We own a Kelpie. Everything mentioned here is pretty accurate. She tolerates our cats. She is not as socialized as we would have hoped and that resulted in her wanting to fight any dog she sees. We are still working with her. She is a great watchdog. She is just the right size. 73 pounds. Super intelligent and very high energy for sure. All around great dog!
How does she do in cold weather? My only hesitation. I live in MI and it gets to zero F/-17 C for a solid month in the winter, and is in the 20s F/ -4 C quite a bit.
Both these dog's are awesome. I have a 2 yr old kelpie. We got our Bella as a puppy, she lives inside with my 76 year old mum and I . She's so well behaved and friendly!🤗😘💓🐺

Was looking for a Malinois but ended up rescuing a Kelpie instead and do not regret my decision. Best dog I’ve ever had.
