As a South African, I can vouch that Steven Pienaar was one of the few good footballers to make international waves.
For a football loving country as big as South Africa, we produced extremely little talent abroad.
The sky was the limit with that kid. I'm so glad that we got a hold of him with the vital goals that he scored, but I wonder what would have happened if he went to one of the big clubs in world football instead.
Say what you want about Moyes, but he signed some fantastic players for Everton. Not just any players, but proper, Everton players.
David moyes signed 74 players at Everton and a handful actually where good and made it, probably 12 signings where good that means 62 where awful
Quality and a clever player, Absolutely love him to bits.
Shame we didnt have that bit more money to spend under Moyes so we could start the season well.
the legendary bainaar partnership what a player
But he is from Cape town not Port Elizabeth
he was a great player, he is an even better man. he;s a legend
What a team they had It was also the best of Moyes he enjoyed most of his coaching career at the Toffees, Pienaar, Fellini, Arteta and Cahill
We still didn't replaced him until today...
absolute south african legend
Arsenal fan here saying he was quality! Great compilation
Back in the good old days loved that man an he loved playing 4 Everton
What a legend
A Legend of note.
PIENAAR WAS THE BEST
Who doesn't love this man with the brains and techers
Legends steven pienaar
What a player 👌🏻
03:30 one of my favourite goals ever. Shame we couldn't hold on for the win.
The last goal was pure quality also.
He used to love playing at Villa Park, didn't he? 😊
Makes you weep nowadays - would love a midfield like this now...
remember when we had some fight and work ethic and players who gave a shit? i miss players like him cahill, arteta even felliani tbh. we didn't sign many players back then but the players we did sign worked for the team. Compare it to the dross we have now just makes me hate football.
dagsy1985 also the amount of money they get paid and how we buy so many ‘big’ players that don’t have as much passion
What happened to bolasie? He was a baller
Loved watching that miss them days when the players loved playing for the shirt let’s hope we get back to that one day and kick on.
Was a GREAT player for us, watching this I couldn’t help but think we let Steven Naismith go to soon, another Everton error
The GOAT
Fantastic!!
What a player
Fantástico!!
legend
Arteta was the main man at the time but there was a period where pienaar was actually our best midfielder he was quality
David Moyes really loved Pienaar
The legend
This guy was a beast for me on fifa 14 mobile, cheat code
Baines and peanuts on that left hand side a dream team
Look at the football we used to play all of the time
Moyes is a genius for having a team like that.
God is Great remember that
GOD IS GREAT
❤❤❤❤💥
Same skill as Bernard but Piennar could score 🤘
God is great
God Is Great 😊
🇿🇦
Partite full game?
South african
Ouch
Great player but can we please sign someone this window
I heard that this comment was at the top ps i commented first
We have a player that could replace Steven p in SA goes by the name Nkosingiphile ngcobo currently playing for Kaizer chiefs.
That boy is talented and have football brain just like pienaar. Everton won't regret if they can sign that boy.
Nah bra, not of Pienaar Level. The closest to SP was Teko.
@@Silent55- thulani serero was miles ahead of teko. Teko was more hype than talent.
Thats like comparing Zuma to Obama . Pienaar was world class
@lesh lutchman What about Lucas Radebe, he was not from any of those areas and he became a Leeds United legend, when leeds were top 3 in the premier league.
GOD IS GREAT...
but Pienaar's better
He dd nothng 4 d country
Seriously dude. What have you done for the country and what player in his generation did anything with the country?
He kept the south African shirt in the epl...no has after him and benni...so what have u done for the country.....he played with mediocre players in sa boy
South african players today do not come close to the level he and others in his time have played
Mxm go to hell.. he is a legend and there will never be South African player who will shine like this in EPL
Lol what has the country done for the country
He only perform better for his team.... national team he was wasteful
legend
