- What you do as an artist matters. Regardless of what field of art you are involved in (Visual Arts, Music, Dance, Acting/theatre, photography or filmmaking). There will always be be people who will marginalize what you do and your calling as an artist. Naysayers will come from your home, friends, acquaintances and strangers. You have to either ignore or say goodbye to them!
