I just ordered a 17.1 classic for $508 shipped I'll get it cut for a RMR I don't own a 17 and what better way to get the taste out my mouth than with this old school new ass gun?
Those are true Gen 4 magazines. I have a Glock Pistola 80 the first rendition of Glock 17 from Lypseys . Also the original boxes had studs for 17 rounds of ammo. Cool that Glock brought back this rendition of the original OG Glock 17 Gen 1. I turned 21 in 1991 and only saw Generation 2 Glocks 17, 19, 17L, & 26 until Gen 3 came out early 2000s. Nice 17 and unboxing.
I just got a Glock 17 Gen 4 police trade in for $300. Literally only the handle has wear and tear. Everything is mint even the factory Glock night sights are still bright.
You can see the internals are not like the original Gen 1 guns. Also looks like they have a bend on the trigger gaurd molded in the case to keep the gun from sliding forward so it doesn't need the 2 stoppers used on the earlier gun cases. Wonder why they brought back this Gen 1 style gun? The Gen 5 is better in everyway. I have a nice early model Gen 2 which was made in July of 1989.
I have a friend that wants me to buy his 1989 Gen 2 in mint condition. He bought it new for home security and hasn't fired it much. He said maybe a 100 rounds total. It has 2 clips, the paperwork, & the case it came in. What is a reasonable price for one? It looks brand new. Thanks
There are no mechanical differences as far as I'm aware. They just engraved them differently. The original P80s and Glock 17 Gen 1s do have mechanical differences though compared to the reproductions.
The new P80 and this Gen 1 classic are just cool to own.

I like the gen 4 -5 front sight so much easier to change 😊and gen1 classic has the feature as well
I’ve shot and owned a lot of Glocks and this is my favorite Glock ever

Its internals belong to GEN3
Your right. Basically a generation 3 upper on a Gen 1 frame . I noticed the slide stop had shark fin like on some early Glocks and flat extractor.

It's honestly just a "close enough" gun. Nothing wrong with it.
Mags are Gen 4's. Black followers.
Those are not Gen 5 mags
Nice pistol though
I’ll be picking one up
The magazines are not gen 5's. Gen
Gen 5 magazines have red followers.

I would look for similar deals on gunbroker's website to see what the going rate is. Keep in mind that gunbroker prices are slightly inflated.
@@rhoadestraininggroupThanks man!
FIVE TO EIGHT HUNDRED
What is the diference between the Glock P80 and 17Gen1 reissue?
