    Another good day's fishing again. Very impressed. I sometimes just watch your hand movements and retrieve to use myself in future . Is nano rig same as split shot rig when you used safety pin ? That big bream must of been camera shy 😁

      @hungryfish7352  3 роки тому

      Thanks. Yes it is the same as the split shot rig,but the weight slides up and down much better and easy.

    Was this very early in the morning? Because I haven't seen a single narrow boat pass by. My local canal is like the M25 with narrow boats at the moment

    using a fly weight is a fantastic idea! is it 4mm tungsten or a bit bigger?

    • @hungryfish7352
      @hungryfish7352  2 роки тому

      It is 4cm tungsten. Together with the camola is killer combination gives it very natural presentation and perch and chub can't resist it 😉

      There is a worm made by Peter Lakov that works perfectly with that weight as well.

    Is there a UK distributor for Yamatoyo? Where did you get the braid?

      From Japan, but not impressed with the quality and will not buy it again.

    You could fish flies like this.

    • @hungryfish7352
      @hungryfish7352  9 місяців тому

      I have not tried it, but I hear it is quite successful using flies for perch or chub.

    I have such a hard time getting bites on a jig when on the Canal I dont know what im doing wrong lol.

      First let's strat with the gear you are using,where do you fish canal or river and depth of the venue you are fishing at, what lures do you use.

      @@hungryfish7352 I do fish both and so it varies. I did go to the canal early this morning before it got hot. I found a nice bridge. Im using a Yagi dam Ultra light amd i was on a 2 inch paddle tail. 1g jig head. I actually managed to land a nice little zander and a perch after copying the way you retrieve. I rhink im slowly learning lol. The depth of the canals i fosh is usually around 3, 4 foot i guess. The rivers i fish are manly knee to waist height.

      @@riverhuntersuk7387 bridges are hot spots for perch and zander,but if the water is very coloured I would keep close to the bank. I would go for long casts not far from the bank on the side on which I fish and will not cast more then two times on one spot in order to cover more water in order to find the fish.
      On the river if it is slow moving water I would go for very very light jigs no more then 0.5 gr. in order to have natural sinking of the soft plastic and I would go for small plastic larva like soft plastics like this one from the link.
      Colour that I recommend you is PA-84/PA-16/CA-35/CA-87DC.
      That is lure that you must have all the time in the bag my favourite is PA-84 black with golden flakes.
      This one is also awesome lure that will catch you lots of fish.

      Number 1/3/5/6 my favourite size is 5cm.
      If you like cranks this are two of the cranks I like that will not brake the bank
