I still remember going with my dad to see Everton against Villa, up to that point I never really took that much of an interest in football, was bored most of game, only to see him leap like a Salmon from the corner to head home the game winner, sprinting to the corner flag and showing it as much mercy as Floyd Mayweather would his wife, the day I fell in love with football.
Being an Australian, an Everton fan and also having a Liverpool fan as a brother that I really wanted to annoy way back in 2004, Tim Cahill is unsurprisingly my favourite player.
10:48 - This is how good he was at heading. He only had a few milliseconds to react to a ball that was smashed at him at knee height from less than 10 meters away. Puts it away with his head.
For someone who’s only 5,10 he sure had a knack for hanging in the air and beating 6,4 defenders. Averaged a bit less than 10 goals a season and 80% of those were mid air. I don’t know how he did it but I am glad he did it consistently
Perhaps the most unsung player in all premier league history. I would have given anything to have had him at the Villa. Less than 6ft and I can scarcely remember a better player in the air. Speaks to an incredible knowledge of the game and mental skillset. Positioning, timing, off the ball movement, anticipation and decision making all world class.
He was such a world class player he could of played for anyone, his hunger during games was incredible and his heading ability for a player his height was unbelievable 😳 , he talks about his ability and some reason when he talks about it, it doesn't make sense but when you think about it, it does make sense
What I loved about the Moyes era (Leeds fan) was how you got quality players really cheap. I feel Everton need to be that club again. Develop youth and sign underrated gems instead of mercenaries
Tbf Sigurdsson does try his hardest and gave us a season with 21 goal contributions. He's just in horrific form. He's still better than Tom Davies. Iwobi on the other hand never will give us anything in terms of goal contributions.
As an Australian , who has followed football for nigh on 72 years and played it until I was 36, I have to say this about Tim Cahill. Although he has a fine record at Millwall, Everton and of course the Socceroos, I do not have him in my top five of all time players from Australia. Why? because of his lack of technique around the ground compared to Marco Bresciano who plied his trade in the Serie A for nigh on 15 years is by far, I believe the most technical player Australia has ever produced. He is my number one followed by Harry Kewell, Mark Viduka, Craig Moore and Mark Schwartzer. All had excellent techniques and including Lucas Neil as well..All played Premier League football for a long time except Marco who opted to stay in Italy even though he had many offers to move. Just my thoughts but Cahill was an excellent header of the ball considering his small stature. One of his sons is or was playing in the Australian A-League right now.
We really had some tough players during this era. Cahill, Gravesen, Carsley, Hibbert, Jagielka, Baines, and even Phil Neville could dish it out. Now, what do we have?
He’s the only player who’d take a penalty with his head
And score.
@@KickassUncleAnd the keeper would fail to save it.
56 goals and 31 were headers. One of my favourite players of all time, absolute legend.
Moreover, he was only 1.78 meters high. I wish I was an Everton fan before, but I was from 2012-13.

This man was so underrated glad he's getting one of the new fifa hero cards
We're really missing a player like this in the squad. And it's really strange to see him score with anything other than his head :)
one of the best Target Man ever 🔥🔥
Possibly the most dangerous person from a set piece.

This man is a huge reason why I love football and Everton. True professional and pure quality
Could do with half a dozen cahills right now, what a buy what a player what an Evertonian.
This lad was great, and he turned up against the big teams and scored.
He was one of my favorite players all time I love his celebration a true legend passion the love of the game a lot of the things he done for Everton
An Everton legend, always a pleasure to watch him perform and his work rate was amazing.
His timing of his headers was superb, a real aussie legend.
Criminally underrated even to this day
I really miss watching our man tear it up in the green and gold.
2012 when he left. Feels like yesterday. Time really does go by so fast.
One of the best players of all time at heading
If only we had a few like him now😭
Next you should do best goals by everton defenders maybe?
Lord how we miss this man at everton now
Footballer with rugby mentality. Pride of straya

Yeah you’re just subconsciously racially biased. It’s alright he’s Samoan, English, and Irish he just happened to grow up in Australia
Without a doubt the best header of a ball I’ve ever seen the man was a royal blue tank ready to go to war every week.
55% of his goals was from headers, LEGEND!
With him in this team now.... it'd be great!!
Pound for pound the best head'er there is
2:07 could watch this goal all day
Heading the ball is part of the game
Fighter winner a never say die guy.
Header legend❤️❤️❤️
Best headers!!!!!
Do one of lukaku but include goals from cup competitions too
He was the bargain of the decade at £2million from Millwall. Scored 52 goals for Millwall in about 200 appearances, decent return from a midfielder.
COYB!
Hahaha I remember that Derby goal in 06. Probs the most drunk I've ever been in me life.
not a tall guy but he was so dangerous in the air

My favourite australian player, a true icon of football in australia.
Holy fuck, I wish he was still with us
Hes scored all types of headers.
7:50 vs Man United my favourite.
The hop before the punch flag😂
What position did he play?
CAM,CM ,
All his goals vs Liverpool, city , arsenal , Chelsea etc

Now, what do we have?
32 headers. Insane!
31 i counted may be wrong

I thought his first 2 goals were against Man City like they said in sky sports?
They was saying it was his first away and first home goal for us
7:41 that cross from pienar why can't gray or gordon do that? it should be in their skill set
Tims head game was better than Heathers.
