From Hong Kong! Is everything fine in Tokyo? Heading to Tokyo soon but a bit worried about the Nankai Trough alert and Typhoon... Any water supply / resource / transport delay issues in Tokyo?
I feel you guys have outdone yourself! Despite the heat! Every sight, image and scene, sound and music… even the sound of the wind and traffic… it’s like watching a movie! Thank you!
The only real joy of Mondays is getting into one of your videos. Re-watched it again this morning (Tuesday) at work, just for the vibes. Thank you for the beautiful shots. Always a good time.
Honestly you guys are a gem. When I visited Japan I went to Sushi Ryuta and Swamp coffee you suggested and they were amazing. Ryuta said you actually brought in about 70% of their customers and about 2 other couples were there because of your recommendation. I went on a perfect days toilet hunt on my trip, so I’m super happy Victor showed us the rest!
Absolutely loving this week vlog in particular the "Perfect Day" segment. Adding this place in my bucket list. Thanks so much for sharing. Have a good week ahead.
With much nostalgia from the last time I visited the whole time I was like they will go to the Fuglen on the corner, the one that was so warming on a rainy day!!... How crazy and accurate is the depiction of Tokyo in Perfect days, and I dare to say you guys sensitivity to capturing every detail is right there with the feeling the movie captures. I hope you keep enjoying Tokyo as much as we enjoy your videos.
Hahahaha, it seems Victor has truly fallen in love with Perfect Days. The location hunting is much appreciated! Surprisingly, looking at those cinematic moments in real life doesn’t necessarily bring me closer to the character but deepens my understanding of the serenity he's found within himself. It's a quiet reminder of the power in embracing one's own peace. I've been watching your videos, and I really love the way you guys tell the story. Always wondering how could you guys achieve some of the camera angle ☺☺
I work in a hospital and today I met a couple one of whom was my patient. They’re from Hong Kong but moved to the U.K. because of the political situation. I told them how your videos have made me fall in love with many parts of Asia and told them to watch your videos if they feel homesick, they were so happy to get such a recommendation. I also told them I’m going to Japan this October and they said they go there all the time too! Which is just as well as you probably have more Japan videos than Hong Kong haha. Your videos are art and they’re such such joy, thank you for making them!
From a Perfect Days lover to another one, THANK YOU!!! ☺️ This was such a gift! I could feel your joy and reverence in each place. Oh I’m loving your summer I’m Japan✨!
I really love watching your UA-cam, especially Japan version since I can tell that you guys are really enjoying Tokyo!! thank you for coming to Japan so often!! And also, even though I am living at the center of Tokyo, you show me lots of places where I have never been, which makes me feel like trying somewhere new by myself. looking forward to the new vlog! last but not least, Vic's strolling for movie location was hilarious^^
I just discovered your vlog this evening. I find them interesting. When you said your favorite movie is “PERFECT DAYS”. I stopped watching your vlog, searched google and watched it. All I can say is THANK YOU! I enjoyed it very very much. Now I’ll finish watching your vlog😊
Asakusa is a tourist destination that flourished after the war, and the old streets still remain, making it a place of nostalgia. It is a place where Japanese comedians, such as "rakugo" and "manzai," are active, and "Kitano Takeshi," who became a film director, also worked as a comedian in Asakusa.
This reminds me of my trip to Tokyo around this time last year, every nook and cranny. Can’t wait to come back next spring and check out all of the spots you guys recommended.
I just discovered your channel and I love your travel content and cinematography so much. I feel nostalgic whenever I watch your videos and it makes me missing Japan so much but also brings me so much joy and calmness ❤
Que hermoso, sobre todo dentro de esas callecitas donde abrimos sus puertas discretas y encontramos maravillas, rústicas (cafeterías tradicionales, antigüedades y ropa). Maravilloso
I'm working for automotive industry in Germany, right now most of the German are having summer vacation, mean while I'm seating front of my PC, just want to have luxury 30mins peaceful time, without think of coming up lay off employees and inflation..... love your JP vlogs.
Nothing soothes my soul than your vlogs. Hopefully, I'll be able to one day visit all these amazing locales with my wife and kids. Thank you for all that you do for us!
13:57 So now you're investing in paid actors, good for you! 😂 Jokes aside, I have your Japan playlist on loop -- love your Hong Kong vlogs too, but Japan has a special pull on me. Someone else commented that your videos help to balance their nervous system, and that's true for me too. Must be your music choice (very aligned with my tastes as well), your visuals (aesthetic, fun, warm, playful, creative) and just the general easy vibe of the two of you and how natural you are on camera. They're always fun to watch but they also help a lot when I get uneasy. Can't thank you enough. Enjoy the rest of the summer!
I hope to visit Japan one day, I'm loving all your videos, you guys really know how to capture great shots, very nicely done! Nice music and editing as well. super impressed!
It always astounds me how your camera always manages to get in your mailboxes, hotels and apartments before you guys do to record your reactions! Heehee
Thank you for all your videos, especially the vlogs of Japan ❤ Your channel really keeps me going and could be the one thing that makes me smile during some days 😊. Even my husband gets jealous of me following you guys and binge watching all your videos😅
This was such a cosy video. I've been to Asakusa twice but never visited the other streets which I know I should be doing! Also, I didn't know Perfect days was also shot in Asakusa! So great to see the same locations as in the film. Thank you for that :)
Japanese living in Tokyo here. I am so sad you missed the Royal Café in Asakusa! 😭 Their Kamakura rare cheesecake is insanely good! 🍰 always perfect with hot tea and have to restrain myself from ordering a second or third serving 😂 Love your videos and hope you’re keeping hydrated! 🤍❤️🤍
I first came across your vlog of Okinawa last month when i was headed there. Now, thank you so much for your continuous uploads of Tokyo, im bringing my family over in November and the vlogs are sure helpful. Plus points for always being so aesthetic!
🫶 this ep Sam & Victor. Perfect Days segment was a treat… I might have got teary (!!!) - so cool to visit those places from a movie that means so much! In Sydney- but there again soon. Will watch this vid again. Such a vibe. Happy Tokyo-ing x
Thank you very much for your hardworking during crazy hot Summer. That's my habit to watch your fascinating videos each week. Keep up your good work❤❤ Regards from Hong Kong✨️
I’m from Perth Western Australia. Love your Vlogs. My coffee obsession is increasing because of Victor! I just came back from my second trip to Japan. Both times I stayed in Asakusa . I love it. Everyone says it’s too far out but the Ginza line is right there, the river is right there. We took the Space X up to Nikko, it’s right there! It’s has a homely neighbourhood vibe after the crowds go home. I love to know the weave apartment details as I am looking for an apartment stay next time. Looks like a great find. I’m just wishing I could have stayed longer.
To be honest I thought that too (about the distance from asakusa - shibuya/shinjuku) but there was already so much to do in asakusa we didn’t even take the train much this week! Weave living is the apartment we stayed at- there’s no service and minimum is 1 month rental 🙏🏻
just wanna say hi:) i discovered your channel lately, just right before i traveled to Tokyo. i gotta say your videos are soooooo goooood love the whoe vibes and the way you edit is like watching a movie, or a local city discovery channel💌

Good evening. Asakusa is close to my home, so I feel a sense of closeness knowing that Sam and Victor are in Asakusa. I sometimes go to Asakusa because my ancestors are enshrined in the Five-Storied Pagoda, and I can climb to the top floor of the pagoda and enjoy a beautiful view.😊
I've lived in Japan and toured Japan a ton of times but never knew Asakusa has a lot of charming hidden streets. Thank you for sharing these! We're going back again soon, and wasn't supposed to come to Asakusa anymore but wow I gotta change our itinerary again. lol
