Yea I had gm put it on when I bought but I hate chrome gold etc. I thought it was totally black. Hard to find totally black so I had to hyperdip/ plastic my badges. I’m hoping someone makes a replacement that is totally blacked out. I don’t want to keep dipping in the future.
Anybody know if the black letters are being stolen? My friend has a new 2021 truck with the black badge. The M suddenly "fell off" a month ago, and the Dealership won't cover it under warranty. They said these letters just don't fall off.
it’s a possibility or they just flew off, I’m missing the M and C, the g was still attached so I removed it and it came off easily. yeah body parts are covered under warranty
So my current emblem badge is kinda loose the C can be tugged at and it pops off a little at the top of the C… I have the dealership next week replacing it with the black emblems, and my question is: if they’re just popping it on such as u did here, wouldn’t it still be kind of loose just as the red one is now for some reason?
Hey hope that all went well I actually just noticed today that my badge (bought the truck new and the badge was already black) is also loose specially the “C” I was just looking at it and I felt it to see how they go on and sure enough the top tabs were already let out so I just stuck my hand in the grill behind the badge and kinda fidgeted and it popped back in I’m guess the tabs are faulty or just prone to popping out
My customers who watch as I work on their cars say the same thing. And each of them always say that they are glad they didn't try it themselves once they see just how much really goes into it when seeing it "live". Thanks for tuning in!!
Thanks Buddy! This proved to be one of those rather stressful moments in adapting to the newest model year changes. What works on one model year, does not always work moving forward. B well!
To ensure they never fall off, a couple of dabs of PL Premium adhesive would work well.
I did this with my AT4X and the lower left part on the M will not clip as hard as I pushed it just won’t clip
Are there specific locations to drill or are u just drilling to break the red inlay out thanks

Was driving the “M” really necessary? I have the same truck and I want to replace the emblems
Will this same method work on 2023 Sierra’s? The dealer wants to pull the grill off which seems like overkill

your old one coulda had a broken tab on the back . that’s what grabs on to the holders that are made with the grill

Question, Where those new badges lighted/LEDs?
No LED's, just stock replacement emblems from the dealership. I show the backend being done in a video that will be coming out next week.

Pull the top tray above the radiator and reach behind to squeeze the clips. This removal method is not even close to necessary.
