Recipe
13.05 g/0.46 oz sweet almond oil (43.5%)
13.05 g/0.46 oz shea butter (43.5%)
3.75 g/0.13 oz candelilla wax (12.5%)
1-2 drops sweet orange essential oil (optional) (0.5%) / if you are planning to be exposed to sun or worry about ingesting essential oils then do not add any
Substitutions
You can swap the sweet almond oil for any oil you want
You can use mango butter instead of shea butter (refined or unrefined both are ok but the unrefined has a weird taste).
If you want to use beeswax, double the amount of wax in the recipe
If you prefer you can also use cocoa butter, which will give you a harder and less creamy texture

The only citrus essentials that won't cause photosensitivity are tangerine and mandarin. Other citrus oils can be used but you must make sure they're steam distilled and not cold pressed. Most citrus essential oils are cold pressed. Thanks

Beeswax. Just double the amount of the candelilla!

No, but the product shouldn't be used after 6 months
There is not water-based ingredients so no need for preservative for personal use :)
No but u will want a antioxidant that is oil soluble ( vitamin e oil)

anyone else noticing their beeswax pellets take much longer to melt over the butter? is this normal? dont want to ruin the stability of the shea butter by letting it cook too long
