You know, I can be having a shitty day and hearing Phil X say "Have a kickass day" will totally turn it around. Plus, that song totally kicked ass! You guys rock!
You guys are always so fun to watch and listen to because you're having fun when you perform. That's a lot better than those guys that stand there and act all cool and just jam. Great bands have fun! Thanks Phil, Daniel and Matt... you guys rock!
Phil's "singing" reminds me of that 80's Heavy Metal vocal style where every note is as high as possible and they can't quite get there, so it's always a semi-tone flat. Like that Target commercial from a couple of Christmases ago.
The Drills are The Shit! Excellent cover, AS USUAL!I wasn't expecting the drummer to start singing, but he did it quite well. Anyone who can play drums and sing at the same time while maintaining tempo and without missing a beat has got my respect, for sure.
Fart it all to hell man!! The Queen cover is amazing! Whatever yall have done to the production in the latest batch of vids keep it up and don't change anything! Its about perfect, btw, the drummer has some kickass vox skills as well, You guys are all great singers & thats hard to come by..Much love my brother!!
holy shit. this tele sounds great! and Tie Your Mother Down was pure fire. please tell me this drummer played on at least some of the next Drills record!
This version of The Drills is AMAZING!! Drummer is KILLIN IT! Now to the Tele-I hear vintage market not fully recovered.I hear parts Tele-hmm maybe...14G's??I paid that for a new Saturn 20 yrs ago and got 9 years of travel! LOL! Does sound AWESOME though!
Great Queen cover guys, you ripped it up! I would've liked to hear more Alice Cooper that Killer album had some Killer riffs on it wait what? The guitar tones and writing were so awesome.
You've got one aspect of this tele wrong Phil, what you percieved to be the middle selection of both pickups together actually was the neck pickup on its own but at full blast and not with the wooly tone that the upper selection has.
+MuscleDad420 Nope because an esquire doesn HAVE a neck pickup. Here read about it yourself. www.guitarhq.com/52tele.html "New wiring on a Telecaster. (Note the wiring change was late 1952.) That is, the 3 position switch forward position was the neck pickup with a "woof tone" capacitor (no tone adjustment.) Middle switch position was the neck pickup with the tone knob implemented. Rear switch position was the bridge pickup with no tone adjustment. This wiring used a .05mfd cap soldered between the two pots, and a .1mfd cap between the volume pot's ground and the 3 way switch."
love ur show man!!! I tell everyone about ur channel. I learn so much in less time u and Marty Swartz are my friends and I don't mingle with many . I want an evil robot where and how can I get one and how much?
You know, I can be having a shitty day and hearing Phil X say "Have a kickass day" will totally turn it around. Plus, that song totally kicked ass! You guys rock!

The secret behind Phil's madness: Death Wish Coffee
