Haha thanks! I really just love fishing and capturing all that I can on the water making. Maybe one day I show my kids what I was doing when I was younger lol
Thanks for sharing your time with us, Rich . A vote of appreciation on your release technique. It’s the best for our favorite linesiders of the deep and the magical kiss .. You are #1👍
Rich this is what it’s all about, it was literally a smorgasbord of striped bass especially that first one an that blue fish wow this was definitely an epic vid, awesome 🤙🏼🤙🏼
An I wish I was down your area It would definitely be awesome to have you as a guide, idk maybe I’ll take a trip when all this settles down, but I’d contact you through IG to find out what would be the best time, an once again awesome video
What an awesome video Rich! The battles against those fish were so cool to see! By the way, great choice of music, very chill and it fits much better than what most use nowadays 😁🎣🐟
Of course right, that first fish was awesome. But then to lose the Bomber from being cut off is just so ironic. Fishing is an exercise from extreme triumph or hero to zero on every cast. Humility, frustration and total instant gratification all in ten minutes lol. Great video dude. SoSoCal
Very nice sized fish, I think that one that peeled drag and came off was a big blue. They have a tendency to run one direction then stop on a dime and run in another direction
Love the honesty " started to nod off " We can sleep when we're dead. Rather be fishing while I'm tired than in bed looking at the inside of my eyelids !
Good stuff Rich. Yea you was definitely undergunned for the Cows and Gators. Awesome to see though. seems like its going to be a good year for fishing i don't know about our Covid situation though.
It’s nice to see you’ve been fishing in my area recently. And only go to where you are fishing weekday mornings or else you’ll get run over. And that place gets loaded with gator blues all in that river all the way to the back. And I’m surprised how many bass are back there but I’m not surprised too with all the bunker back there
Good one Rich-- that area has been hot dude. This year the kayaks really had a good one again but certain areas from shore has been phenomenal at night.
This video inspired me to troll my bomber at the mouth of my local river and BAM a 21" weakfish then a 20" fluke! THANKS love your vids. (also been using wonderbread finbacks and the stripers love them!)
Rich, I'm 52 and retired vet watching you from the Philippines. I'm planning to get a Pedal Kayak soon. I have a sit in kayak now with honda outboard. Love your kayak man, simple and reliable. Two questions for you if you don't mind: 1. Which drive type would you recommend for offshore fishing? The Hobie drive ( two flippers) or the Pedal drive using a Propeller? 2. Where do you mount your fish finder sensor?
Hey Dale, really sorry for the late reply. I would recommend the Hobie pedal drive. Also most if not all hobies now come with convenient mounting plates on the bottom of the kayak where you can mount your fish finder sensor. Hope this helps a little! Thank you for your service and tight lines out there!!
Hey rich nice vid brotha. was wondering why you like to stick with the 9’ for most of your surf applications. Especially at Montauk with some wind in your face. Clearly whatever you’re doing is working haha. But was just wondering if you ever step it up to 10 or 11 on the beach with some bigger surf. Tight lines.
Probably because it’s more convenient to cast for a long period of time compared to a heavier 10 or 11 foot setup, after some time it really takes a toll on your body.
Yeah exactly what Louis said. When I was a kid I used 10’ rods more and I actually won an 11’ ft lamiglass last year for a catch and release prize but I sold that because I’m so more comfortable with having a few different 9-9.6ft surf rods with different actions. So medium moderate fast action for 1/2-2ounce and medium heavy for 3/4-4ounce. If I’m fishing the montauk surf at night I’ll usually always go with the medium heavy unless it’s a calm night.
@@FishAholicTV Do you know anything about the Garmin Striker 4 just looking for something with gps. Figured it would be smart to have. Very knew to saltwater fishing from the yak . On the Mass RI line so I can't get into the spots in Rhode island I know. So i have to explore hoping to get my first striper from the kayak soon.
Hi Rich, huge fan of your vids! Please keep it up. Question, what kind of mount do you use for your go pro on the kayak? Is it a chest mount or head mount? thanks!
Hey Thanks man 🤙🏻 I always try my best! I use the head mount in the kayak, and rough surf to keep it above the splash zone. If I’m fishing a calm area from the bank I’ll probably consider using the chest mount.
Who else gets excited when Rich uploads a new video?? I do
Me!! Hope he gets 100k subs. Would help the channel 👏
Haha thanks for that this comment made my day! 🤙🏻
Man I could watch your vids all day. It’s easy to tell you love fishing, not just trying to be famous, which you should be, but keep it up!

Kiss and release! That’s how it’s gotta be done haha. Quality fish, Rich. Can’t wait for montauk 🤞🏼
I really appreciate your work. Greetings from Portugal 🇵🇹 🇵🇹

Another great video, thanks Rich . And this one had lots of helpful advice 👍
Great vid as always, can’t wait to see you hit 100k. I’ve been watching for forever, definitely well deserved.

If you're tired enough, you just might get there, just saying.

Awesome video as always!. Beautiful fish!
Classic example of "When you spoke too soon" at 14:58 :)
Damn, those two lost fishes did put up quite a fight and never showed their faces!

What part of the states is it?
Slayed it bro! Some good fishing 👌
Awesome outing!! some sweet bass
Awesome!!

Nice 1st fish of the day👍
You found a good spot to launch. I always worry about getting a ticket or towed parking next to mansions back there.
Cool!!
Love these videos
Thanks man glad to hear 🤙🏻

best outing in a while man!
Yesterday in eastern nc in the brackish river the water temp was up to 84!

Amazing vidéo ! 🇫🇷
Never saw someone start catching a fish from a yak and transition to surf fishing. Very well done.
Killed it! Nice outing
Good work!
Killer session

Great day!!
Damn that first striper was nice

Nice going Rich
Thanks!! 🤙🏻
Awesome day dude
Nice fishing my friend 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣👍👍🤝
Nice fish man
Catch, kiss and release! Amazing video my friend! Huge fish got away
Nice gator blue.
You dont get nervous with the waders on in the kayak
Tlow Yeah he’s taking a risk there
When waders fill with water they will sink you. Or, at least, make it real hard to stay afloat.
Nickhead87 you could drown if your waders fill up with water, bc of your body weight combined with the difficulty of swimming with them on
Good job
That’s a good one!! 💪🏽💪🏽
Yo nice striper buddy. Great video.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Brandon 🤙🏻
Nice day.
That was awesome. Great fishing time. Are you planning to be in Connecticut.
Thanks! Right now I don’t have any plans to fish Connecticut unfortunately
Spot Burn!!!
Plan to kayak fishing in NJ next week. Not sure which spot to go yet. Is this in north Jersey or south? which bay it is? Thanks
Great video!
What are the little clasps you're tieing on, to be able to quick change your lures? I see it's not a snap swivel.
They’re called power clips and they’re great for switching out a plug in a few seconds
Scooter D Tactical Angler clips. Come in 4 different weight rating. Usually use the 125lb one for them.
Thanks guys!
Thanks guys, you all are fast to help 🤙🏻. Yeah they are called Tactical angler clips I was using the 75lb snaps.
@@FishAholicTV thank you!
What's the benefit of a heavier leader with lighter main line?
Cool..

FishAholic Fishing yeah the nine footers have also became my go to rods because of their versatility
You are best
If you fell into the water you would become a human boat ancher with those boots on
I would bet he's got a knife ready.
Does the water inside the waders weigh more than the water outside the waders?
Brad T so you’re saying someone that fell into deep water while wearing waders they wouldn’t sink to the bottom?
Is that the navesink river?
Rich don't leave that bomber next to those big bass to long she was getting a good look at it 😂
Haha 😆 I gotcha 👌🏻
What kind of fish finder do you use?
thats the navesink river
i fish that spot a lot its about 3 minute bike ride from where i live
Dang nice Stripers congrats.
I’m getting tsunami real the same one as you have are they good?
That MOJO is really bending well just bought a 9 ft avid med mod fast
Nice hope the rod works well for yah 🤙🏻
What fishfinder you usin Rich?

You're welcome to join us in RI anytime bro
Sweeeeeeeeet!
When are you planning to go back to Montauk?
June so most likely in the next few videos
awesome video, time for haircut! ;-)
Haha thanks! Yeah I need to get one really bad
What depth finder do u use?
Awesome video! Is this saltwater or freshwater? I can't tell...
Hey make some vid about how to Catch bass and some lures .
Hey bro what suit is that? Looks very cool
Was this in New York or New Jersey?
What fish finder is that Rich looking for a budget friendly one with gps
It’s the lowrance hook4 but I think it’s discontinued unfortunately
@@FishAholicTV Do you know anything about the Garmin Striker 4 just looking for something with gps. Figured it would be smart to have. Very knew to saltwater fishing from the yak . Where did you get your kayak??
Ramsay outdoor store in New Jersey
is this napeague bay
Hey what is the name of your Road please
Amazing session. Strippers are thick where your at. Unlike the SF Bay / Delta. We used to see 25lb + in the bay. Now? Rarely if ever.😡🤢🤮☠️☠️👽
Aww sorry to hear that. Would like to get out there this year to catch Stripers. Maybe this fall.
