I have been using Apple grad on all my bags for a couple years and I love it. I do respray them once a year though
Do you still do regularly cleaning and/or conditioning?
I respray mine too ... sometimes at 6 months
I was thinking that perhaps you could spray some on a Q-tip and rub in on the smaller, harder to get to leather areas of your bag.
I spray the canvas lightly also because they’re prone to color transfer and it worked on all of mine

Hi Jennifer, I know this was a video you did last year, but you mentioned that you were going to try the AppleGuard spray on one of your older bags that had patina'd vachetta... You mentioned that you would clean it first and then spray it.... I am wondering if you did??? I have recently purchased a preloved Noe...and there is a lot of vachetta on that bag. I have used this product on all of my new bags with vachetta, but never an older bag.... Any information you could provide would be so very helpful!!! Thank you!!!💙💙💙

Hi Jennifer, thanks for the update. Just wondering can you and have you cleaned the leather with baby wipes since using the Apple Guard? Just wondering how that would go and if it would affect the protection that the Apple Guard has given.

Hi, did you ever try spraying the older bag? Curious to see how that went. I have a few LVs that have started to patina and have watermarks. Wondering if I can/should spray them at this point.
I was told to also spray the bag to keep it from color transfer
Spray the canvas girl ! Don’t like drip spray it but just lightly because it protects that light color from picking up transfer

Caught in the rain and there are no spots?! Awesome!! My 3 yo monogram speedy has a few rain spots from when it was new.

Hi Ali! The vachetta is fabulous on this bag! The protectant spray helps the leather not get water spots and helps repel dirt, but it does not stop the vachetta from getting the honey patina. My bag is a couple years old though, and still has the very light, nearly new vachetta color...so it takes a long time to get the honey color, usually.
Me too the old dark dirty vachetta looks disgusting IMO

Hi Jennifer, after watching your experiment video I decided to try it on a couple of older bags I had. It went on fine and no problems so I used it in my new DA Neverfull. I read up on the product and found people spray their interior and canvas etc so I decided to not cover anything and sprayed all leather inside and out then took a baby wipe and wiped off the canvas.(it was so much faster than covering parts). Anyway, all is great and I just ordered another can for the future touch ups. How often will you touch up? I guess it’s really would depend on usage....

Krista K hi I’m getting a new lv never full in monogram! And going to try this spray. So you didn’t cover the leather? How many coats do you do? It helps with the stains? But not patina? Sorry for the questions lol

melissa pintone just found this message. I do one coat. Let dry then another. I didn’t cover anything. I just wiped the hardware and canvas with a baby wipe after.

Thank you for the update! I’m curious about color transfer. I’d love to get a damier azure bag, but i wear a lot of dark jeans and wonder if there’s a way to keep it looking nice
Hi Holly! I have had no color transfer at all, so far! I have a sunglasses case in damier azur that I have used non-stop for years in all my bags. It rubs against all sorts of dark interior colors (red, plum, black and brown) and I've had no color transfer on it, either. :)

Thank you for the update. I’ve been using apple garde on all my vachetta with great results so far, but after watching monsieurashley video on patina and seeing his keepall patina I’m going to follow what he does for my next bag that arrives tomorrow. Kind of nervous to let it stay naked because I’ve never done it before, but he has been caught in the rain with no issues

This was great I have a few Lvs but all DE pattern because I’m OCD of getting the monogram handles dirty lol I’ve been thinking now I’m to get the neverfull in DE azur and now will if this works! Did your handles get darker?

I wish I had known about this product last year when I bought my LV Berri Hobo MM and within a week got caught in rain and then got water splashed a couple weeks later in the restroom while washing my hands😩😩😩 I ended up selling it after only owning it for 6 months ( took a BIG loss) because I hated the water stains and if you see the Berri hobo it has these big Vachetta sections right on both of the bottom sides and a huge Vachetta strap -- such a beautiful bag but it was too high maintenance 🤣 Now I don’t own any bags with Vachetta - just empreinte, epi, vernis ( only one as it’s got it’s own issues 😆 or Damier Ebene but seeing your bag makes me miss it 💗
Oh no!! The dreaded public restroom sink!! There is never any safe place to put your bag in situations like that! I have been known to hang my bag around my neck and down my back. Also once clenched it between my knees while leaning waaaaayy forward to wash my hands. It's ridiculous, but necessary at times!
How often are you spraying the vachetta? Once a year, a couple of times a year??? Also, is it doing an even patina?
Did you spray the DA canvas with the apple garde? I’m interested in using it to keep it protected

If your bag has already patina should you clean it THEN condition it first before using the Apple Guard?

Have you done another update?? I just purchased the Noe GM in this print and it has so much vachetta and considering spraying it.
I have not done another update, but I will perhaps closer to the Spring. I will say that my vachetta still looks exactly like it did in the latest update video. I think the spray has definitely saved my handles from water spots a time or two. I do recommend it!

Thank you for sharing. What do you do to treat the canvas? I love the Damier Azur, but I do get nervous about getting it dirty.
I haven't used anything on it to treat the canvas, but have been diligent about color transfer. Not changing how I use the bag, or what colors it rubs against...but diligent about checking it to see if it needs to be wiped, etc. I use ultra sensitive water (no fragrance, no alcohol) wipes. I've carried my damier azur sunglasses case in every bag I own for several years and it has had zero color transfer issues. It rubs against the red/plum/black and brown interiors, too. So, I am not too worried about it, to be honest. Thank you for watching :)
Thank you. I wipe mine down with organic wipes after every use. It is too pretty to ruin.

It is still perfect! No dryness, no spots, no issues. The patina is light and lovely.

Unfortunately, it is no longer available. I have looked and looked on preloved sites, as well. It originally came in two different colorways, and I would love to have the other one, too!
