loved this episode. with seeing how you guys reacted to the new fontaines dc album id love to see you give midas by wunderhorse a listen it’s a 10/10 album and it’s very similar to fontaines.
Matt and Mica you have changed my life with this album, this shit is an absolute instant classic. Any album that has a song that made me cry will always have a special place in my heart. And this one had two.
The fact you give your guests gifts is so thoughtful and sweet! Mica and Matt seem super cool and down to earth and I’m glad you were able to talk to them!
they are legit so humble and so sweet. i waited with some other fans in portland after the show to meet them, and they came out and signed stuff for everyone and had a full on conversation with each person. i was literally shocked at how long they spent talking to each of us LOL! they are truly dedicated to their art and their fans. on top of that, they did an entire livestream breaking down the production of mercurial world which i thought was so generous. i feel like most artists would gatekeep that stuff!!

@@taniabargI think that being a mid known artist is way BETTER than a great icon. You can give attention to your fans, and have some privacy. I don't think they want anymore.
Mag Bay’s music is way more impactful than they realize. It’s like reading your favorite book. It takes you into a different world and touches your spirit 😭
you guys are so missing out on Mk.gee’s new record. Easily top 10 this year. Kevin would especially appreciate the 80s inspired production. Please listen to it 😊
Its cool how you guys became a reference in music on the internet, simply by listening and enjoying albums together. Theneedledrop and turning the tables are great channels to keep on with the current music trends, i'm an old head when it comes to music in general, so it's cool having channels like these to keep myself aware of all the great musicians out there, i'm not into the pop or hyperpop bubble, but magdalena bay deserves all the praise. I sleep a lot on new artists, so you guys are doing a great job in advertising those artists, thanks a lot for that.
You might want to register on Rate Your Music to keep up with new music. They have a nice recommendation system based on what you rate and how , and charts make you keep up with new music.
And btw. For most people, the ability to discover new music stops at around 29-30 years old since that's when the taste for art cements if you are not challenging your taste all the time. That's a really good thing that as an "old head" you still can value new art.
i think its really cool that a lot of people are getting into these two at the same time, cause it leads to silly communal things like my comfort youtube channel talking to this group that i just started loving too. very cool interview y'all, good job and thank you
