 3-4 hopper inputs. You need to save one side for a red stone input and a side for the item output. The last side can eithef be the 4th hopper or a compare reading the auto crafter
@@stevescheidjr4632that is mostly true unless you are powering the barrel from the bottom and are trying to make a butt ton of rabbits stew but to do so fully automatic would be hard if you won't to do redstone
Neat. Now I need to watch it a few more times to memorize it. Looking forward to the item sorter episode.
(Also it was kinda funny when stream [including me. My bad.] blamed BluJay for the appearance of nuggets and pressure plates in the system before you realized you needed to put the repeater on the 2-tick delay...😅).
AWESOME. Just finishing up my iron farm sorting system and will definitely add this into it. Thanks Prowl, love your work. Many more episodes and streams to come, hopefully.
I LOVE this series!!!! The daily streams are also really fun and also becoming a habit to switch on while I'm doing other things...... yes, I lurk on the streams 😂 It's also really interesting to actually see the crafter being set up and running.... even when it's doing something strange that needs to be fixed 😂 Thanks for all the great content, Prowl 😊👍👍👍👍👍
One of the best episodes yet I’ve wanted to add a crafter and composter to my farm since the update
Enjoy!
THANK you for explaining the basic setup for autocrafter in a very logical way. Java playere here btw but I still watch your videos for quality
Oh it's a relief to me that you have overflow before the trash can. 😂
ALWAYS!
16:27 if you slow down the items in the hopper line then you will not have any skipped (lost) items. In order to do it you have a comparator reading a hopper in the line that powers a block to a redstone dust to a repeater that stops the hopper right before the comparator hopper.
■~ block and dust

^^ filters
Amanchoo does this in his bedrock videos, so you can look it up.
Finally I can use the crafter in my iron farms and gold farm! Thanks Prowl!
Have fun!
Wow , your video is exactly what I needed, Thank you so much !! @15:30
There are number ways to generate a signal of 8 or 9 into the side of the comparator. Many are cheaper than the second auto crafter. I usually read a full composter to get a signal of 8. I have also used cake or a rotated item in an item frame.
But none are more simple than the crafter. Make a crafter, click the number of slots you are using for crafting, and done! Plus, it's not really that expensive, couple pieces of iron, redstone, and some cobble/planks. All easy to get materials that everyone should have large supply of from day 1.
@@Prowl8413and it's not a job block like composter
Full composer gives off a single of 9 too. But I'm replacing it with your method.
Remove the nitwit and replace it with a farmer. That way when you reroll villagers the farmer will be linked wth the composter
Not a bad idea, I'd have to move the place it's held over to that area so he actually stays linked.
Thanks for all the tips. It will help me as I make more improvements to my iron farm. Can now finally have a use for all them flowers. LOL
Glad to help!
You the man, Prowl
I posted comment on your iron farm vid that was supposed to be a comment for this one.....just trying to clear up any confusion..lol
Let’s goooo loving this series
Thanks!
look what we have here episode one here i come
Enjoy!
A full composter is a cheap alternative to a “full” crafter for getting a signal strength of 9 for your crafter
I think composter gives out 8 so you need to put comparator reading from the crafter in substract mode.
Then you gotta worry about villagers linking to it. Crafter universally is just good to use, easy to select your output by matching your main crafters locked slots
Hello Mister ! Thanks you a lot for your redstone lesson of the day =p . You helped me à lot. See you a next time for futures
i like your videos please keep going!
More to come!
I threw a hopper under my iron crafter into a small chest. That way I always have a small chest full of iron ingots to quickly grab from. Once the small chest and hopper is filled then the crafter will begin compressing.
Nice little trick. I like it!
Use the iron farm water basin to dispose of raids
What is the pack/mod u are using for Freecam/spectator???
Also me want to know
Great explanation, as always!
Why not trap a villager close to the filter composter (@17:10) so this work station is claimed?
I was just looking at my line of chests connected to my iron farm thinking what if i add an auto crafter. Took me days and some sacrifices to the minecraft gods to link my villagers and keep them that way so I'm cautious on adding the composter anywhere near my farm but definitely adding the iron blocker. 😅
You can use another crafter with all nine slots activated instead of a composter. You just need an item with a signal strength of 9 to compare with. 😊
@happyfacecandle1730 she means for converting poppies into bone blocks.
You can replace crafter with Furness with a shovel and 46 sticks
8:56 diorite among us
I’m literally coming up with an iron farm right now lol!
Lets gooo!
Prowl, if you check the realms stories for the add-on realm, you'll see a much more simplified way to do an iron block auto crafter with only 1 comparator, and 1 repeater.
This is not a good way to do it, if you unload the chunks, or anything happens that gets more than 1 iron per slot in the crafter, the system will completely stop crafting iron blocks.
The way I did it here cannot break under any conditions.
@@Prowl8413 That hasn't been my experience with testing. However, I don't play as much as you. so I haven't had as much time for something to go wrong naturally.
let’s go!
idk if this would work but you may be able to have a dropper send items into the crafter from the bottom
It would probably work, but haven't tried myself.
Let's goooooo!!!!!!!!!!
Something I don’t think was covered. But if we add in that extra composter, does that mean you would need to destroy one of your other composters linked to the villagers? I don’t want to mess up the iron farm. Or could I just trap a villager in that room forever to avoid the issue? Thanks in advance
Also I almost forgot! I’m not sure if anybody plays on realms or not, but I made this exact same iron farm and leave my Xbox on overnight while everyone else is off but I seem to only get an average of 8 stacks of iron ingots which is = 512. Is this a good rate of iron or should it be producing a little more? We already have 2 double chests full of iron and have already used PLENTY that’s been produced but just curious if anyone else feels as though it works a little slower than intended for the golems to spawn.
ANY HELP IS MUCH APPRECIATED. Thanks guys 🙏
i build this but the poppy not going into it
which mod pack do you use and how can i install it?
so i built this farm & i have a question. my farm only works during the day is that normal? or is it doing it to anyone else ?
Day 1 of requesting a new gold farm
i cringe when you use diamond as filler
I cringe when little kids use the word cringe
It makes your farms faster!
