I do struggle with that thought in almost every aspect of my life. And it was an amazing refresh with starting to learn stained glass that I didn't judge myself that much and it was so enjoyable. Great advice and thank you for opening up Chagall to me!

Very wise words. Something that may take time to put in place, especially after years of self-criticism.

But you did a Art school. Imagine the ones learning by themselves with a rage to create …but fool (full) of doubts

I don't know if anything I experienced can be of any help. haven't done art school. I am self taught. He said everything I have said about letting go, etc. I really had to fight the OCD side of being science and math based. When I finally did, it was like magic. I was surprised by what was happening, that I could have something like that piece of art come from letting go. He is spot on from my experience. Add: how I fought it was by allowing myself. I let myself be the child that never had fear or thought of failure. I let myself have fun, to be curious. I was firm it was not my time to be hard on myself and it became simpler to do each time and I loved and lived the moment, instead of thinking about dinner or what I wasn't getting done. Children don't do those thoughts, which is why I refer to that approach. Maybe there is something you love that can be your guide for you.

@@sacrebleu1371 I have same background. But always we were probably Artists. Being an Artist is a way of thinking , not specific to a trade . Being in R&D , we don’t have to be creative , rebel. But to translate that to drawing is hard since I have to transfer all that in another domain
Thank you very much for your writing . Long live
