- In this video, Dr.Raghu explains the process of Phototransduction in photoreceptors(Rods & Cones)
Rhodopsin (visual purple) present in rods, on exposure to light undergoes a cascade of reactions leading to conversion of light energy into electrical signals, which are ultimately transferred to visual cortex via optic nerve.
