I think consenting adults can come to whatever arrangements they want. I think that the way the producers cut it, the first part of the season it appears Ximena is unethical and “using” seemingly nice guy Mike. But if you rewatch, she is open about every interaction and shockingly up front. This is because they had an arrangement. She ethically and definitively let Mike know that she was ending their arrangement. He couldn’t take it and we see what transpired.
Yeah it’s wild how people immediately jumped to call her a gold digger when the reality was that they had a deal that HE offered. It goes to show that people have their biases.

I remember one of my first jobs was as a cashier at Lowe's Hardware. This clerk developed a crush on me almost instantly & was constantly following me around. So I hid in my car, literally laying flat on the backseat, & I heard him walking around the parking lot calling out my name.

The ones that met online on a foreign dating site because “I couldn’t meet anyone in America” and then the American traveled to meet him or her, usually not too well. That’s not 100% true however I think most of the time. If in the entire United States you couldn’t find someone, I think you have a problem and something is wrong with you.

When the season first started, I felt bad about the way that Ximena was treating Mike. But, I appreciate the fact that she stated that she was not in ❤️ with Mike. I think that the way the producers cut it, the first part of the season it appears Ximena is unethical and “using” seemingly nice guy Mike. But if you rewatch, she is open about every interaction and shockingly up front. This is because they had an arrangement. She ethically and definitively let Mike know that she was ending their arrangement. He couldn’t take it and we see what transpired.

The ones that met online on a foreign dating site because “I couldn’t meet anyone in America” and then the American traveled to meet him or her, usually not too well. That’s not 100% true however I think most of the time. If in the entire United States you couldn’t find someone, I think you have a problem and something is wrong with you.

However, I think it's a red flag to go on those websites to meet someone ..social media is more understandable to form s relation there, that is more of the middle ground when it comes to meeting a foreign partner. Have to respectfully agree to disagree. Mike himself said Ximena was his FIRST girlfriend. While it’s seemingly hard to believe since he’s in his mid 30’s, but even so, you can’t tell me that he’s never seen anyone in a good relationship that he couldn’t have learned how to be in a relationship. When the season first started, I felt bad about the way that Ximena was treating Mike. But, I appreciate the fact that she stated that she was not in ❤️ with Mike. She even tried to give the engagement/marital ring back to him. She could have kept it and would try to sell it to someone in her country, but she did not. Mike kept calling his relatives in the US, and they kept telling him to get back on the next plane to NY. He would say that he would, but he wakes up the next am and still does not leave. Mike came across as a creepy disrespectful and immature person. He was following Ximena around like a long lost puppy dog. I do not feel sorry for him at all. I wish that Ximena’s family would have called the police and have him removed from the house. He is another person that cannot understand the word “No.” I do not even think that it is in his vocabulary. Mike gives out negative vibes about single men in the US. Mike, you cannot force someone to have a relationship with you. It has to be mutual. If you want advice, then why do you not follow through with what your family and friends are saying?
