So another villain that literally created a solution for all of humanity's problems, but decided to use it for petty revenge. My favorite type of villain.
I discovered this guy, too, combing through the list of Batman villains they have on Wikipedia. There seems to be a ton of random, one-shot villains from the 50's who could theoretically decimate the rest of his mainstream rogues gallery. Atomic Man is basically Dr. Manhattan, except stupid. Also, I like how the make-up Batman wore just seems to be a penciled-on set of angry eyebrows.
You know The Atomic Man would make for a interning Firestorm villain. He have the same power as Firestorm, he could be like Firestorm evil opposite. Like how Superman have Bizarro and Batman have Wraith/Prometheus.
Ya know what? Make it happen, DC. Put Atomic Man in Firestorm’s rogues gallery. Firestorm doesn’t have too many notable villains anyways besides Killer Frost and maybe Plastique.
While I like this idea, you guys are forgetting that Firestorm already deals with the most powerful villain, Slipknot: Man who Can Climb Anything. But actually, Firestorm has both Tokamak and Deathstorm who act as the reverse Firestorm. Captain Atom would be a far better villain for this, for he only has 4 rogues that are still somewhat known today: General Eiling, Major Force, and then Punch and Jewlee. So giving Captain Atom a fifth rogue would do him some much needed justice to the character.
Atomic Man sound perfect for being a The Atom villain yet fighting anyone who have the power of manipulation of Atoms is highly deadly for anyone to face.
I would love to see this character come back in modern comics with his original backstory still intact. It would be interesting to see how much he's potentially changed overtime. Based on his tendency to hold petty grudges he might want revenge on Batman for catching him.
Correction: Ten-Eyed Man has his eyes on his fingers, although relocating the eyes for 360 degree vision could bump him up from being with Bootface, all the old women the Adam West Batman fought, and other loser rogues to potentially reaching a C or B-lister rogue depending on how serious the play Mr. Reardon.
@@mrpickle1461 I did think about adding a mention that the tech would be incorporated into gauntlets, but I feared that would be overexplaining the joke.

An extremely powerful villain with very petty motives is actually kind of interesting, narratively speaking. It has the potential to turn little private vendettas into absolutely terrifying encounters. I mean, remember that one B:tAS episode - 'Joker's Favor', I think it was - where some poor schmuck gets on the Joker's bad side for cussing him out in traffic, and lives in terror of him for years? Imagine something like that happened with Paul Strobe, and, again, we saw things from the victim's point of view. Let's say a woman turns him down when he tries to pick her up in a bar, and he just grins, like 'you shouldn't have done that'. Suddenly, her life turns to hell - in the middle of the night, her bed turns to glass and shatters beneath her, sending her to the emergency room. Strobe looked in the window, you see. While she's hurrying to work, the sidewalk beneath her feet turns to strawberry jam - briefly - before turning back to concrete again and sealing her feet ankle-deep in it. A crew of workmen have to break her out; she gets in trouble at work, and who'd believe that Strobe was following her that morning? Her clothes turn to cling-wrap - her food turns to mud - her car turns into Jell-O - and all the while, Strobe bides his time for the TRUE revenge. Yeah - there's definitely some scary possibilities in a guy like the Atomic Man.
According to Tom King, fear of commitment. I kid but odd villain. He reminds me of Electro: A super powerful villain with such petty goals that made Magneto upset since he could be a global threat.
Atomic Man would make for a fun Arkham Patient Session. Like give him the same treatment like with Dr. Death. A one time villain who fought Batman only once and never let it go.

I actually discovered this guy a while back and I think he has potential to be one of the best villains in the DC universe. I mean he’s called the Atomic Man. That’s an awesome name. Yeah his powers only work on inanimate objects but that’s because the story was published in the silver age where it’s rare for a comic company to allow someone kill people. I mean they made the Joker a lighthearted goofball in that era. I had actually came up with a revised origin a while back as well: Paul Strobe was a scientist working at Kord Industries that suffered from clinical depression. He feels that all the work he’s done has gone nowhere and that his career and life is worthless. One day Strobe decided to end it all by walking into a radiation chamber that’s testing the effects of a new form of atomic energy. When the other scientists saw Strobe’s body change, they quickly shut down the chamber and pulled the body out only to discover his body is now atomic energy. In an attempt to save him the other scientists put Strobe’s body in a containment suit. When Strobe woke up and learned his body had changed, as well as grant him the power to change the molecular structure in anything (including humans), he goes mad believing he’s got a new purpose in life. He escapes and wrecks havoc on society as The Atomic Man! Also yeah he should fight someone other than Batman. I’m thinking Firestorm, Blue Beetle or Booster Gold.
Ya know what I have an idea of how to reimagine this guy, instead of making googles he makes a 1950’s style futuristic robot he calls “Atomic Man” and many years later it goes haywire attacking Gotham city. It wouldn’t have the human intelligence/motivation to use its powers for anything else than pure destruction. It being haywire & old could also be a way to limit its powers overall
If you did a sequel to "Batman Villains Who Shouldn't Be Batman's Villains", here's my list: Atomic-Man (Batman's villain) - Firestorm, Doom Patrol or Justice League Mr. Hydro - Aquaman Planet Master - Adam Strange, Martian Manhunter, Starman or Green Lantern Savage Skull - The Question or the Huntress The Eraser - Plastic-Man Tiger Shark - Aquaman
If I was writing for DC I would bring him back as a Captain Atom and/or Firestorm Villain, upgrading his Visor into a full power suit, upgrading his eye-based atomic-re-arrangement rays into an atomic-re-arrangement field around him, as well as projection from his eyes and hands.
As Atomic Man exists, he’s rather nonsensical. But he can be reworked, I suppose. You could pit him up against Firestorm, as they have similar powers. These days he could use more villains anyway. Killer Frost is a hero now; Slipknot barely appears at all; Weasel is basically just another member on the Suicide Squad; Mindboggler, Sand Demon, and Tokamak all died pre-Flashpoint and haven’t returned yet; Bug and Byte haven’t appeared post-Flashpoint; Typhoon is currently dead; Naiad hasn’t appeared post-Flashpoint; and Cliff Carmichael has barely appeared at all since the New 52. That leaves only Multiplex, Black Bison, Hyena, and Deathstorm as current recurring villains of Firestorm. Which is a good lineup of rogues, but it could be stronger. Atomic Man could be a cool addition to his current rogues gallery, with some revisions, of course. I’d keep his costume the same, as well as limit his powers to the goggles. Keep the powers the same, but change the backstory and change his goals. World domination is a clichéd for a supervillain, but if you give Atomic Man a unique personality and have him use his powers in interesting ways you could have a good villain. Also, you nearly losing your sanity over the whole ordeal of Batman wearing makeup in anticipation of Atomic Man making his cowl transparent was hilarious. And a little concerning. I fear we’re about to hear on the news that an insane Swedish man is imitating the crimes of Two-Face. But it was mostly funny. Also, that afterthought of mentioning that Atomic Man appeared on Batman: The Brave And The Bold was hilarious, just the fact that you mentioned it just so we wouldn’t. Good video, and thanks for reminding me that this guy existed.
If I had a device that can turn objects into other things, I would take a bunch of rock, garbage, and useless stuff and turn it into gold, pladdium, diamonds, and other precious metals and gemstones to accumulate a massive amount of money/cash and have myself be set for the rest of my life.
I agree he seems more of a Superman villian. But he isn't so unstoppable. He's a regular guy who has to have his hands free to adjust the lenses, his powers only work in the direction he's facing, and last two hours at a go. Sneak up behind him, use knock out gas, and tie his hands behind his back. Or put a bag with a really good lock over his face. Rust the lenses so they can't move. Attach something that will whisk him high into the air for 2 hours 15 minutes.
No, your wrong, the answer it DC former editor-in-chief Dan Didio, he did almost kill the ENTIRE DC Universe with his be-damed universe "reboot" of 2011 after all.

@@Hardlythestuffoflegends4935 It's a decent way to round out an incredibly powerful villain... as long as he's established as dumb or unambitious from the get-go. Kinda like Molecule Man.
Damn this guy legit got the same power as Firestorm, even down to the disability of being incapable of changing organic matter. Honestly, why isn’t he a rogue to Firestorm or Captain Atom now (preferably Captain Atom as Firestorm has a few really underrated rogues, (preferably Captain Atom as Firestorm already has Tokamak as his reverse villain, and while Firestorm’s rogues get wrongfully shat on, Captain Atom has no rogues gallery, outside of Eiling and Major Force).

That thing with the ear recognition reminds me of the Monk tv series.
I have one thing to say for this character, Missed Opportunity
4:17 He could have just applied for a federal science grant...
Bat-Mite
And when the world needed him the most, he vanished
Where are you?
Atomic man deserves to have a movie
Or at least a series
Well yeah
Egg Head of course.
I would have said theoretically Scarecrow weaponwise and Killercroc or Clayface raw strenght wise.
More power than condiment king? I think not. Nice try Mr. Rogues but you can't trick me.
I remember when they had to bring in the Spectre to take him down. A battle so epic it could never be reprinted.
@@CrisisComics it must have been so mindbendingly epic that it gave me mental amnesia.
Given his power is limited by sight, 2 stealth characters are perfect for him.
Everybody knows it’s actually Kite Man.
No, your wrong, the answer it DC former editor-in-chief Dan Didio, he did almost kill the ENTIRE DC Universe with his be-damed universe "reboot" of 2011 after all.
Imagine if this guy appears in the next batman movie
...He's more dangerous than FRIGGING BARBATOS?!
I like Atomic Man I knew him before this he's interesting
Rogues, are you ok?
Dang ... I think Atomic Man drove Mr Rogues crackers
Mr Rogues I have a request can you do a special video on a obscure villain simon hurt nobody talks about him and he is easily the most useful dc batman villain out there and I just don’t want him to be forgotten
2:14 The *awesome* power of extremely tiny hands?
Man would u do exactly this but with spider man villains??
I am really fascinated by The Atomic Man and I’m okay with his petty revenge plan
If he really wanted revenge, he could've gone to their homes and turned the foundation walls into fragile graham crackers. Or turned water into gasoline and cheese wheels into uranium so he could become a multimillionaire and rub it in their faces.
@@CrisisComics I kind of do agree with you, then again he is a powerful villain but he doesn’t have a good revenge plan anyway I’m okay with that
@@Hardlythestuffoflegends4935 It's a decent way to round out an incredibly powerful villain... as long as he's established as dumb or unambitious from the get-go. Kinda like Molecule Man.
@@CrisisComics that’s why I’m okay with this fictional character
Damn this guy legit got the same power as Firestorm, even down to the disability of being incapable of changing organic matter. Honestly, why isn’t he a rogue to Firestorm or Captain Atom now (preferably Captain Atom as Firestorm has a few really underrated rogues, (preferably Captain Atom as Firestorm already has Tokamak as his reverse villain, and while Firestorm’s rogues get wrongfully shat on, Captain Atom has no rogues gallery, outside of Eiling and Major Force).
Any recommendations for Firestorm or Captain Atom comics?
So uhh, he’s a less interesting pre beyonder Molecule man?
Have you done a mercenary top 5 villain list , if not I'll be excited for that video love your content
It is not even the villain that is most powerful. Truly it is the item that is the most powerful thing that Batman has to go against . So this would be Batman's kryptonite.
Batman's kryptonite is dead parents.
Mr. Rogues, I’d love to see you do a video on Blockbuster. To me he is one of Batman’s most sympathetic villains and I’d love to hear your thoughts on him.
This guy have the power to manipulate matter and molecules like a evil firestorm , gee firestorm need to have his own show there ton of firestorm enemies that are so awesome but don’t get the spotlight
It's Baby Doll!
Top 5 deadshot stories?
Yes! Mr rouges is talking about my favourite batman villain besides polka dot man! #Atomicman
Wasted potential. He could've turned Gotham Pier into cardboard, turned the US Constitution into used Kleenex, and THEN maybe get revenge on the three men who sent him up the river. But NO, he wanted to immediately ruin them.
Thought it was Simon Hurt lol
Bat mite: ha

The Sarcasm is strong with this one.
So he's molecule man if molecule man was a petty asshole?
I like this guy.
Mr Ronks at it again
Hey Mr. Rogues! Great video illustrating a very obscure bat-rogue, Video Suggestion: can you make a video on underrated rogue: Lock up in the animated series and him in the comics, it would be great for you to share your personal thoughts on the character.
I think his motivation is fine, I bit samey to a bunch of other powerful villains but I think the reason for not bringing him back is his power is hard to work around
Is everything okay you haven't updated in 3 months
he made a UA-cam community post and posted this link ua-cam.com/users/shortsR3XK8gGMm44 about a month ago.
Anyone know?
@@errantrazor seems were the only ones asking.
Are you alright? Where are you?
Look at Marvel´s Molecule Man, to have a glimpse of what Atomic Man might have been
So he’s the original molecule man, his powers don’t even work on living things like molecule man
Anyone in Mr. Rouges discord server. Do you know what happened?
What happened?

Can you please bring back the batman tas review. I would like mudslide and deep freeze please
Broken promise is a incredible Batman project plus two-face is it
Yeah! I just saw it! Mr rogues would love it! He should do a reaction video for it!
@@widdlewanwon one thing I am surprised about is the joker is finally not in something
@@questionking2340 I'm like that. In my opinion, the joker is overused.
@@widdlewanwon technically he never was used in one other thing have you ever heard of the show beware the Batman in 2013 it’s too bad it only got one season if it was green lit for a season 2 two face would have been in the show and maybe a season 3 the joker would finally make a appearance it just disappointing it had so much potential !
Broken promise a Batman story idea I have is specifically about animal DNA and could also work for killer croc like Batman knowing how to cure croc but then in the end losing the cure To man Bat and uses it on himself and get cured and killer croc would lash out and go insane losing his only chance being human to man bat and try to kill him but soon croc would look at a shard of glass on the ground and be ashamed of himself and just go to the sewer and Batman would let him go and apologize to croc and croc would look at Batman and say it’s ok ✅ mistakes happen and I am ok being a monster you only did what was right but you tried and then croc would hug Batman and give him a piece of scales to remember him by and also trying to cure him !!! And it would end with Croc looking at the moon and asking what would Gotham be like if you were never here Batman ? And then smile And that’s how it would end
Mr Rogers can you do a video on the dragon king or Brianwave
Who would wear makeup under a mask? Well, let me introduce you to Amon from Legend of Korra ...
or let me introduce you to the new batman movie
If anyone is a artist. Could you do batman rogues gallery with like their best outfits. And two face is green not red bc i like how it kind of looks like the joker as joker obsession with batman and harvey was actually rumored to be batman. Its like joker and batman are working together
Who was first this guy or the molecule man?
Atomic Man was made 3 years before Molecule Man, so this guy was first.
When are you gonna make a new video ?
Batman molecule man!
Naww...everyone knows the true most powerful enemy Batman has ever faced is Rock n' Roll!
While he may be the most powerful, he isn't the most successful:
There is only one Batman villain that I can think of that remains undefeated against Batman. The Crimesmith.
