As a child of around 13-14 we used to live at or near the far east end of "Hickman Rd". From our home we could walk about 35 mins up to the cave you can see from the south looking northward. We used to spend our free weekends hiking all over most of the southern, western, and north ans some of the eastern parts of those mountains. I almost wanted to cry (I'm 62yrs old now living in Tucson) because some of the photographic shots I saw on your program of those wonderfully beautiful mountains brought back many memories for my which I thank you so much!!!. My mom and brother were avid searchers and seekers of most of the hidden things up there and i remember actually seeing for myself some "special" places. My brother did find gold (not much) and brought it down out of a canyon and funny how excited the people were where he went to sell it at. Mom and him spent hours studying everything they could find at bookstores about this famous legendary gold mine and those funny rock maps everyone was talking about. We used some of the directions found on those maps for many of our hikes up there. I myself was just in awe and wonder at all the beauty the mountains have for those who can just stop and absorb what it has to offer. I'm very surprised that the white Apaches who might still live in the area allow such publicity of their sacred mountains. We were often watched by them whenever we went on our longer more in-depth hikes but i diidn't mind because we were always respectful of the land and ALWAYS took our garbage back out with us bei8ng respectful of the land. Well sorry for the long winded dribble but had to stop and say something. Whenever I travel into Phoenix I always look out into the distance to try and see my favorite mountains where i grew up. I'll always cherish them because deep down inside they are my true home. Keep up the good work some of those pictures are one of a kink, specially the ones you show when the mountains are blanketed under pure white snow...they are my favorite. Throwing snow balls in the desert under the shadows of those mountains ill never forget. Again,,,keep up the good work. Whenever you're in Tucson look me up. I'll show you a real chunk of Superstition gold i brought out by myself and still keep for sentimental reasons......... a admirer of your program Me

Great video gentleman I would love to go out there and check that out but if they're having three heart attacks and being 62 I don't think I'll ever make it but I've always been interested in the Superstition Mountains and the lost Dutchman story

When I watched your first version entitled “Lost mine found in Superstition mountains” I had wondered why you didn’t show any pictures in the audit . You both had referred to it as a mine AND asa cache at 4:48 and 5:44 under the title it was also referred to as a 103 year old mining claim so you had my interest. I had just wondered at the time why after fighting your way up there you never showed pics in tunnel. And yes even at 30 feet I would rope off to go down a wooden ladder. I am from a very wet climate and any ladders i have come across in mines are usually in very poor shape so as you realise it’s better to be carefull. My appologies didn’t mean to insult your video i just expected too much from title i guess

Why no pics of the adit? Or anything looking down from where you climbed down, only pictures pointing up?
Trying to preserve the mystery of what amounts to just a very remote hole in the ground?

Naysayers are a way of life. They sit on their lazy bums and tear people down for what those people do. If the naysayers are so smart, show us your videos.

I don't think anyone realizes just exactly what you Gentleman went to alot of Trouble to show us. Sometimes you have to read between the lines so to speak.
