I loved this Emma! I live in Sydney (Aus) and a few years ago there was an Hermes 'event' that I went to, which I just happened to see 'by chance' in a local paper and was not properly advertised. I decided to go along and only about 5 other people were present. I was treated to private viewings of the Hermes artisans (flown in from Paris) making handbags and scarf printing. It was absolutely divine. It was on for a couple of days so I went back the next day too. I took so many photographs and saved all of the little postcards that were free to take. I put them in a frame on my wall where they still hang. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had; it was my birthday too, so it's something to treasure. There's nothing like watching experts in their respective fields at work. It gives you a whole new respect for the brand!
Thank you so much for sharing, Emma❤️ I wasn’t aware they offered factory tours. I randomly stumbled across the brand online a couple of years while I was searching for a bday present for my boss and ended up getting him one of their scarves (found it on sale😅 and it most certainly can’t have been 100% cashmere).
Loved hearing about your experience and how positive it all was. I’ve been interested in this brand for a while but never knew much about them (except that it was mostly out of my price range lol). Now I’m extra tempted to purchase something from them…
I enjoy these types of tours sometimes, especially for a gift shop at the end. Can’t wait to see what you do with the fabrics. I finally restarted my channel and would love for you to check it out. Great seeing you online again.
