The Giant Hogweed is taking over around parts of Warrington, but down the Irwell Valley, Forest Bank and Drinkwater Parks, it's like Day of the Triffids.
A Grand Bimble Kieran...I Was Wondering How You,d Integrate The Music Into This One.. Of Course Speed Up The Walking Footage... Senior Moment From Me There ...Keep Up The Good Work...Mate ...Frank & Lee......
Lived in Warrington over 20 years and never ventured out that way. Let's see the back of December 2022 ice and exploring I will go. Thanks for the inspiration
Good to see you back Keiran, hope the finger is on the mend. Another well filmed and informative video, looked a bit chilly though! Keep up the good works.
Might go there tomorrow, was the ship canal froze over? Twenty years ago, you could see across the eyes nearest the M6 but now its a dense mass of trees, nature taking back control.
Let us get it right folks, the River Mersey is still the boundary between Lancashire and Cheshire, there has never been any legislation to change that. The problem arises from the 1974 Local Government Act which changed administrative Areas and NOT historic county boundaries. The government at the time stated this clearly. Unfortunately, Warrington BC took advantage of this to the detriment of the town's heritage. Some things do not change, If you live on the north side of the Mersey and you were to die intestate, the Duchy Of Lancaster would get your estate. More information on this from the Association of British Counties (ABC) or Friends of Real Lancashire (FORL)
Update, the last area you visited, Latchford beach, is now totally fenced off, shame but offroad motor bikers had started using it disturbing wildlife. The amount of plastic and rubbish coming down river from filthy people in Manchester and Stockport etc.is staggering, there are whole islands of it at Woolston weir and other places, the river bank is lined with it spoiling a beautiful section of river.

Surely it should be 'Limble', or maybe that sounds too much like a 70s bread loaf lol
