I've noticed the Specialized Torch has only two boas. In my opinion, they finally got it right. There's no reason for the closures to squeeze your toes together from the front or the joints where metatarsal bones meet the proximal phalanges. As long as your foot is held back and into the heel cup and your foot is secure in the shoe there's no reason to restrict the toes. It's amazing to me that it took all the shoemakers so long to figure that out. I'm looking forward to someone doing a running shoe with a lacing system that takes that into account. I designed a running shoe years ago with an asymmetrical lacing system that worked that way. The company I was working for was a startup that decided to do something else, but the shoe was a big hit with everyone who got a chance to try them.
@@johnkasza2315 I can’t wait the 45 with too big. The champagne color is a special edition so it only comes in full sizes. Hopefully the 44 will fit. I have a sneaking suspicion I should be in a 44.5 on the shoe.😢
If when you do post your follow-up on how the booties did, can you also mention if you're someone who happens to get cold quickly when you're on the bike? In general, I tend to add 5C degrees to the min temp on winter stuff for me. And another plug for the METRIC SYSTEM!! Water freezing/boiling temps - 0 or 100C. In F, 32 and 212!! Are we trying to make it confusing!?!? 😛Cubic meter = 1000L ... how many cubic feet in a gallon!? 🤦 I think I would turn into a "single issue voter" if a candidate supported the metric system 🤣

i have the 902 s--fantastic shoes--the regular ones are fairly wide and not as narrow as sidi are for me
I need to post the unboxing of the 903 - they were too big I have the next size down inbound
@@SeeYouUpTheRoad youll love them--great heal cup with zero movement--again unlike sidi --pretty big toe box also which i like
