Carry the serpents curved sword OR icon shield OR great stars OR butchering knife in the offhand to regain even more FP.
Oh yeah the knife is great!
Hold up the great stars/butcher knife works as a passive tool like Icon?
I didn't know that.
You could make some dumb ass builds with that and really fast attacking weapons like a twin blade
@@ethandonnelly1973 when I use a twin blade , I run it two handed and keep the blasphemous blade on my back > I think it’s the best offhand choice if you have the endurance. You don’t even need to meet the requirements either.
@mattwalker2818 well damn I thought those buffs were exclusive to the hits of those weapons.
Though I shouldn't have because logically the rest give the buff. My brain apparently forgot to consider that
@@ethandonnelly1973you could also combine them with poison or rot for more hp regen
But consider the strongest regen strat: equipping the blessed dew talisman and checking your phone for 3 minutes
LOL true
Free 360 health
I’m literally doing that rn . That and icon shield lmfao
An absolute classic maneuver
Every time I invade
I did a similar build once, but dual wielding the Blasphemous blade and the sword of Milos, instead of the takers cameo I had the blue antler you get from a boss… I forgot the name 😂😂😂.
Anyway, Blasphemous regens health, the blue horn talisman and Milos regen focus points. Is amazing how much you just dont use the flasks
It really is man, it’s quite nuts
I tried this! I was challenging myself to see how long I could fight without having to touch a single grace, I got up to the capital until a gargoyle didnt like the way I was balling on his homies and rekt me, overall good build, obviously hit graces still, but it can keep you in the fight way longer, try combining with some faith spells, as well as equipping two talismans in each hand as you can still get the affect (i believe I havent played in a while) of the respective sword you still have out, having you gain FP or HP by just casting, sorry for the essay lol.
@@thearcher2275 that’s one of my favorite challenges lately 😂
The Regal Ancestor Spirit’s horn. That’s what the talisman that restores FP per kill is called, or something like that
@@thinkingsoutherner9911 CORRECTION, I meant Sacred Seals😅, but good point!
Icon shield also regens health and helps woth the "invincible" part since it actually gives some pretty good DR. All that healing is useless if you get one shot anyway.
Yes it does my friend
All that healing and you still get 2-shot in the end game 🤣
Happens to the best of us
Seriously though, it got fucking absurd how much damage bosses were doing in the end game.
@@Zorro7269 not even just bosses even in PVP it’s like every single build is a glass Cannon your one ash of war away to being sent back to the next Gracepoint
@@OlDanTucker Eh, I’ve never really dabbled in PvP so that’s not much of an issue for me.
But what is an issue for me is getting hit by someone like Radagon ONCE and suddenly I’m within stub your toe and die range. I love the fight against Radagon, it’s my second favorite fight in the game, only being beaten by Maliketh, but I just hate how much damage he does, it makes the fight feel legit unfair. Even Darkeater Midir and Slave Knight Gael, for being the final bosses in the final piece of media ever released for the Dark Souls trilogy, didn’t fucking erase half of my health in one attack. They erased at maximum a fourth or fifth, but I can manage that.
@@Zorro7269 Well, Vigor is kinda mandatory late game so....
Serpent curved sword on the side it’s like having a fifth talisman
Oh true story I forgot all about that wep
And if not that, then the icon greatshield
You can also use Great Stars or Butchering Knife, both give you HP upon hitting enemies
Yeah I wanna do a build with the butcher knife
Great stars with wild strikes is a great combo
Personally I'd run Great Stars with Prayerful Strike instead of the Blasphemous Blade.
I run Great Stars with Prelate's Charge. Stunlock city and your HP bar refills in seconds. It's how I beat Malenia the first time
Royal Remains set recovers 2hp per second per piece of the set, when your hp is low. For a total of 8 hp per second. Couple with the Icon Shield for an additional 2hp per second. Or, if you're not inclined to use a shield, use the Serpent-God's Curved Sword to get additional Hp on kill.
If you're good at parrying or break poise often, you could use the Crimson Assassin Dagger Talisman to get Hp chunks back when you crit.
Or, you can substitute the Blasphemous Blade with the Great Stars, regaining 1% hp when you land a hit. Mixed with Prelate's Charge or Golden Land, each hit of the charge, or golden darts will replenish 1% hp.
Suck up that hp, Tarnished.
Lol will do my friend
Icon shield heals you for 3 hp. #1hp_life_matters
@@Skrek-qw1jz Ah, thank you for the correction.
Xxx3
Malenia’s waterfowl dance says otherwise
Hahaha u right

@@HexadecimalDumpyou are a casual
@@patrykcichowicz3280You are a casual.
blasphemous blade does 4% +40 healing on kill--the ash does the 10%+150 on hit. The Serpent God Sword does another 2.5% on kill--but it can be in your offhand. So if you have it in your offhand, easy +2.5% health on kill. Mixed with Rykard's great rune as well, boom.
Unlimited POWER!!!
Also, fun is, of course, Prelate's Charge on Great Stars or Butcher Knife.
Side note I also like to put on Blue Feathered Branchsword and Twin-Bird Kite Sheild for even more defense if you get low. If you want to part with one of the stated talismans.
Oh true!
Good build but it's missing a lot, add in Icon Shield and given the Faith investment for Blasphemous Blade you could add Regen spells on top.
True true true
As a Host, you can use Rykard's for additional healing when something dies or use Margot's Rune for a higher HP count so that your % healing is even more effective.
Thanks friend, wonderful advice
Or Malenia's, for maximum healing effectiveness
You can also use physik that regents health over time and heals hp when close to death.
Malenia’s great rune would be viable if it wasn’t only available at the end of the game.
Yeah it’s too bad it’s so late game
Also have the serpent-god's curved sword in your off hand for even more hp when defeating enemies
Nice I always forget about that weapon for real
I accidentally did this build on my first playthrough and it was so fun
Aha nice dude!
I'd swap the on-kill healing for something that increases max health, so that the percentage healing from other items gets stronger.
hmmmm not a bad idea at all
This is the kind of build that, seeing it as an invader makes me think 'this is gna be an easy invasion'
Yup it’s not for pvp
To make it better u equip a second blasphemous blade in your off hand and it’ll stack the healing even if you 2 hand your main hand sword
I like this idea
Don’t forget about the great rune that you get from Malenia, that when you activate it allows you to heal yourself after every attack.
Yea true true!
Her rune has a BIG downside... cant remember what, but its not worth it
@@mrsgamer9218 I think the only downside is, there’s no other buffs from that rune.
All the other ones, give some sort of benefit to your stats.
The effect of the Rune is similar to the Rally mechanic from Bloodborne, giving you a chance to regain lost health after being hit.
The downside is that your flasks potency is reduced.
@@mrsgamer9218 it greatly reduced the effectiveness of your flask of crimson tears
Ad a noob a year ago i was so confused why i would get some HP back out of nowhere 😂 I did not realise it was the armor
Haha yeah dude it’s not a ton of health but it’s some
@@pastorgainzgames Yeah and it has this "aura" effect of a buff.. And I was always wondering: Why am I glowing? Hahaha..
"Have fun being inv-" title card
you can also use the icon greatshield which also restores hp over time
This build sounds fun.
It’s pretty interesting, ur not gonna do crazy damage but dying almost becomes impossible lol
@@pastorgainzgames so I suck at this game is this better for beating bosses than a high damage blasphemous blade build?
@@Huston-il4uv no it’s not. Let me tell u friend, few things can be better than that sword haha
@@Huston-il4uvgetting good
Rykard hella easy
If only you could add two claw weapons and you got a Wolverine build!
But Blasphemous blade sounds fun
Yeah dude its one of the best in the game
Pretty sure you can put the bloody stab? Ash of war on claws. It heals you whe you hit with it. Its multiple stabs.
@@lrwkobra1 Apparently claws right now are insane
So instead of blasphemous blade you could use the claws instead and use Marikas great rune while using the rest of the stuff in the build and it is relatively the same!
@@CalicoGlowstick true claws got a massive buff in 1.09
The Godskin swaddling cloth isn’t good for Greatswords and other heavy weapons, it’s better to use a talisman to regenerate focus points or to use the bullgoat talisman for more poise instead.
It depends imo but I can understand what ur sayin
The godskin swaddling cloth just isn't good period, unless you're doing prelates charge cheese or swinging a big weapon through a weak mob it almost never procs. Against large bosses, even using fast weapons like daggers and fists, you're pretty much always better off using something else, such as more equip load or the multi hit damage talismans.
Some quick ideas for the HIVE MIND highlight:
-A piston wall behind each letters pulling back a block, quickly revealing lights or lava on the edge. So it makes a square pop up behind each letters, then disappear.
-Throw a tnt in front of each letter. Fits the perimeter theme, but may be too slow. If you want to be fancy, you could make a cannon that spells the letters with the explosion. (So a H in front of the H, I in front of the I, etc)
the icon shield goes well with the blessed dew talisman
Blessing of the erdtree can stack with all that too
Yes indeed u can get a lot with buffs
Thanks!
DUDE thank u so much for the tip!!!!!
The assassins dagger talisman you get in the limgrave catacomb gives like 50%-25% health back on critical hits like back stabs and like boss fights when they get staggered it’s really nice early game it’s like the skill from sekiro
Thats on build 2.0
Personally I put the blasphemous blade on my back, use eleanoras poleblade, or any weapon that builds bleed well, and the talismans: Godskin swaddling cloth, rotten winged sword insignia, takers cameo, and lord of blood exultation, sometimes swapping takers cameo for another talisman, but while not fully regen-focused, it simultaneously shreds boss health and heals you, it’s like a dollar store malenia build
Fair enough thats not a bad build either
There is a sheild that heals you +2 hp per second I forget what it's called but you could use it in off hand
Icon shield maybe?
You can also use rykards great rune for an even more op build, it grants you health after each kill
Oh true story dude
Slight modifications that will make it a bit more extreme, replace Alexander shard with crimson amber +3 or crimson knife and put the sacred shield on your back for an additional +2hp every second
I tried a similar build, nightrider glaive with Bloodtax ash instead of blasphemous blade. Also used Rotten sword insignia with godskin cloth, later replaced takers cameo with millicent's prosthesis, since BT is a 4 hit combo it makes getting the buffs real easy. The reach and stagger potential of the polearm coupled with massive bleed build up and damage made it comparable to RoB in effectiveness, the self heal was icing on the cake.
Edit to add. This kills a NG+ Omen in one jump heavy with BT followup and one more light attack seems to stun them with the bleed damage killing them outright. Build is Nightrider glaive with bloodtax, white mask, raven cloak for jump attack damage, lord of blood talisman, rotten sword and millicent prosthesis, godskin cloth can be replaced with anything the healing from BT alone will get you to full pretty easy.
Dont forget the "Blessing Of The Erdtree" incantation which restores HP gradually as well.
Oh true story
Blessing of the erdtruee boosts it damn near to full I thought. I have 1906
How to become an SCP in Elden Ring:
SCP?
@@pastorgainzgames Meant to be a joke about unbeatable regeneration

@@narrativeless404 oh lol fair
the dlc added a crystal tear that heals you when you hit enemies so this can be even better now
The armor heals 2 HP per second for every piece, so in total it's 8 HP per second. But only if you're under 18% of your max. HP, therefore, not really good.
Fair point
The erdtree shield that restores HP as well
Indeed!
2 hp per second though is like abysmal though. I have never seen that talisman except for at the very beginning of the game when you don't have alot of HP but later in the game you will barely notice it's there
Oh for sure it’s dumb but I wanted to put together every health regen I could find
Regen needs to be stacked to be good, and it's not really good enough to be a relied upon as your main thing. Stacking with the royal remains set for example can make you unable to be killed via poison, since it will ballance out with the healing.
Combining it with the talisman that gives you more armour when at low HP can keep you above "one hit kill" levels of hp threshold reliably.
Or switch the shard for the assassins black knife talisman or whatever it’s called (heals you on crits)
Oh that would be good too, but unless you are spec'd for crits its a niche talisman
@@pastorgainzgamesyou could potentially power stance the great swords (just higher dmg or dual blasphemous in ng+) for a lot more stance breaks, but then I guess you’d go down a rabbit hole for a build oriented around a whole fighting style
Blessed dew doesn't get enough love ever...thank you
Of course
Their is a talisman that heals a shit ton when you do crits. Cannot remember what it’s called, but it’s damn good
you are probably talking about the crimson assassins dagger
Yes that’s the one
Yeah I didn’t add it because it’s super situational 🤓
@@pastorgainzgamesot situational on your build my guy. Infact it's OPTIMAL for what you're tryna do and the weapon you're using.
You have a greatsword, they're absolutely busted for breaking poise and takers flame is already a good regen source.
I left a comment above fully detailing the build I have (Its a big comment sorry in advance) but the gist is, crimson dagger plus ritual shield talisman used for guard countering with a great weapon.
Guarding with a greatsword provides insane damage reduction on your first taken hit, greatsword guard counters do massive damage to enemy poise.
If you jump attack someone and then guard counter their retaliatory hit, you'll break most enemies on the spot. Tougher enemies will require an extra uncharged heavy or another jump attack but they're rare.
Breaking them allows a crit. Then while they're waking up, you can charge takers flame and hit them with it.
All together, that'll heal you for more than 25% of your HP and it'll deal a frankly stupid amount of damage. If you heal back to full with that combo, then ritual shield will reactivate, giving you that insane damage reduction again.
Which means you can repeat the guard counter/jump/ heavy attack combination.
I use crimson dagger on the claymore and UGS with ritual and crimson dagger and frankly that regen alone is more than enough to bully most enemies.
Takers flame is just disgustingly overkill but that's why it's great
@@ethandonnelly1973 GOD DAMN MY MAN GOT EXCITED
Don’t forget bestial constitution and sacred icon shield.
Ah yeah indeed!
Supplement the blessed dew talisman with the icon shield, and add the bubbletear that slowly regens health. Throw on beastial vitality. You're basically wolverine. You could also use that serpent curved sword or the sacred cleaver blade that anastasia drops when she's at Mt Gilmer. And with the greatshield blocking 95% phys damage, you can actually use it and you wont notice the chip damage most of the time.
That weapon carry me at my first playthrough
Me in pvp: I AM IMMORTAL
Lol pvp is a scary place
If only the icon shield and beast incant were easy to get and add to the build
Yeah those would help as well
Bestial Vitality requires less faith than the Blasphemous Blade 😅
Icon shield ain't an issue if you know how death birds work.
They're violently weak to holy damage, like, a single holy pot to their head can deal upwards of a thousand damage.
Craft like 10 of them and just use the pots after they've performed a big attack and are recovering from said attack and you'll kill most without actually using all the pots.
They're scary when fought as a regular enemy but they're more or less gimmick bosses in their own right similar to Rykard.
Just throw the Catholic Church at them and they explode
@@ethandonnelly1973 Thousand damage for a pot? Unless you''ve got no stats, you can hit for more than that with most weapons. Spells hit for average of 2k-5k. Upwards of 7-8k with buffs.
@draconicwolf6499 Generally speaking, You're often not engaging them late in the game so your damage is generally sub par for the majority of the ones you encounter Like there's 4 or 5 between limgrave and liurnia, which is still very early game. You can run into one within like, 5 minutes of leaving the opening grave if you just ride north and most weapons at that point in the game top around 100 damage at most.
But also, this is more about how safely you can take them on. Alotta people struggle against them, and dislike fighting them.
You don't really have to fight them with this method, you just have to stand back outta their normal swing range, Allow them to perform an attack, and then toss the pot as they recover. 4 or 5 without risking yourself and they're done.
I'm not saying you can't deal with them on your own, with more damage.
I'm just saying the Holy pots will melt them without you ever needing to put yourself at risk or really deal with them. And a thousand was the base damage of a normal pot, not the more powerful version, I believe it scales with faith so if you're using it as a core stat you should do more.
It's just a time/effort saving way for those that don't care to fight them, or for those that don't have a build centered around distance.
Since you'd probably want faith for that blasphemous sword, I'd personally swap out blessed dew for the FP on kill. Now every kill nets you HP AND FP. FP that could then be spent on, say, healing, regen, damage and damage reduction prayers.
(I'm fairly sure the HP Regen tears cancel out any regen prayers you cast, unfortunately.)
If you *really* wanted to, you COULD throw in a shield with Holy Ground. It heals you while you stand in it and gives you defence buffs.
Makes sense 😎
icon shield in the offhand gives passive ho regen aswell
Oh very good I had forgotten that one
Fias Deathbed dress is way better because it just flat out regens your hp and your Allie’s around you vs waiting until you’re just about dead anyway to do it
Oh I didn’t know that, nice!
Correction: The deathbed dress only heals allys around the wearer, the wearer does not heal themselves, it has no effect when playing solo
(tho in co-op , if everybody is wearing deathbed dresses, everybody heals eachother)
Great stars plus prayerful strike or golden land (all of the projectiles also have lifesteal when u use great stars I believe)
ah yes thats a good idea
Me: equip every item that gives me health regeneration.
Every enemy that needs like 3 hits to kill me:
Lol honestly same
"Have fun being immortal!" Gets one shotted
They took care o' you boys. A " we are sorry" for the measly regeneration of the Sanctus and Ring of Sun Princess. May Chaos Take....The World!
:)
Honestly I think this exact build but change out the swaddling cloth and cameo for greatshield talisman and great jars arsenal and level endurance with bullgoat armor and use the great stars with prayerful strike, the result is that as long as the enemy doesn't dodge you'll hit them and regain half of your hp bar per hit but never take that much damage
not a bad idea at all man!
There's also a greath butchers knife in bonny village (DLC) that heals everytime u hit someone only heals a little bit but still useful
Saving this, thanks.
No prob 🥰
You should add incantations like black flame protection and golden vow ontop.
In order to make any use off all that regen.
sounds dope
Don’t forget about touching players death animations for the free heals or FP regen. The armor set does 2hp per piece if I remember correctly, because if there isn’t anything around me to heal myself quickly w/o using pots, I’ll equip the armor set, shield and toggle equip the Dew talisman to regain my hp much quicker. That way I can quickly be at full HP and enter the boss fight. I do miss the old helmet swap healing that should have been left alone, or just patched to not work in pvp. Even though it does not matter if the invaders have no health pots, all they have to do is find bloodstains, or run near NPCs killing each other/kite you towards enemies for you to kill.
0o0o0 nice thank you
This was legit my build on my first playthrough
Nice!
Use the Icon Shield in your offhand to boost your per second healing from 2 to 5.
Icon shield on the back is a top drip and makes hp regen even faster.
Love that ok dope
you could also do poison mist butcher's knife, each tick of the poison mist heals (or at least it did, it may of been changed/ fixed if it was a glitch)
dude there is no way that is still around thats amazing
Put icon shield in the off hand, buff with bestial vitality, use the health regen crystal tear in the wondrous physick
“Breathes” +1000 health
I saw a really great idea, that i wouldve NEVER thought of on my own... using OIL POTS, before you use takers flame. It friggin ENGULFS them for bigger damage
Oh dude THAT is such a dope idea
Blessed Dew and Turtle talisman are a must have for any player.
Carry another Balshphemous Blade as well. The effects stack, even if you power stance one of the 2 Blasphemous Blades you'll get the effects of both the Blades.
I made a regen build once using all the sources of regen and faith is the way to go. Blessed Dew Talisman, put Holy Ground Ash of War on a shield, regen physick flask tear, bestial vitality Incantation, Blessing of the Erdtree similar Incantation. All that stacks, and is a fairly sizeable chunk of HP Regen per second. I have everything wrote down. There's other sources like armor, weapons, shields that regen HP. The Swaddling Cloth goes well with Thorny Cracked Tear, Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, and Milicent's Prosthesis....anyways. Nice build
The one thing I would change for a Health Build is changing Shard of Alexander for the back stab/reposte healing Talisman. Other than that, damn near perfect.
Roger that man, I got a 2.0 healing build out as well that I think is better
Alternatively, for more healing with less damage, you can put on the crimson dagger talisman, did this build with it and the art of war staggers pretty well so the critical heal helps
Ritual sword talisman would be a strong addition
For that damage ye
Theres a shield that does the same as blessed dew talisman. Wear it on your back aswell and youll still get the effect.
I know it requires reapplying, but incantations like Blessing's Boon and Beastial Vitality and the Crimsonburst Crystal Tear in your Physick can help up the total hp regen.
I didn't have it optimized, but my first build was this. It was great, along with the mimic tear it turned bosses into fluffy kittens, though I missed a lot that first playthrough.
Another good option is two great stars with prelate charge on main hand and prayerful strike on the other with the same tailsmens and armor
dont forget Rykards great rune to get hp back everytime you kill anything
Grab a seal, slap on blessings boon and grab the physic tear that grants hp regen and offhand the icon shield. Lastly morgott greatrune for big HP stat
nice, check out the 2.0 build :)
"Have fun being invincible".
Malenia: are you Shure about that?
Offhand the icon shield for more passive regen or serpents curved sword for more hp upon killing an enemy
Water Fowl Dance : I'm bout to end this man's whole career
Lol don’t, leave me alone, I’m bad at pvp 😏
Add to that the greatshiled and bam, health all the time everytime xD
With very low faith, you could add on beasts vitality for more regen or if you have a lot of faith, then use erdtree's blessing. You could also throw on a greatshield for more (don't remember the name of it)
True true I use that in 2.0
An ash of war that would be very good for this is Prayerful strike was it does ludicrous damage and heals for a massive amount of HP.
I’ve never used it I should try it out!
If you used bleed build use godskin swaddling cloth, millicent prosthesis, rotten winged, and lord of blood exultation. While you succesive attack, your hp can be restore
There’s also the beast’s vitality incantation you get from Gurranq that gives heal over time.
Yes It does a good job but the heal over time is almost not worth it in a long fight
You COULD also carry the Icon Shield. It doesnt even need to be in your hands, it can be on your back hand while you two hand the blasphemous blade. Also maybe carry a seal for the sake of casting Beastial Vitality, Bleesings boon, or Blessing if the Erdtree. If faith cost is a concern Beastial Vitality is a light cost and can be easily afforded with the faith cost of the blasphemous blade
I have heard that, icon shield is great, I don't think I had any levels on it yet though
"have fun being invincible!!"
*proceeds to get continuously mercilessly 1 hit because praise elden ring and behold dog*
All the things!
Better talisman stack is crimson dagger, dragoncrest greatshield talisman, and ritual shield talisman.
Use a colossal weapon luke trolls hammer and the crimson dagger procs twice on every parry, stance break, or backstab. This results in about 1/3 of your hp being refilled. The combination of decent armor, dragoncrest, and ritual shield means you walk around with about 63% damage reduction or 70% flat durring hyper armor frames. And every normal enemy gets stance broken from 1 jumping r2 with a colossal.
So combine that with some carian paries and backstabs makes you really hard to kill. Adding a holy ground ash of war on a rickety shield for tougher enemies and you've got the game in the bag.
To add to this. Icon shield for more passive heals and rycards rune. For the 4th talisman I chose the one that decreases the dmg you take by 20% when you are at 20%. And for the flask go with the life recovery.
At 99 Vit, it was really fun going full taunters tounge wherever you go.
Oh, and bring some knifes if you get invaded. Throw one or two at the sheep/birds and you're back to full life
Oooooo thank u
How do the knives recover hp?
if you want extra hp regen you can equip the icon shield while 2 handing blasphemous blade
The greatshield in mistwood Regens as well
Oh yes I forgot about that
Big shield plus heavy armor plus any regeneration equipment = winning every fight by attrition
Haha yeah dude I’ll agree
you could also add the assassin's crimson dagger to get health from ripostes
Yes very good
There's a greatrune that also restores like 10% of HP upon killing anything.
oh yes true
Reminds me of blessed weapon regeneration ring abjucator shield in demon souls.
Yup I remember
Since you've got the faith to use Blasphemous Blade you may as well use a sacred seal and Bestial Vitality or the other heal over time spell, Lord's Divine Aid or something like that.
Oh nice this is a solid idea
