Saturday is my main sewing day and I had planned to trace and adjust a pattern but I lost my sewing room to the 13 month old granddaughter’s nap.😊 There’s always tomorrow. I went to Hobby Lobby and talked to the clerk while I was looking through patterns. She told me their store had not received any new stock of New Look patterns for 2 years. So sad.
Wow I didnt realize there had been no new stock of NL in two tears. They’ve known about this a lot longer than we have apparently I’m glad to hear. I’m not the only one that lost their sewing room to the grandkids. Mine is a teenager and I can hear the music booming from that room lol, but he’s a very good boy so I must not complain. Hopefully we will both get our rooms back and get some sewing in by next weekend. Have a great week.!❤
I love the painting and your style. It looks like a very happy painting and you can tell that you are saying it in a happy way. I personally couldn’t get that far with stick figures so you need to be very proud of the fact that you have such a unique and beautiful style. Hopefully the grandson will go away soon, it’s so great when they come to visit and it’s so great when they go home!

I LOVE your painting, I love the style and the use of the vivid colours, it's awesome and I have seen the bench in person 😂. I don't remember you buying that top and I have it as well but i don't recall making it. Now I want to! 6458 is one of the first New Looks I bought and made sooo many T shirts from that and also dresses. It's a good basics pattern, my friend made the trousers and loved the shape. Gutted I missed the 99c sale but I think I have them all anyway 😂. Keep painting , you are truly talented. ❤❤x

Your painting is far superior than anything I could EVER do! I'm not an artist by any stretch of the imagination, so I really admire others' painting/drawing talent a lot. God just didn't bless me that way, but I'm okay with that. Can't wait to see your Simplicity dress make. Also went to Hobby Lobby to take advantage of the NL pattern clearance and ended up buying 50+ patterns. Most are duplicates of what I already had, but when I finally get to FL and eventually get a YT sewing channel started, I'll have some for give-away prizes! (Awaiting potential buyers' answer re: my counter offer. Will know by 5pm Pacific today. You'd be very welcome to join my realtor and I to look at houses. Always good to have another set of eyes, especially a pair that is not making a commission on the sale!) The first project I do after moving to FL and getting my house set up is an 8640 dress! I've been wanting to make one for so long, but just didn't have the bandwidth to do so. Already bought several pieces of cotton fabric to make a few of them, The fabric has been pre-washed, ironed and packed away. You may not have painted often, but your painting is lovely. You have a distinct style of your own. That's something I struggle with. I don't know if I have a distinct style of my own or not. I think maybe I do, but I'm not sure. I have most of the patterns you showed, except for the baby doll blouse. The first pattern you showed and pointed to the one you want to make, is my all time favourite pattern. I wear that dress continuously all summer,in the view you want to make. I should fit in a size 22, but I made an 18 and it fits perfectly.

I happened to be in Michigan to enjoy the New Look sale..They were stacked in numerical order so it was easy to sort through. I bought 6. Your painting brought Bob Ross and his happy little clouds to mind. Very cheerful.
@@pinkysfarm461 anybody with farm animals is used to chaos. A clerk pointed out to me that they were in order except for the ones people messed up. Message received. Didn’t want a time out in the naughty chair.
I know what you mean about digging through the New Look patterns! My store had them in baskets on top of the pattern drawers. I had to haul each one down to look through them! I was bad! I bought 16! 😂 ~Nancy

The only thing I paint is walls and the occasional thrifted piece of furniture. Memories with grandparents are precious.
