I will also have a video of walking Ajijic Malecon, and a video of driving to Ajijic from Guadalajara. I still have many other videos from my previous countries to edit and upload. I will also have many more videos around Mexico. También tendré un video de Walking Ajijic Malecon y un video de conducción a Ajijic desde Guadalajara. Todavía tengo muchos otros videos de mis países anteriores para editar y cargar. También tendré muchos videos más en México.
I found this walk around to be very helpful.. Often UA-cam videos are made in the Centro where all the action is at. But the length of walk required to start seeing rougher parts of towns is an important metric.
Wow amazing video...can't believe more people aren't commenting here. Lake Chapala is extremely popular with US retired and expats. I know about 12 people who retired there in my small community.
I was there Jan 2018. Nice memories. During my travels there, I have eaten at most of the restaurants that you walked passed. All the food is wonderful. Should have gone to Mescala for boat tour to Isla Mescala.
really cool vid!. i visited rio de chapala in 90'... my father took my fam. and i to his home land Los Reyes michoacan. there is a very famous singer buried there by the name of, Jose alfredo jimenez. beautiful town then...and now.
dude you know what I noticed is when I went to the Walmart in Guadalajara the one closer to down town I saw a lot of beautiful women they just look difrent than California women so much nicer man im not kidding,in mexico there is no such thing as Walmart people like the ones we make fun of here in the states man lol its crazy man.
I lived there in 1975. In frame 10:15, the red coffee house to the right, I think used to be the movie theater where I saw my first Santo movie. I think a lot has changed since 1975. The police station was also located next to the square. I want to go back someday =)
I was talking with my son about moving down there. He began rambling on about the gangs throughout the country. He said, "If anyone even thinks you have money, you could get robbed." Then he went on to talk about the need to know the language before going. I took it with a grain of salt since he is 30 and fears more things than I do. I may go for a visit and see what it's like and then decide.
A lot of people have fear of a whole country, but most areas are quite safe and normal. Europeans might think it is too dangerous in the US because of what they see about Chicago, Detroit, NYC or the Los Angeles area. But there are lots of normal and safe areas in the US. The same goes for Mexico. The area is very well known for having lots of older foreigners retiring here.
You won't be conscious of that type of mentality. You don't have that at all. I was 31 when I moved there with my mother due to her health. One man teased one day at the market about "I have the marijuana" but he was joking the white kid(me) that day. NO ONE offered myself or the other younger ones anything in the years we were there; not even weed. We noticed some children emulating the conduct on movies so that disappointed us but it is a very nice, calm, peaceful area. Near the lake I went to a beautiful town, Mazamitla, which is in high elevation with pine trees and the like - if you saw my film you'd never believe it Mexico. I would return in a second.
+James Colosio I was walking around a town called San Miguel De Los Lagos today. I couldn't believe how many good looking women there are here. I'm going to walk around and video here tomorrow.
My first experience with Mexican people was with a family at my church many years ago, strong family and friendly to everyone. I have been to PV many times and I have had good experiences, I stay downtown and many Mexicans also stay there, again good experiences. I wish more people would take the time to see the real Mexico and her people.
Women in Jalisco are the most beautiful! Feminine, lady like, faithful, natural (no plastic surgery like some south American countries). In conclusion just the best! One of mexico's hidden treasures.
That town seems really nice. I wish you'd show more of the signs and architecture (besides the church), it's hard to see out of the corner of the lens. You walk too fast to enjoy it sometimes.
Based on your video I can have a pretty good idea of the town, many thanks for sharing! Looking forward to go and visit Ajijic soon. Looking for some videos of Chapala as well...✨
youtube recommended your video to me and since my parents are from Tizapan el Alto i clicked to see your video.. never in a million years would i have thought that i would see my uncle... my dads older brother in the first few seconds of the video!! it was a crazy and cool experience lol... i think they might have been selling Birria?
Hi Richard, thanks for the video. I retired in Jan 2015, been doing lots and lots of traveling, 2016, 2017, 2018 and then my final big cruises in 2019, So I think I’ll be renting a apartment over there in 2020, but I’ll start to look in 2019. I have other videos on the sesame city. Thanks see you in 2020.
Lollipop Sucker racist people feel entitled that’s why... there was a case not so long ago of a racist Russian in Mexico, he got his ass beat look it up... so yes racist people can visit Mexico too
Derian Luis yes I’ve heard of him which was last year that happened, but That NeoNazi Russian guy was a crackhead 🙄 he was a drug addicted. But that doesn’t mean all gringos are like that in Mexico. Here in Jalisco most of the gringos are nice to us and we got a lot of them in our neighborhood and we all get along.
is a nice veido actually but we want u to make a viedo in Guadalajara city i heard is second biggest city in mexico i hope we shall see viedos from there
+saidissa said Hello. I made videos of Guadalajara last year. Search in my videos. It should be about June 2017. I will make more videos on this trip also. I will have a lot more videos in cities that very noticed. Today I am in San Juan de Los Lagos. Tomorrow I will be in Aguascalientes. Then I will go to San Luis Potosí, Guanajuato, San Miguel Allende, Andrés several more cities. But I will only out out a video every 2 or 2 days.
I live Ajijic as an ex pat. I agree it is a beautiful delightful and a nice place to live. Compared to the United States, yes it is cost-effective. However, so many people are moving here so fast that the cost of living has gone up 33% in just a couple of years. I am impoverished senior Who worked for 40 years, but like many people, strange circumstances left me broke. I live here nicely. But so many people are coming on a daily basis that I am having to find another place to live because the cost of living is more than what I have. There are many Canadians here, who appear to be a little better then the Americans because they are here six months and often are in their second home. The Americans here are usually looking for a leaner cost of living. This beautiful village is rapidly becoming a place for gringos who have money. As I thought I had found a place to be, I have to leave and find a place where there aren't as many expats and where the cost of living is lower. Poverty is profound with the Mexicans. Flaunting your $2 million house on the hill is in poor taste. Beggars are everywhere and every day, a couple of dozen a day. Unless you are are generous enough to share, stay home. This village is being run over.
Guadalara is a nice kept colored place! My father side of the family came from Spain to Mexico and moved throughout the country from southern to Guadalajara and now north west mexico "T.j.".n Maybe the food could be what you wanted to have made original or by the people's..!
Trip on THIS ! Yes it is in most areas, the lake is huge so there are many towns you can go to reach the lake.... You can swim, rent boats etc..... I've only been to ocotlan jalisco but would honestly visit ajijic
Yes you can swim in it. There's a beach out in Ajijic. It's not but like some Florida beaches - nothing special. Sometimes they have LIRIO which is a water lily like thing that can "invade" a portion of the lake and it's just all green with the stuff. No one understood putting manatees in there so that did not work as a natural control. The one neighbor had a ski boat and he loved it out there because there weren't too many people around and the water was free of debris. He had all the Jet-Doo's and the like. Largest fresh water lake in Mexico. But there were no industries down there to pollute the water and lake. It's pretty laid back. The beach area is popular on the weekends.
I am thinking on moving to Mexico but I would have to take my job with me and my job requires fast and reliable WIFI internet 5 days per week 8 hours per day. Is this possible??
