It takes a minute to find a special person like Joan, an hour to appreciate her, and a day to love her, but it will take an entire lifetime to try to forget her. We'll miss you Joan. ﴾͡๏̯͡๏﴿
I feel like the scene sort of went off the rails at that point but Oz (Piggy and the movie's director) just said "the hell with it" and just kept going. It also feels like two different scenes got edited together (thus why Piggy comes off as so manic-depressive, LOL).
I saw Joan Rivers on the street 2 years ago and said "Joan I loved you in the Muppets take Manhattan" she smiled and said thank you and waved. Loved this scene, she looks so different pre-surgery #200.
Despite how much I was never really a fan of Joan Rivers, I always thought this was hilarious! I grew up watching this movie, this is one funny scene between Joan and Piggy!
After Joan River passed away in September of 2014 a picture of her scene with Miss Piggy hung from the window of Bergdorf Goodman in New York City as a tribute to her performance in the film, that was shot at the makeup counter of the department store.
Absolutely brilliant. I’ll bet you anything they didn’t give Joan a script for the makeover section-they just said “Here, take this makeup and decorate Miss Piggy however you want.” Truly one of the greats! :D
Joan this is how I will always remember you. I can't tell you how much this seen made me laugh as a little girl! I also believe it began my love for makeup!
What a great piece with Joan and Miss Piggy, two of my favorites! Joan was always so spontaneous and funny. She is simply irreplaceble! Heaven must be a fun fun place to be.
Miss Piggy's time with Eileen really helped her through tough times when she saw Kermit with Jenny. Frank Oz and Joan Rivers were funny together in this episode. Especially at 2:18!
I love Miss Piggy and Joan Rivers and she was great when she was in The Great Muppet Caper and The Muppet Movie and Muppets Take Manhattan and The Muppet Babies. I love Miss Piggy. Frank Oz was the voice of Miss Piggy.
@1985Nebraska How can this not fail to make you laugh? Jim Henson was great on finding good celebrity co-star appearances in his Muppet movies that starred in. If Jim were still alive or had lived longer, what would life be for him and for us Muppet fans? I don't know. But all I know is he was a genius with creativity. That part when their boss says "You Are Fired!" makes me laugh, too. Same with that big powder puff. "Powder Puff for you! And Powder Puff for me!" This is timeless.
Store manager-you are fired!
Joan and piggy look at each other,
And continue laughing hysterical.😆😆
I wish I had that same attitude.
Figured the store manager was talking to both of them?
Miss Piggy really needed that laugh after feeling like she's been dumped.
Who’s fired?
Piggy and Joan Rivers.
This is still hilarious to this day lol. I don't get how but it just is.
I just found this after not seeing it in years and I thought the same thing! You don't know why but it's funny! HA!
@@sycamoreleaves74 Real-time descents into madness are always funny ... except when they're real 🥲.
It really hits when Joan smashes lipstick on their faces in delight and they pan to the customers going wtf

RIP Joan Rivers. We'll miss you.
OMG. Ms. Piggy does it for me every time. I love her laugh!!
2:13 OMG, am I the only one who cracks up at the face piggy makes when she purses her lips for the lipstick?!
I'm 31 years old and I still giggles everytime I see this scene. It's what made me love Joan Rivers.
RIP Joan, thanks for the laughs.
My frog turned on me! LOL
" pigs don't have eyebrows" lol
When Joan hits Piggy at 1:33 I can't stop laughing.
Me too lol
It was good and funny I have it on DVD

I thoroughly enjoyed that, it made me forget all my troubles as miss rivers once said " making someone laugh is like giving them a little vacation"
This makes me hysterically laugh every time I watch it, I absolutely LOVE this 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
That was my favorite Joan part ever. I had to come straight here and watch it as soon as I found out:(
I saw this for the first time last night-I almost died.
I swear to God-this is the most maniacal scene in any movie-ever!
It's one of my all time faves. I just thought of it at random and HAD to see it!
I was a kid when I saw this and fell in love with Joan immediately.
So over the top, I love this bit so much.

This scene was a Hot Mess and I love it
Did you notice Joan's husband Edgar Rosenberg at the counter when
Piggy slips in as the boss approaches?
RIP Joan!
Imagine Frank telling Joan: "Let's go 'Hog' Wild in this scene" and it shows the two were having fun doing it.
This shouldn't be overlooked in a highlight reel.
I heard that Frank and Joan had a few drinks before this take. 🤣
The Ultimate Diva, and Joan Rivers too!
Ms. Piggy: Am I gorgeous?
Joan: Don't push it, PIG!
LMAO!
2 great Divas!
We miss u Joan!!❤❤❤❤❤
Candidate for my favourite Muppet gag: it's funny, it's chaotic, there's nothing nasty about it, it's cute and it promotes friendship.
I totally forgot how scene this funny was hadn’t watched this movie in a long while. It use to be my favorite as a kid out of The Muppet Movies.
I like it when Mr. Wrightston says sternly "You are fired."
May her rest in peace... :c
And that laugh at the end - 😂
I love Miss Piggy and Joan Rivers and she was great when she was in The Great Muppet Caper and The Muppet Movie and Muppets Take Manhattan and The Muppet Babies. I love Miss Piggy. Frank Oz was the voice of Miss Piggy.
