Notice, Batumi, Georgia tucked away nicely in the middle there. Kharkiv is all about tying down Ukrainian troops. As things stand they can't hold the front on the east, and counterattack there is off the table.
Russia knows they can’t take Kharkov. Just keeping Ukrainians under pressure on basically every front except Kherson

Basically, one year of war for 70km squares.
That's fake data. The biggest area was occupied in March/April 2022. In May 2022 it was mamy, many less than April.

Except they aren't. Not only does Russia spend $111 billion annually on military, they also trade grain and Upgraded satelites to North Korea for their 20th century massive stockpile of equipment, including ammo. Both nations are becoming stronger by shedding older equipment yet retaining 21st century equipment & building more. I dont really think that's the case. Forgive me if I sound biased but I truly am not. Ukraine is losing momentum fast and these counterattacks in the Kharkiv region won't destabilize the russians as the offensive was not really intended to punch through to kharkiv instead it was meat to spread their forces out even more thinly and the western weapons would have to be delivered in larger quantities to cover the increasing length of the Frontline
