Speed-Slalom Windsurf Session German Wattenmeer | Andy Laufer

Beautiful session with Speed "Urgestein" Manfred Fuchs, Thorsten Mallon and Andy Laufer. Had to walk about 45 minutes at low tide until we reached the main priel. Wind was around 18 and 25 knots in the strongest gusts. Took my JP Slalom 62 and a 6.6 Neil Pryde EVOXII. Sail was bit to small to go superfast but we had lots of fun.
I love this blurry north sea autumn light in which it is difficult to see any horizon. Actually it is also quite difficult to see the water depth. I had to experience that clearly towards the end of the session when my 32cm fin hit a sandbank in full speed. Crashed with a nice catapult into some really shallow water. Still had a super stiff neck from the last crash but this one was not painful at all.

I’m jealous about how you catapult, you came straight out your harness but whenever I catapult I’m always hooked in and go strait onto the mast or sail.

Coole Session, ähnliches habe ich früher im Priel in Dorum nördlich von Bremerhaven gemacht. Thorsten Mallon war da auch ein paar Mal. Damals noch auf Five Star Segeln - die mit dem profilierten Styroporkern in der Masttasche. Lange ist es er.
Wenn ich aber diese Bilder sehe kitzelt es mich wieder mit dem Windsurfen einzusteigen.
