I didnt think I would miss the characteristics of the true duals this much because if I heard these in the distance: the xpipe sounds sexy but the true duals sound ready to fight. Park revving, the Xpipe has it though. You have me considering just upsizing to a 3.5" and checking if that quells the rasp
Sounds so nice! Just grabbed me a 2013 X5 xdrive50i with the notoriously bad N63. Only 63,000 miles and customer care package done last year though. Runs like a top and burns absolutely zero oil. I was so surprised. She is so fun to drive and I appreciate the videos to show what it may be capable of someday. 🤙🏻
The n63 is a very Stout engine once all of the bugs are ironed out and it seems you have that done. Now that you have a reliable base to start from you can start building your beast step by step. Definitely invest in the 90° thermostat cooling mod ASAP though. That in itself will extend your reliability unimaginably. Thanks for supporting the channel family!
I have the exact same car my Man. 13 x5 xdrive50i. I have the m performance package from the factory also. I have had the customer care package done as well. I have 116000 miles
Daily driven. I get on it from time to time and it holds up just fine. Had it for years. Upper oil pan gasket leak and that’s it. This is a great channel for cars like we have! Good luck to you and the X5
Y’all luckier than me. I’m still tryna get behind an N63TU but these dealerships are charging $2500-$3500 over fair market value.
@@AYO_KO hey I don’t care what anyone says, a original n63 properly maintained is just as good as any n63tu. Dead serious. They all have there issues but basic maintenance goes the distance with these

Sounds Great! Just curious. What year X6 is this? I recently purchased a 2014 X6 Xdrive50i that I'd like to do some mods to, Like, for instance, I want to change the seats out to racing seats and dye them if I have to. What seats are those in your X6? I really like them.
@@air_cafe Thanks! My car is a 2015 F86 X6M. Those seats are the stock seats the X6M comes with from the factory.
Nice mod but I like the straight pipe sound better. To me it sounds more aggressive. But that's just my opinion ✌️

I'm happy you enjoying the fam💯 The 2012 E71 is similar to the F86 but they do have a lot of differences. The things I definitely would do is the 90° thermostat and oil cooler valve upgrade for reliability purposes, especially if you live in a hot area. For performance you can do catless downpipes and a custom tune because your model x6m isn't as easy to get power out of as the f chassis x6m. In order to get big power out of your car, you will need to do upgraded turbos, a meth kit and some type of fueling upgrade, But the platform is hindered by the ECU when making power. If you want to upgrade any soon, definitely go for the F86 or F96 x6m as you can build as much power as you want with those and a lot easier as well.

That's definitely in the works for a future project just not this X6M. Maybe the e71 X6M. It's not a lot of ls swap parts available for the f chassis BMWs without spending a fortune on getting everything custom one-off done.
@@AutoLust and that's def not worth it for a S63 engine that just needs better fueling and tuning options and has a 1500hp capable block.
What brand is that exhaust? Looking to see if I wanna do a cat back straight pipe or just muffler delete with x pipe on stock setup
'14 alpina b7 here. Looking to get a deeper sound without tons of drone. Would you recommend resonator delete? Xpipe? Or xpipe and muffler delete?
Thanks for supporting the channel fam. The N63TU has a totally different sound than the S63TU (crossbank turbo headers ) in the video. For a B7 I would just do a muffler delete and the resonators will keep the drone out. That's what I did to my 650i and it sounded great and had no drone at all. Make sure you go to a reputable shop and use the same diameter exhaust pipe as your stock pipe.

The x-pipe did that. It's no rattle or drone on the highway anymore.
can you try and fine a guy with a x6 f16 50I and race it with your x6m i would but dont live in the usa
@Guacs123 It's no need a x6 50i couldn't beat a x6m if it's life depending on it mod for mod. Now maybe a fully Forged engine built out highly modded x6 50i could probably hang with a mildly modified X6M. The power difference is just too great. It's over a 150 wheel horsepower difference stock. So every mod that both cars have, the x6m will just get that much faster than the x6 50i. Now if you want to handicap the x6m, you can race a fully built x6 50i against a stock x6m, but then that isn't a race worth watching because it's not a fair race and if they both had the same power then they would both run the same times since the weight and aerodynamics are identical so it's really not a good race ether way you slice it.

Yo AL its been a minute!!! See yah still working on Sash!!! X pipe are everything thats what im running on my FX45. Still on the fence between X3mc and X5m s63. Just on basic oem alone hows the maintenance. I feel like on the straight 6 maintenance would be a little easier. Plus the turbos on top just scare me a lil bit. Any thoughts. Keep up the ggod work!!!
What's up fam! Regular maintenance is pretty standard compared to other cars, especially if you can do the oil change and tune-ups yourself. Honestly I get Sasha's tune-up done a lot faster with the V8 versus the straight 6 because with the straight 6 the rear most plug and coil is a pain to get to. If you do the cooling mods then the turbos being in the V of the engine won't really matter, Even more so if you had to wrap the down pipes and turbo headers.

Any drone sound in the Cabin?
It's significantly less drone in the lower gears and almost none at highway speeds now, but I'm also FULLY STRAIGHT PIPE front to rear.
They sounds different because the exhuast manifold is designed differently. Non-m cars have a traditional v8 sound and s63 sounds more foreign.
Thanks for supporting the channel fam, but I'm totally aware of the differences between the N63 and the S63 cars. Most people don't even know that the true M V8s use the N63 engine blocks there's no such thing as a S63 engine block. My is a true M-car. My X6M has the same s63tu engine and the same cross flow turbo exhaust manifolds as the M5 and M6 the only difference between the two is I'm all-wheel drive and have a 8-speed ZF transmission vs. The 7-speed DCT of the M5 and M6.

It definitely made a huge difference and it's the best thing I did to the exhaust. Sounds more like a traditional V8 now too.

@@LincolnEdwards-h7r Go to my most current videos. I'm well beyond a muffler delete. I just had 3.5-in full custom exhaust and downpipes made to be able to make the world record power I'm going for well over 1K whp. Also the car had a muffler delete already when I installed that x-pipe.

Thanks for supporting the channel fam. I love the old sound just as much as the new. It was definitely louder/aggressive, but didn't sound like a V8. Now it's deeper than the old high pitched raspy sound.
you lost all the burbles and pops, not sure if that's what you were going for. personally I like the way it sounded before.
I still have the burbles and pops. If you listen to the flyby part of the sound clip you can hear as I'm stopping its burgling. The car is just a pretty far away down the road so it's hard to pickup
