U could use both apu and gpu. It will help the apu run smoothly as there is a dedicated gpu. If no gpu ur Apu has the complete load and running more high end games for longer duration will eventually make the apu go crazy hot. Buy a gpu for better performance

Monitors may have either VGA cable(blue color) or HDMI/Display ports, you can simply connect in the appropriate port in motherboard. Driver CD will be in the motherboard box. You can simply autorun the CD install drivers
