It’s called the “head” because the term comes from the days of sailing ships when the place for the crew to relieve themselves was all the way forward on either side of the bowsprit, the integral part of the hull to which the figurehead was fastened.

Wouldn't the waste come floating along the sides of the ship then? Where would the captain's quarters be in those days? If in the stern, was this the reason they couldn't crap there instead?

Nice yacht and yes the stewardess is cute. Darian beat me to the punch on why a vessel's bathroom is called a head. One very nice feature about the yacht is the inward slanted windows on the bridge. It reduces the heat and sunlight coming into the bridge it's self.

The young lady is certainly a looker and her entertaining and pleasing nature is very charming but don't let that fool you, if she works on board as a stewardess, she is certainly a hard worker and sometimes staying entertaining and pleasing is even harder to do than everything else. Why is the bathroom called a head? I believe this is due to the fact that in older ships, prior to plumbing, the toiled was at the head of the boat and was essentially a hole cut out over the bow. This was placed there as the waves would hopefully wash off any of the residual poop that hit the ship.

It is know as a head because in age of sail the place for the crew to use the pooper was at the bow of the ship or the head of the ship, also when a bedroom has its own bathroom it is know as being en-suite

Didn’t open up a single cupboard, didn’t talk about the software or engines? Range? Knots? Are there crew quarters? Is there room for a tender/JetSki? Does it have a hydraulic swim platform? All the time to play mr. popular though 🙄
My question is,” what’s her range and what type of engine does she have”? Also, I would really love to see the engine room as well as the crew quarters in your next vids if that’s anyway possible....

Engine room and crew quarters is always nice for yacht tours. Engines are 3 x Volvo Penta IPS 1200 (pod drive) with cruise speed of 20 knots and a max speed of 37 knots. Has a secure range of 595nm.

@@andreashabeck1155 100% agree but that's what is listed on their website. Range is decent but for an 88M kind of limiting IMO. Still far enough to get you from Miami to the Caribbean.
How longe time is there to you Make a new video?
Called a head because, they were located in the bow of the ship. The purpose of was to reduce the amount of time the crew would “gold brick” as the bow offered the most movement. Crew would only want to go if the had to. If you pretending to be sick, by going to the head, you would definitely be sick by the time you left.

One little rogue wave would easily smash the thin windows, capsize it and you would sink in no time.

But I really wish you would show the crew cabins. I know on the video of motoryacht Bold you said you don’t want them to have to clean their room, but at least ask them to show up. And the room doesn’t need to be clean like a guest cabin. I like to see the crew cabins and the captain‘s cabin.

Def not worth 8.2m thats overselling it. In my opinion. Marketing is a funny business. You know like those drones that take about $3.50 because of all the plastic.. But they sell it for like $899.99... Soon as you land it, it falls apart. Everyone wants to be a billionaire. Even if they gotta rip people off to do so.. This is the same concept. To me i wouldnt pay no more than 800k for this yacht if it was brand new. It probably cost about 430-450k to build.
Crew Quarters ??? Really Important if you are looking to sell. If Quarters are to small then you have an Unhappy crew and no one wants that.
