I had a man come up to me behind McDonald’s last week and ask me to buy him some food . He shook my hand and his hand felt like ice . He kept saying oh that heat feels good as he leaned near my window . I did buy him dinner and and gave him some cash and then I cried the whole way home .

I'm about to be homeless for a while, due to life events... and trust me, I can vouch for how much it means when someone helps you and you're down, because I've been there before as well.

I'm so glad to see that homeless encampment is organized and people can live with some semblance of dignity. If you give people a chance they might just surprise you. However some people have mental health issues or addictions etc.

Homeless from all across America making a beeline to Seattle. Crimes gone through the roof where I'm at in Chinatown and it's all homeless people who are responsible. I've got two daughters to protect and I've got tweakers out side trying to break in my apt building on multiple occasions. Thank you Seattle for putting the Navigation center where I live. It's an open air drug market down here. People laying craps in the bus stops and trying not to step on needles. So yeah, thank you Seattle for making it this way.

Having been homeless the best donations one could give are 12 ×12 brown tarps, not food or coffee. I remember my friend say, "please, no more chocolate... when a car pulled up to the shelter 😂. Gift cards are a currency for drugs but clothes are cool. What is really needed are safe places like this where you can pitch a tent in safety. I wonder if theft would be as bad as at the shelter?

Lookit Linda. The awareness brought to the issue by the video should be the takeaway. What is the bother with the music. He is trying to show the conditions they live in. Permanent resources are brought in by steady and constant voices being heard by the city BUT in the meantime, some food, coffee and a blanket are a big help. Never look down upon some one else's giving nature regardless of what they give.

So is it ok to help them if they smoke, drink and have coffee and energy drink addictions? How about the way they keep there tents? Is it ok to give them things when they wont get up and clean and be a productive member of society right where they are? They have phones and beds and say it sucks.. please let me know your criteria for helping others.
