My grandma had something like this in Germany, she took it with us on holiday. She did a small load in the bathroom, I was super impressed. This is good when you're travelling and you're in a pinch. It was a heatwave so she just hung them outside to dry.
I saw the handle pop off before the demo and its so funny to watch these ladies act like it never happened. Makes me wonder how durable this machine is....
i agree that the durability is doubtful but from at 4:01 when she is putting the lid on, the handle is in shut position unlike the other handle. it maybe wrongly/awkwardly positioned. the lady in the video didn't realize this unfortunately.
I know this 7 years old.. However, as these little hand washers are still available today, in 2021, they cant be too bad. Those handles/lid clamps appear to be "clip off" handles, like those used on plastic storage boxes.
I saw that to at 4:00 but I also saw that she accidentally pushed it open with her finger, she showed her finger in between the top lid and the clamp. So it was her fault.
I wouldn't mind sending my family this I'm Cambodia. It may seem stupid to us because we have washing machines but people in third world countries would love this :)
I can see how this would spin the clothes slightly but how does this wash the clothes when all it does is spin, there is no agitation. The water is thrown to the outside as it spins, so how is it going through the clothes. The Wonder Washer looks like it would do a far better job of washing because it is an enclosed pod with a handle that is turned back and forth mimicking the agitation of a front load washing machine.
that is just a bucket that spins. I created the same effect with 10 dollars. I purchased a large red tub and placed a strainer inside of it. Then added water, soap and placed the clothes inside the strainer. Then I spun the strainer inside the red tub. It spun exactly like a washing machine. However I washed twice the amount they did in this video.
I have the eco spin and use a 5 gallon bucket and plunger! Washes 10 large items ( 2 pair of jeans,2 sweat shirts, 1 large towel ect) in 10 minutes!! And washes laundry better than a machine!!
I just added this to Favorites! I don't know when I will be able to afford to get it, as rent is about to go up and I may be struggling a bit before a possible roommate opportunity, but I would really like to get this in the near future.
A couple of plastic containers a handle and few bits and pieces - it's a glorified salad spinner. This thing would cost less than $10 to make... and they want $90 for it?
OMG! Yesterday, I'm looking for foot power washing machine for wash a small clothes. I end up using a vegetable spinner dryer to wash the babies clothes. It works perfectly. I got the spinner for 2$ it works the same way as this one.
I actually have this it's really nice! Only downside I see is the spin cycle is nice but still the clothes are kind of damp you need to let your clothes hang dry for awhile
What?! The ladies suggest dumping the soapy water into a lake, or river, or stream if you're out camping. I don't care what kind of soap is being used, that is not a good suggestion. Plus, plastic breaks.
It's 2019 and I'm seeing this for the first time... ROFLMAO!!! Doing a bit of research... she overfilled the machine. We're only suppose to fill clothes to the halfway mark on the basket then fill the water to the water mark which actually covers the clothes. Different between this and a household electric machine. The electric machine has an agitator to work the soap through the fabric. All this is is an oversized salad spinner. Fortunately for me. I have the biggest OXO salad spinner they ever made which they no longer make. Its a giant 12" diameter by 8" tall. The current biggest model is only 10.5" x 6". I love how she goes on about how easy this would be for people with arthritis. But those of us with arthritis don't want to be cranking some janky overprices P.O.S... At least my OXO salad spinner uses a push top method to engage internal gears to have it spin. And I've measured the max rpm's of my OXO basket at 20 rotations times per second. Though this machine turns four times per crank ~ you'd have to crank it 5 times a second to get the speed I can get with my OXO salad spinner lol... and that would be hell on anyone with arthritis.
becksta29 I been using a salad spinner I got from goodwill to dry my clothes AND the reason I got this is because of the size this is a big salad spinner but it’s a lot easier than wringing your clothes out & it’s $49 on their website plus they have flex pay cheapest laundry solution in a pinch besides the tub lol
Dulce Amor thanks anyways but I ended up buying a spinner already. Thats awesome you got a larger salad spinner from goodwill :) I ended up going with camping equipment company for $59 Australian dollars for basically the same type of large laundry spinner. I love it and it yes it does beat doing it all by hand lol no way I hate doing that.
Absolutely not the first. And there are much more efficient ones that this model when this was made. One is called "Wonder wash". It's a pressure container so the detergent get's "forced" into the clothes, then you spin for 2 mins, repeat at least once to rinse. Easy! Oh and for less than half the price. Dunno what this lady got her info from but there are many different variants out there...
In a natural disaster when you do not have electricity, many times you don't have clean water either and besides, saving your families lives, food and clean water are probably more important than clean clothes at that time.
i dont think she put enough water into the basket😂 but maybe less water was the easiest to demo since she did not have to put much muscle strength haha
Water is harder to get in a natural disasters .I dont think you wanna use a gallon of water to wash a few clothes compared to using it for food and drinking.
@LordenTree. I was addressing the part where they say its for natural disasters. If its for home use, be my guest. Its not a bad idea for one or few piece of clothing. The natural disaster part i disagree
This isn't the first manual powered washing machine they had one back in like 1900 that was made of wood pshh! just go get a salad spinnerfor 10 bucks it will do the same thing.
Nothing beats using an expensive old fashion wash broad that will clean your clothes so much better than this ice cream churner disqised as a portable washer.
These home shopping channels, especially HSN, typically sell things that are about the same quality as a flea market. Shop with caution. But I think many people at least one here have that figured out.
do your clothes get non dripping dry with its spin cycle? i have a similar machine and after 3 minutes of turning as fast as i can, the clothes will still drip when hung on a rack.
No it isn't he first non electric washing machine, maybe the first tiny one , Iv seen 1950's non powered washing machines used on old boats etc . It's a cool idea if you can use it . Wish they weren't using chemicals to show a really eco friendly version
+tiredrummertube. Thank you for the tip. it didn't even occur to me it might be a clerical mistake. I will check a them. I really would love to buy one. But not for 500 bucks! lol
that thing probly dosent work vary well considering it just spins the clothes in sope thare isnt even a 2nd agitator al least have it tumble how is that supposed to clean your clothes
It's not. It's a complete gimmick... The silliest thing was that the TV presenter actually compared a regular electric washing machine to this thing. The way this $90 plastic junk washes clothes for 10 minutes doesn't even come close to what the washing machine does for 5.
Bruce Falls is the same machine they just showing it like that for SLOW PEOPLE WHO GET CONFUSE... and maybe ask the same questions like u.. it’s just 1 MACHINE OK HUN 👌
looks like a salad spinner to me, as a matter of fact i used a small salad spinner to wash my socks when i was on a camping trip... so the "inventor" didnt invent anything in my opinion

4:07 "Let me get that basket situated" * Handle snaps clean off *
I saw the handle pop off before the demo and its so funny to watch these ladies act like it never happened. Makes me wonder how durable this machine is....
Beverly Wilson omg I can’t believe they posted this then. I must have missed that part. Ty for lettin us know
i agree that the durability is doubtful but from at 4:01 when she is putting the lid on, the handle is in shut position unlike the other handle. it maybe wrongly/awkwardly positioned. the lady in the video didn't realize this unfortunately.

I wouldn't mind sending my family this I'm Cambodia. It may seem stupid to us because we have washing machines but people in third world countries would love this :)
Ena Sim it’s like a really handy washboard
I can see how this would spin the clothes slightly but how does this wash the clothes when all it does is spin, there is no agitation. The Wonder Washer looks like it would do a far better job of washing because it is an enclosed pod with a handle that is turned back and forth mimicking the agitation of a front load washing machine.
Lol these ladies give the craziest instances of where you need this. If ur in a tornado u are definitely worried about ur delicates.
Perfect in case the power goes out or if you're going off grid. Also, great for campers too.
that is just a bucket that spins. I created the same effect with 10 dollars. I purchased a large red tub and placed a strainer inside of it. Then added water, soap and placed the clothes inside the strainer. Then I spun the strainer inside the red tub. It spun exactly like a washing machine. Can you do a tutorial ?
Yes I would like that too. How did you set up the spinning?
I have the eco spin and use a 5 gallon bucket and plunger! Washes 10 large items ( 2 pair of jeans,2 sweat shirts, 1 large towel ect) in 10 minutes!! And washes laundry better than a machine!!
I just added this to Favorites! I don't know when I will be able to afford to get it, as rent is about to go up and I may be struggling a bit before a possible roommate opportunity, but I would really like to get this in the near future.
I love this product. Its the closest product that could get the job done to a washing Machine. May get it for a Mobile rv or something in the future.
A couple of plastic containers a handle and few bits and pieces - it's a glorified salad spinner. This thing would cost less than $10 to make... and they want $90 for it?
+jbooks888 I know people are so lazy!!!
jbooks888 i actually saw that and thought.. my dads salad spinner?.......
Exactly, rovsun offers a washer and spinner for 87 on amazon
Thats an opportunity. Make an improvement, patent it, then sell it id you think you could do better
jbooks888 ikr
OMG! Yesterday, I'm looking for foot power washing machine for wash a small clothes. I end up using a vegetable spinner dryer to wash the babies clothes. It works perfectly. I got the spinner for 2$ it works the same way as this one.
that's what i need a really big salad spinner ! hehehehe!
I actually have this it's really nice! Only downside I see is the spin cycle is nice but still the clothes are kind of damp you need to let your clothes hang dry for awhile
it's basically a large salad spinner
Robbie Crosbie great idea!!
Robbie Crosbie 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Robbie Crosbie lol exactly
I’m going to try this with a salad spinner
Minijeva 1 did yoy try it?
I want this landry pod in Asia with fair price! This item too over price should be 19.90us dollar and make everyone have it for eco.
Where was this when I was in soccer?!? All those back to back games I had to wash my jersey in the kitchen!!!
at 3:48 and she broke the handle...lol..you are fired!!
I would use it primarily for spin cycle. Use a wash board, then rinse and spin dry.
stackable washers and dryers that do both, are both small and cheap. you dont need to buy a piece of plastic that breaks in the commercial!
What?! The ladies suggest dumping the soapy water into a lake, or river, or stream if you're out camping. I don't care what kind of soap is being used, that is not a good suggestion. Plus, plastic breaks.
Is there a larger version? Like double that size?
It's 2019 and I'm seeing this for the first time... ROFLMAO!!! Doing a bit of research... she overfilled the machine. We're only suppose to fill clothes to the halfway mark on the basket then fill the water to the water mark which actually covers the clothes. Different between this and a household electric machine. A salad spinner is cheaper, plus she broke it before the video even reached 4 min lol... definitely not worth $90
Libby Cosner exactly at 04:08 lol
Libby Cosner can u get salad spinners as large and strong as this?
becksta29 I been using a salad spinner I got from goodwill to dry my clothes AND the reason I got this is because of the size this is a big salad spinner but it’s a lot easier than wringing your clothes out & it’s $49 on their website plus they have flex pay cheapest laundry solution in a pinch besides the tub lol

becksta29 what did you get?
Now how do you clean bedding and comforters?
World's first manual washing machine ?? Have these been available since the 70s? Hand spinner washers been available for ages.
Perfect for baby items! Omg!
Yep, that was funny. Like they didn't hear the handle hit whatever they had on the floor. Demo gone bad.... LOL
Great salad washer and dryer!
I have seen so many of this // this is the best.
This should be sold in every country's house stuff shop! Why doesn't it???
What about more bulky items like towels, sheets, blankets
Now...this is interesting.
I love how they says it’s world first that’s false advertising, because manual non-electric wash machines been around for centuries.
In a natural disaster when you do not have electricity, many times you don't have clean water either and besides, saving your families lives, food and clean water are probably more important than clean clothes at that time.
Haha the other lock just flew away 😂😂😂
Notice how she did the rinse cycle with new clothes that don’t have the leftover soap on it.
Exactly.
And she did it in a NONseethru spinner so we can't see the dirty soapy mess created!
can it wash blankets
Depends on how much laundry
Buy a commercial size salad spinner. For a quarter of the price
Does it use environmentally-friendly plastic?
World's first my foot. I've seen others.
i dont think she put enough water into the basket😂 but maybe less water was the easiest to demo since she did not have to put much muscle strength haha
I got this and wash my clothes in the tub and just use this to spin dry it’s a lot bigger than a lot of these salad spinners and it locks.
Actually i am interested in this product, can anyone tell me from which online shopping sites like amazon, flipcart etc. I can buy this?
Water is harder to get in a natural disasters .I dont think you wanna use a gallon of water to wash a few clothes compared to using it for food and drinking.
MILKWynn But i dont want to use 30 gallons of water in regular machine this is salad spinner and its using 1 gallon
@LordenTree. I was addressing the part where they say its for natural disasters. If its for home use, be my guest. Its not a bad idea for one or few piece of clothing. The natural disaster part i disagree
“It’s for righties or lefties because I can go both ways” only uses right had (p.s. I get that she’s showing it moves both ways
I'd like to see someone with arthritis turning that handle! You can get a small portable electric unit for the same price!
This isn't the first manual powered washing machine they had one back in like 1900 that was made of wood pshh! just go get a salad spinnerfor 10 bucks it will do the same thing.
A cool ideea but a bigger one would be great
A wash board??
Can I use this for my salads too?
donde se puede comprar y precio quiero una paso lavando a mano y me canso
how was the time it? and permanently or temporary?
Trouble started at minute 4:00. At 4:12 she didn't even lock it into place.
LOL
yeah, that plastic handle popped right off! lol
I tried to order one today when I saw the video, but was told they are sold out, so someone likes what they're design for, small items.
Nothing beats using an expensive old fashion wash broad that will clean your clothes so much better than this ice cream churner disqised as a portable washer.
LOL @ the handle break
World's first?
Me: stares at my hands....
Help me...Which is better? This Laundry Pod(basically large salad spinner) or Wonder Wash?
Wonder wash. Because it will actually clean the clothes.
Like 1.2k awesome
Which price
yeah, but it's literally just for small items... what about my long big trousers? my shirts? my bath towel? seems too small for me.
These home shopping channels, especially HSN, typically sell things that are about the same quality as a flea market. Shop with caution. But I think many people at least one here have that figured out.
This looks pretty cool. Has anyone used this yet?
can you buy in the UK?
Ti chiedo se non ti serve più la lavatrice a mano se puoi mandarmi il coperchio naturalmente ti pago le spese di spedizione grazie
Is it available in Nigeria
I want one of these
How my big coat and double duvet fit in that washing pod?
Who is the host? Beautiful and curvy.
Yeah right!
Maytag wringer washers had a hand operated system!! Damit. People!
4:08 😂😂 we can see great machine
Will it wash jeans men 🤔
You know it takes up to 2 gallons or more easily? It takes more water than it says in the instructions! I have one🙂
do your clothes get non dripping dry with its spin cycle?
i have a similar machine and after 3 minutes of turning as fast as i can, the clothes will still drip when hung on a rack.

Wish they weren't using chemicals to show a really eco friendly version
Can't they make something larger
Not good enough for blankets and coats, it’s just not big enough, and the handle might break it might not be strong enough.
I like how they over exaggerate....
u love this..
HSN doesn't have it anymore.
I only found it on Amazon.
They want $499.95 for one!!!!!!!!!
Unbelievable!!!
+Bee Ess thats got to be a clerical error but shame on amazon for not correcting or checking on it.
+tiredrummertube. Thank you for the tip.
it didn't even occur to me it might be a clerical mistake. I will check a them. I really would love to buy one. But not for 500 bucks!
lol
رائعة
Yeah get your kids to do the washing😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
omg ,you broke that cover’s handle.. 4:07
I like it, for a mini wash like baby cloths ,underwear's
The thing is falling apart. This is not good.
I think you can buy cheaper versions of this.dont know if they are any good.i like the idea of low water and detergent use in principle.
je voudrais une comme ça
thats .. my salad spinner
that thing probly dosent work vary well considering it just spins the clothes in sope thare isnt even a 2nd agitator al least have it tumble how is that supposed to clean your clothes

Brian Coley 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That's just an oversized vegetable rinser.
was just about to say that
for LG's speed wash cycle 15 minutes
How much
looks like a salad spinner to me, as a matter of fact i used a small salad spinner to wash my socks when i was on a camping trip... so the "inventor" didnt invent anything in my opinion
I would use that as a steak tenderizer before my mom would do the wash...
Wait, ... That's a salad spinner.
The clothes on top ain’t even touching the water...
@StefLuva9966 Dorian, is that you?
LOL this was not the first manul washing maching the vary first was calld THE EDDY
