Old bridge collapse,plus choking water plant growth and flood have made the flood worse , retrieveing the materials opens up the flow for now,great job.

Why didn't you remove the weeds before breaching the dam?
Because this is not a dam. It is a pile of floating debris brought in by flooding

Not a beaver dam. This is storm debris at best. And of course that plant that grows best in water and takes over. I do enjoy seeing that plant removed from the water and the water being able to move freely. It is amazing how big that plant grows. But again please stop calling you to be your dam because it's not there are no beavers in Singapore

I guess I missed the beaver damn because all I saw was a bunch of debris. Nothing packed in like the beaver damns I have encountered. Looked like an old fence just help up a bunch of water plants causing a clog as there was still flow under. Beaver would have blocked that drainage to make themselves a lake behind the damn.
We need to order a thumb right away huh?

This is more like it! He could have taken more out though, by putting it temporarily just on the side to catch more from floating away. Good effort anyway…
I feel this could have been prevented by cleaning out the weeds before they got that bad. The old bridge wouldn't clog it up like that if there wasn't the weeds.
need taller stronger bridges so they don't clog so easily.

Looks like someone break down an old house and threw all of the material in the canal or nearby a canal, the only reason for 're many big pierces of wood people don,t care about their environment

Should have cleaned out some of the weeds first. You are just causing problems for the people downstream.
